After leaving university with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, many graduates join construction companies in key roles such as operations engineer or project manager. Junior engineers often acquire the knowledge they need through mentorship by experienced engineers. Their knowledge is acquired on-the-job, according to the requirements of whatever projects are underway when they begin their employment. This study introduces the required areas of knowledge, with the goal of integrating junior engineers efficiently and effectively into the construction industry. The study found that the knowledge acquired by a graduate with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering does not match the knowledge required for engineers working in management and operations roles. In addition, the process of learning and filling in knowledge gaps often takes place on-the-job, or immediately before beginning a new project, without any external monitoring of the content or quality of the knowledge acquired. Although the various topics were defined by the engineers as important to their work, the findings indicate that both experienced engineers and young engineers need to fill in their knowledge gaps in critical various fields. This study highlights the need to build a comprehensive, standardized training program for all young engineers entering the workforce in construction management in order to fill in the knowledge gap and provide them with the tools to integrate properly in construction companies.

Revolutionary changes in society are linked to digital technologies and affect all areas of social life, not excluding construction industry. This requires not only knowledge reform, but above all skills reform. The current demand of practice is to increase the knowledge and competences of graduates of civil engineering faculties in the field of introduction and use of digital technologies in the process of planning, implementation, and maintenance of buildings, as well as to support the skills development of civil engineers in teamwork while using BIM technologies. The presented, currently implemented project contributes to meeting the above-described Practice Needs. The expected direct impact of the project is to increase the competitiveness, employability, and quality of life of graduates entering practice.

The tasks performed by a project manager are of special importance to the well being and economic prosperity of construction companies. This paper is aiming at defining the Greek project managers' dominant cognitive abilities, personality characteristics, skills and knowledge. An effort is made to identify available attributes associated with successful management performance and career development. The survey was conducted based on a structured questionnaire. The effort led to 102 responses, originating from engineers and construction professionals, throughout the Greek Construction Industry, including Public-Work Authorities. The questionnaire was based on international management literature and interviews. The study discusses the results of the survey and provides a comparison with those attributes identified in the international literature and correlates the participants' profile with their responses.

Quality of communication is a key factor in the success of construction projects. Visualization technologies can play an important role in improving the quality of data by improving human comprehension and increasing the depth of the information delivered. Visualization has for some time been identified as one of the major technology themes allowing development of construction processes. However, visualization has not been embraced as a strategic tool by construction companies, and they generally fail to take full advantage of available visualization tools. This paper aims to evaluate the extent of visualization as a communication tool in the construction industry and to determine potential benefits to be gained through implementation of visualization. The current state of the use of visualization for communication in Turkish architecture, engineering, and construction companies is mapped through surveys and interviews. Information flow contents and types are analysed to determine the types of information in the construction process that may benefit from visual representation. According to the priorities of the expectations ranked by the users and the potential of different visualization tools, the level of visualization required for each data flow is determined by a quality function deployment (QFD) based approach.Key words: visualization, construction, visual communication, quality.

The application of BIM Technology in civil engineering construction is one of the important trends of the innovation and development of the current construction market and the realization of efficient construction. Through the application of BIM Technology in civil engineering, the whole process of engineering construction can be monitored and managed, the whole civil engineering construction level can be improved, and the quality of engineering construction can be met. In this paper, through the application of BIM Technology in the construction management of construction engineering, the information technology means, visual characteristics and dynamic mode strengthening project management model based on itself are studied. In this paper, through the three-dimensional technical means to build the model, strengthen the systematic supervision of the construction project. The experimental results show that the model can better guarantee the construction completion on schedule, improve the construction quality and reduce the construction cost.

Our country's construction industry has rapidly accomplished quantitative growth in short period of time through Middle Eastern construction market in 1970's, the construction market of Southeast Asia in 1980's, and prosperity in domestic construction market including two million housing construction and the building of new city, etc. However, construction companies have followed the technology from advanced countries upon concentrating on quantitative growth, while they have disregarded qualitative growth for the 21st century such as research on construction skill, construction development, and overall management in construction, etc.

With the development of our country's economy and society, the level of science and technology is constantly improving, and the construction industry is also booming. The construction technology has greatly affected the quality of civil engineering. Due to the rapid development of social economy, people's economic level and living standards have greatly improved. Therefore, people's requirements for the quality of civil engineering are getting higher and higher. Therefore, the construction company must continuously improve and innovate the civil engineering construction technology, and improve the quality of the construction project to meet the social needs.

The article indicates that a role and tasks of particular participants of construction projects vary depending on the phase of construction production. The influence of individual entities on the quality of construction production is also diversified. The results of the questionnaire survey conducted among 64 employees of construction companies involved in the implementation of construction projects were presented. They show the opinions of respondents representing the construction industry about a role of participants of the construction process in maintaining the proper quality of construction works. Their impact on the compliance of construction processes with applicable legal regulations was emphasized. The declarations may cover PN/EN standards, Polish construction law, technical specification of performance and acceptance of construction works and other formal and legal requirements and construction production standards.

With the continuous advancement of China's urbanization process, the demand for construction projects is increasing, which is both an opportunity and a challenge for construction companies. If the enterprises themselves can grasp the background and policy conditions to maintain a high level of construction engineering, then its enterprise benefits and future development prospects will be excellent. However, there are also many companies whose own reputation and actual benefits have been affected for poor engineering quality caused by poor construction management. This is exactly what we must pay attention to. This article will analyse and explore the relevant work to improve the engineering quality of different phases of engineering construction and to guide the management of the construction unit in the future from the perspective of the construction unit to strengthen the project quality supervision.
