Data, reports, and information show that cryptocurrency has supported certain parties as a convenience, whereas the purpose of cryptocurrency is to minimize the weaknesses of conventional money systems in international relations in the current era of globalization. Countries that cannot represent or apply autonomous law in facing cryptocurrency challenges, because it is feared it is increasingly difficult to overcome global cryptocurrency crime. It is precisely in eradicating cryptocurrency crime, law enforcement authorities, priorities of prosecutors who have the highest supremacy in the field of prosecution and other discretion in law enforcement must be dynamic in law enforcement against facilitators from responses to social needs and aspirations, in accordance with legal considerations must acknowledge the wishes of the community and agree in achieving substantive justice. Considering that virtual currency has been banned in Indonesia but crypto-asset trading on the futures exchange has been in force, responsive discretionary prosecutions are needed in combating cryptocurrency crime in Indonesia. Liability that exceeds liability based on faults, namely strict liability, vicarious liability, and secondary liability to any parties that cause cryptocurrency crime can be applied to the mechanism of "follow the money" and "trace the information and communication technologies (ICTs) footprint". It is hoped that prosecution discretion by the prosecutor can reach to the monitoring of suspicious "nodes" and monitoring the registration of ICTs that are vulnerable to cryptocurrency crimes, such as laptops, cellphones, computers, and SIM cards, in providing a deterrent effect to the perpetrators of cryptocurrency crime.

There has been a steady rise in the practice and performance of religious activities within the cyberspace since the 1980s. Many pastors have embraced the use of technology in their religious and ministerial practices. However, what would be more critical is to understand how technology, once adopted and operational would assume the function of support and fulfil religious members’ spiritual, emotional and social needs. This paper discusses technology use in religious organizations, particularly during the lockdown period of Covid-19 between March 2020 to the July 2021. The article uses South Africa as a research context to explore technology use and its role to address the challenges of support, space and practice. The paper employed a qualitative interpretive paradigm to source data from six members from different religious organizations in South Africa. Three themes arose from the data: information and communication technologies provide space for religious member to network; information and communication media facilitate religious practice and activities; and information and communication technologies enhance management of resources.

The focus of this chapter is to asses a new model of care in dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). According with sociotechnical approaches, the authors describe a proof of concept, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) intervention, as a technical and organizational model of robust, reliable, and efficient clinical practice to meet the medical, psychological, and social needs of AD people and their family. The authors also propose the “Identification-Recognition-Evaluation-Application Model” as process methodology in a telemedicine project. In this perspective, the technology has to be analyzed as technology-in-use, a process coming out from an ecology of specific actions and actors. Finally, the authors describe their experience of a longitudinal study in which ICT networking technologies are used to implement coping strategies, in order to improve the quality of life of AD families.

Mūsdienu sabiedrības izteikto globalizācijas procesu ietekmē ir vērojama ne tikai strauja moderno tehnoloģiju attīstība, komunikatīvo sistēmu sfēru paplašināšanās, informācijas kā kapitāla lomas pieaugums, brīva un masveidīga cilvēku pārvietošanās pāri robežām un kontinentiem, bet arī sociāli nelabvēlīgo parādību eskalācija: pieaug terorisma akti un to draudi, ierastas kļūst hibrīdkara elementu izpausmes, nostiprinās transnacionālās organizētās noziedzīgās grupas, kuras veido un efektīvi izmanto starptautiskās kriminālā tīkla struktūras. Transnational organised crime is a major threat to global security and can cause significant social and economic damage. Prevention efforts need to be increased in order to encompass this phenomenon. Transnational organised crime benefits from certain legal loopholes, and law enforcement agencies have a difficulty in reacting quickly to criminal businesses which use very sophisticated methods to conceal their activities and the proceeds of their crimes, and take advantage of globalisation and the use of information and communication technologies. Through pyramidal structures, transnational organised crime has evolved to networks of cells with continuously changing partners and even locations. As organised criminals take advantage of the advances in ICTs and become ever defter in their methods, and with law enforcement authorities increasingly in need of additional resources, administrative synergies emerge as a natural and cost-efficient extension of the powers that counter organised crime.

The article is devoted to the problems of the information and communication technologies which are used as cyber tools for committing crimes. Due to the coronavirus and the widespread lockdown, crimes have also moved to online space. The empirical base of cybercrime is analyzed taking into consideration the latest trends caused by the ongoing pandemic. Mostly this category of crimes is latent and quite difficult to investigate. Especially due to the lack of knowledge in the field of informatics, which is constantly being transformed (changed), by investigators and other participants of the pre-trial investigation. Modern scientific and technical tools are needed to detect, collect and fixed electronic traces of cybercrimes. It should be enhance the technical capabilities of forensic laboratories that specialize in the investigation of cybercrimes related to the use of information technology. But there is a problem because of lack of financial support and needness quite expensive equipment for conducting new computer expertise. This requires significant additional funding, which is not fully provided to the police station by the government. Cybercrime is a transnational crime that has no borders. Criminals from different countries can unite and detect such complicity in a timely manner is quite difficult. So it is necessary international cooperation with FBI, Interpol and other organizations, law-enforcement bodies. During the investigation it should be reconstruct the stages of the hacker's growth and return to his the very beginning, when he was not a such professional, but only gaining experience. The complication of identifying criminals is also that they use traditional tools such as Wi-Fi routers and non-traditional ones such as "boto-farms" which are used as cybertools for committing the crime.

The advancement of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) opens new avenues and ways for cybercriminals to commit crime. The primary goal of this paper is to raise awareness regarding gaps that exist with regards to Nigeria’s capabilities to adequately legislate, investigate and prosecute cases of cybercrimes. The major source of cybercrime legislation in Nigeria is an act of the National Assembly which is majorly a symbolic legislation rather than a full and active legislation. In perusing these avenues of inquiry, the authors seek to identify systemic impediments which hinder law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and investigators from properly carrying out their duties as expected.
