In analogy to the formation of SIMOX (Separation by IMplanted OXygen) material which is presently the most promising silicon-on-insulator technology, high-dose ion implantation of cobalt in silicon is used to synthesise buried CoSi2 layers. So far, for high-dose ion implantation of Co in Si, only formation of CoSi2 is reported. In this paper it will be shown that CoSi inclusions occur when the stoichiometric Co concentration is exceeded at the peak of the Co distribution. 350 keV Co+ ions are implanted into (001) Si wafers to doses of 2, 4 and 7×l017 per cm2. During the implantation the wafer is kept at ≈ 550°C, using beam heating. The subsequent annealing treatment was performed in a conventional nitrogen flow furnace at 1000°C for 5 to 30 minutes (FA) or in a dual graphite strip annealer where isochronal 5s anneals at temperatures between 800°C and 1200°C (RTA) were performed. The implanted samples have been studied by means of Rutherford Backscattering Spectroscopy (RBS) and cross-section Transmission Electron Microscopy (XTEM).

Indoor air pollution in closed room is one of the air pollution that gives serious threats to human health. One of them come from vehicle gas emissions in closed parking area. This research identifies and analyses CO concentration measured in Mall X parking man’s breathing zone with closed parking area and in Mall Y semi-opened parking area. CO measurement carried out by passive sampling method using Personal Dosimeter Tubes. Measurement result of CO gas concentration to parking man’s breathing zone in Mall X was 25 – 81,25 ppm with average value in 50 ± 26,15 ppm. Meanwhile CO gas concentration in Mall Y gave result 3,13 – 12,5 ppm with average value in 7,88 ± 4,36 ppm. Correlation value between CO concentration and its intake in Mall X area was 0,9983, meanwhile correlation value between CO concentration and its intake in Mall Y area was 0,9903. It was concluded that CO gas concentration measured in parking man’s breathing zone influenced the differences of CO intake value in significance value.

AbstractIn this work, first-principles calculations of the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of Heusler alloys CoMnYAl, CoMnYGa and CoMnYIn are presented. The full potential linearized augmented plane waves (FP-LAPW) method based on the density functional theory (DFT) has been applied. The structural results showed that CoMnYZ (Z = Al, Ga, In) compounds in the stable structure of type 1+FM were true half-metallic (HM) ferromagnets. The minority (half-metallic) band gaps were found to be 0.51 (0.158), 0.59 (0.294), and 0.54 (0.195) eV for Z = Al, Ga, and In, respectively. The characteristics of energy bands and origin of minority band gaps were also studied. In addition, the effect of volumetric and tetragonal strain on HM character was studied. We also investigated the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of the doped Heusler alloys CoMnYGa1−xAlx, CoMnYAl1−xInx and CoMnYGa1−xInx (x = 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1). The composition dependence of the lattice parameters obeys Vegard’s law. All alloy compositions exhibit HM ferromagnetic behavior with a high Curie temperature (TC).
