This paper explored the perceptions and career goals of undergraduate tourism students, before and during the pandemic COVID-19, in the Universidad Estatal de Milagro, in Milagro, Ecuador. The study is based on a quantitative approach. The sample is made up of 207 students during 2018 (before the COVID-19 pandemic) and 161 students in 2020 (during COVID-19). The questionnaire included questions about professional perceptions and questions about the professional goals that students have in the short and long term. Finally, perceptions exclusively related to COVID-19 were measured.  The results showed that the vast majority of the students are highly motivated and committed to pursue a career in the tourism industry. A high percentage of the participants expressed their desire to do a Tourism master degree and undertake their own tourism businesses, despite the uncertainty now generated by COVID-19. Enterprise resilience is a key capacity to guarantee enterprises’ long-term continuity. This paper proposes a quantitative approach to enhance enterprise resilience by selecting optimal preventive actions to be activated to cushion the impact of disruptive events and to improve preparedness capability, one of the pillars of the enterprise resilience capacity. The proposed algorithms combine the dynamic programming approach with attenuation formulas to model real improvements when a combined set of preventive actions is activated for the same disruptive event. A numerical example is presented that shows remarkable reductions in the expected annual cost due to potential disruptive events.

This study aims to determine to know the relationship of short term and long term of dualism monetary instrument, in conventional there is SBI, and PUAB, money supply (M2) and in islamic instrument there is SBIS,PUAS and money supply (M2). The approach used is a quantitative approach using VAR/VECM. The results of the analysis most contribution most retrieved from M2 variable. While conventional instrument rated the more stable and able to provide higer valure campared to islamic instruments. The result showed that variable of SBIhave positive significant corelation in long term and has contributions reached 10,1%. PUAB variable showed that have significant in long term by giving contribution of 4,68%. Next in islamic instrument, SBIS significant on long term by providing a contribution amount 1,01%, while PUAS have a significant in long term with contribution reached 25,27%. The results of the analysis most contribution most retrieved from M2 variable.

Safeguards, for costly and hazardous chemical plants, are often provided by means of alarm or automatic shutdown systems. The adequacy of this protection—which is a measure of the capability of the newly installed system in shutting down the plant on the occurrence of a hazardous condition, and its effectiveness over the long term (its reliability)—may be judged by an independent safety assessment. Both qualitative and quantitative aspects of safety analysis are involved in an assessment, the quantitative approach being of particular use where there is a need to compare the anticipated reliability of the proposed system with a numerically specified, reliability requirement. Some of the techniques used in the assessment procedure are discussed in the paper and, by way of example, the performance of a typical shutdown system is assessed and its adequacy judged against a hypothetical plant fault condition.

Abstract The need for efficient management of defense-related resources has become a primary objective for every nation, regardless of whether it belongs to an alliance or not. Current societal challenges generate a series of redrafts of how these resources are managed. Only a quantitative approach to defense resources is no longer a solution, but an integrated medium and long-term approach is an appropriate solution to the new security environment. The risk, as a component of military capabilities management, should be carefully analyzed, localized and treated in order not to jeopardize the effectiveness of the use of defense resources.

The objective ofthis study was to identify nursing students' knowledge about long-term bladder catheterization. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional research with a quantitative approach. An instrument with multiple choice questions was applied to graduates of a university in the interior of São Paulo. The sample consisted of 81 students from the seventh term, most of them female, 20 to 30 years old, night students, singles, family income of 1 to 4 minimum salaries, no training and no experience in the area of nursing. The questions that presented the highest percentage of correct answers were the materials needed for the procedure (93.8%), a step that is not part of the end of the technique (87.7%) and part of the catheterization process (76.5%). It is concluded that most of the students have knowledge about the technique, since in most of the questions more than 50%of the group pointed out the correct alternative.

The development of integrated dairy farm area or “KUNAK” in Cibungbulang is one of the government’s efforts to integrate the scattered farmers in Bogor City because the separated farming system has caused a lot of technical, social and economical problems. The farmers relocation process to KUNAK Cibungbulang was not completely succeed. One of the existing dairy farm who managed to keep their business in the city of Bogor was located in Kebon Pedes. This research aimed to analyse the structure of costs, revenue and income of dairy farm business in KUNAK Cibungbulang and Kebon Pedes. The analysis method that used in this research is descriptive and quantitative approach including analysis of income and R/C Ratio. The result showed that the income of dairy farmers from Kebon Pedes is higher than the farmers from KUNAK Cibungbulang. Dairy farmers at Kebon Pedes have to think about the long term consequence of their business, considering that the farm located on densely populated area. One of the alternative is to relocate the farm to KUNAK Cibungbulang.

This research tested the influence of Islamic Rural Bank promotion cost and training cost towards Islamic Rural Bank profitability in Indonesia. Research variable used promotion cost and training cost which were allocated by Islamic Rural Bank, while profitability used proxy Return on Asset (ROA). This research is explanatory research by using quantitative approach. Sampling technique conducted was quota sampling and it found 4 Islalmic Rural Bank in Indonesia period 2013-2017. Finding indicated that there was no influence promotion cost and training cost towards profitability of Islamic Rural Bank in Indonesia. Regression analysis conducted showed that Islamic Rural Bank could optimize education cost and training cost based on each division of Islamic Rural Bank and maximize promotion cost to introduce product and service in appropriate segment of long term so that each Islamic Rural Bank in Indonesia can present their company's performance to the maximum on the BPRudent Platform
