At hand, be a lot of process to production of leather, such as soaking, liming, degreasing, pickling and tanning process. This makes huge quantity of waste water manufacture from tannery industry. Tannery effluents are additional cause to the environment. An Indian tannery industry generates the tannery effluent regarding 50,000 m3/ day. As a result, treating tannery effluent is the majority chief assignment to save the adjacent area and to get better fresh water. In this exploration the sample from the tanning industry waste water undergo Biological behavior development, typically tanning industry waste water is an effectual within the organichealingprogression. In this learningalongsideby means of the waste matter, the activated slush from Sewage Treatment Plant is additional as a seeding material in the proportion of 95%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, replacein the 500ml serum bottle in addition to closed tightly to keep up Anaerobic situation and evaluate their biogas production day by day. The 60% activated sludge and the 40% tannery waste waters Mixture gave the high yield of biogas and degraded the macrobiotic contaminants efficiently. From this study, it is observed that activated Sludge is use as seeding materials to biodegrade the natural pollutant at hand in the tannery waste water.

Sludges are byproducts of sewage treatment process. Land application of sewage sludge is one of the final steps of waste water treatment, but solubilization of toxic metals restricts this method of sludge disposal. In our paper cobalt, zinc, cadmium and cesium sorption by suspension of non-treated activated sewage sludge (14 g/dm3, dry wt.) from waste water spiked with 60CoCl2, 65ZnCl2, 109CdCl2 or 137CsCl were determined in laboratory experiments at 20°C. Activated sludge supplied by the municipal sewage treatment plant in Zeleneč (Trnava region, Slovakia) showed high efficiency to sorb Co2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Cs+ ions from waste water pH 6-7. The process can be characterized by the concentration equilibrium (Csolid/Cliquid) typical for sorption processes. Efficiency of the sorption increased in the order Cs < Co < Zn < Cd. Metal sorption process was not inhibited by pretreatment of the sludge with 0.2% formaldehyde or thermal inactivation at 60°C, what confirms that the process was not dependent on metabolic activity of the sludge. Cobalt, zinc, cadmium and cesium were easily removable from the sludge by washing with diluted HCl, EDTA or water solutions of the corresponding metal ions, but with low efficiency by deionized water.

An investigation was conducted to assess the concentration of heavy metals from waste water of tannery industry located at Hazaribagh area, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The total contents of Cr, Ca, Na, Zn, Hg, Mn and Ni were determined using Atomic Adsorption Spectroscopy (AAS) method which were followed by a wet ashing Digestion process. Average concentration of those heavy metals obtained from different operational section of Samina tannery industry were found 416.89, 628.03, 235.78, 3.912, 0.054, 20.952 and 3.106 mg/l for Cr, Ca, Na, Zn, Hg, Mn and Ni respectively. As recommended by the World Health Organization, the level of those heavy metals in the tannery effluent from different sections have been found highly contaminated and not suitable for irrigation purpose and harmful for environment.       Note: The pdf full paper of this article will be uploaded soon.

The effect of leaf extracts of Moringa oleifera and Azadirachta indica using ethanol as solvent on tannery waste water treatment was investigated for a period of five days and their phytochemical constituents were analyzed. All the extracts were found to be efficient in the clarification and sedimentation of total solids in the tannery waste water sample. On the 5th day, sample treated with 10 ml of extract showed higher reduction of electrical conductivity, pH, chloride, sulfate along with dissolved oxygen. The significant reduction of these pollution indicating parameters of the tannery effluent indicated its high applicability to treat the tannery wastes along with other waste water treatment in near future. Generally, wastewater of nata de coco industry contains suspended solids and COD were high, ranging from 90,000 mg / l. The high level of of the wastewater pollutants, resulting in nata de coco industry can not be directly disposed of its wastewater into the environment agency. Appropriate technology required in order to process the waste water so that the treated water can meet the environmental quality standards that are allowed. Designing the waste water treatment plant that is suitable and efficient for treating industrial wastewater nata de coco is the activated sludge process. Wastewater treatment using activated sludge process of conventional (standard) generally consists of initial sedimentation, aeration and final sedimentation.Keywords : Activated Sludge, Design, IPAL

Hybrid Activated Sludge Process (HASP) with IMET was developed and applied to an activated sludge process for the advanced nutrient treatment in Korea. The characteristics of nitrogen removal from the HASP were investigated through a kinetic study by batch-type experiment. Online DB analysis produced from the IMET was conducted for the nutrient removal performance in the field demonstration plant treating 10,000 m3/day in G city of Korea. In this paper, we aimed to determine the effect of increasing NHM4+-N load on the specific nitrification rate (SNR) and the specific denitrification rate (SDNR) through a batch-type experiment, and to estimate the net reaction time for the phase-transfer rate using online DB analysis in the HASP operation. Experimental results include: (1) both the nitrification and denitrification followed first-order kinetics; (2) the maximum SNR and SDNR were 4.0301 mgN/gVSS·hr and 2.785 mgN/gVSS·hr, respectively; (3) comparison of reaction rates between nitrification and denitrification from the non-linear regression analysis found that nitrification rate was higher than denitrification.

The authors have been developing a hierarchical control system for the activated sludge process which consists of an upper level system controlling long-term seasonal variations, a control system of intermediate level aiming at optimization of the process and a control system of lower level controlling diurnal changes or hourly fluctuations. The control system using the multi-variable statistical model is one of the most appropriate control systems based on the modern control theory, for applying the lower level control of the activated sludge process. This paper introduces our efforts for developing the reliable data acquisition system, the control experiments applying the AR-model, one of the statistical models which were conducted at a pilot plant and present studies on the system identification and control at a field sewage treatment plant.
