The study assessed the Southwestern Nigerian undergraduates’ acceptance of YouTube as a web-based instructional tool using Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) Model. It determined the level of awareness of YouTube as a web-based instructional tool by the undergraduates. It measured the undergraduates’ effort and performance expectancy of YouTube and the conditions that facilitate its acceptance at the universities. The study employed the descriptive survey research design. The population consisted all registered undergraduates in Southwestern Nigeria. 800 students were selected from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Oyo State and Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State using disproportionate stratified sampling. The three universities were purposively selected based on their webometric ranking in terms of ICT usage. Findings from the study indicated that 57.80% of the undergraduates are moderately aware of YouTube as an instructional tool. The effort expectancy (×̅=3.00, sd=0.60) as well as the performance expectancy (×̅=3.00, sd=0.62) show that the undergraduates accept YouTube. The conditions identified by the undergraduates that can militate the acceptance of YouTube in the region included low bandwidth (79.70%), low hard disk space (65.60%), epileptic electricity supply (68.60%) and high cost of required devices (68.40%). Background Diabetes poses heavy social and economic burdens worldwide. Diabetes management apps show great potential for diabetes self-management. However, the adoption of diabetes management apps by diabetes patients is poor. The factors influencing patients’ intention to use these apps are unclear. Understanding the patients’ behavioral intention is necessary to support the development and promotion of diabetes app use. Objective This study aimed to identify the determinants of patients’ intention to use diabetes management apps based on an integrated theoretical model. Methods The hypotheses of our research model were developed based on an extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). From April 20 to May 20, 2019, adult patients with diabetes across China, who were familiar with diabetes management apps, were surveyed using the Web-based survey tool Sojump. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. Results A total of 746 participants who met the inclusion criteria completed the survey. The fitness indices suggested that the collected data fit well with the research model. The model explained 62.6% of the variance in performance expectancy and 57.1% of the variance in behavioral intention. Performance expectancy and social influence had the strongest total effects on behavioral intention (β=0.482; P=.001). Performance expectancy (β=0.482; P=.001), social influence (β=0.223; P=.003), facilitating conditions (β=0.17; P=.006), perceived disease threat (β=0.073; P=.005), and perceived privacy risk (β=–0.073; P=.012) had direct effects on behavioral intention. Additionally, social influence, effort expectancy, and facilitating conditions had indirect effects on behavioral intention that were mediated by performance expectancy. Social influence had the highest indirect effects among the three constructs (β=0.259; P=.001). Conclusions Performance expectancy and social influence are the most important determinants of the intention to use diabetes management apps. Health care technology companies should improve the usefulness of apps and carry out research to provide clinical evidence for the apps’ effectiveness, which will benefit the promotion of these apps. Facilitating conditions and perceived privacy risk also have an impact on behavioral intention. Therefore, it is necessary to improve facilitating conditions and provide solid privacy protection. Our study supports the use of UTAUT in explaining patients’ intention to use diabetes management apps. Context-related determinants should also be taken into consideration.

This study investigates the factors that influencing citizens' intention to use e-government services and its causal relationships using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model (UTAUT). Data relating to the constructs were collected from 150 respondents but only 85 responses were received and subjected to Structural Equation Modeling analysis (SEM). The proposed model fits the data well. The findings reveal that facilitating condition, social influence, attitude, effort expectancy and performance expectancy determine citizens' intention towards e-government services. Additionally, attitude is predicted jointly by effort expectancy and performance expectancy. This study would help government policy decision makers to increase the adoption of e-government services in Tunisia country.

The construction of steel shed for Automobile Service Centre at the Bells University, Sango-Ota, Ogun State, Southwestern Nigeria was deemed necessary in order to expand the existing structure, ensure safety and bring economic gains to the Institution. This paper therefore presents a report of the construction of steel shed at the Automobile Service Centre where activities such as automobile checks, repairs and so on are been carried out. In carrying out the project, the following methods were adopted: evaluation of design/working drawings, selection and fabrication of structural members, construction work and finishing. All methods follow standard procedures as specified in relevant British standards. The assemblage and completed work were the results of the methods mentioned above and it was confirmed that the members were adequate to carry the live and dead loads that they may be subjected to. The aim of the project was achieved.

The following research attempts to investigate the determinants influencing consumers' intention to adopt mobile payment (MP). The research model was adapted based on three constructs from the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT), including performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and facilitating conditions in the research model. In addition, usage experience was also added to the model to test for moderating effect. An online survey conducted through Taiwanese chat rooms resulted in 348 valid responses, which were analyzed using Smart PLS. Results indicated that (1) effort expectancy, performance expectancy, and facilitating conditions were three major factors influencing intention to use mobile payment; (2) facilitating conditions played a significant role in impacting effort expectancy and performance expectancy; (3) usage experience positively moderated the relationship between facilitating conditions and performance expectancy; and (4) usage experience also positively moderated the relationship between facilitating conditions and effort expectancy.

Our survey, in which we adopted the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (Venkatesh, Morris, Davis, & Davis, 2003) revealed that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, and user involvement have a positive effect on the intention to use wikis. The results exemplify the current trend of users playing an increasingly important role in web-based content creation.

This study explored the important role of demographic factors such as gender, age, and education in the adoption of mobile government (m-government) services. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model was used as the theoretical foundation whiles the data was captured and analyzed with SPSS and SmartPLS. The results have demonstrated that gender is a significant predictor of both the intention to use and performance expectancy of m-government services. However, gender does not determine mobile self-efficacy. In addition, age and education were both were significant predictors of performance expectancy, mobile self-efficacy and the intention to use m-government services respectively. The implications of these and other findings of the study are thoroughly discussed.

Today, organizations use digital applications to enhance their HR operations, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many organizations compete to improve business performance as well as having a competitive advantage in their business areas. The business strategic plans depend on business' facts and data that support these plans. HR analytics promises to provide evidence-based initiatives, data-driven decision making, prioritize the impact of HR investments and enhance the business value and performance. This study tries to gain insights into the reasons for not using HR analytics among Saudi HR professionals to enhance business performance and maintain a competitive advantage. It uses the descriptive survey research design. This paper focuses on the individual-level adoption of HR analytics by human resource professionals. The main objective of this paper is to understand the importance of HR analytics and to gain insight into the barriers that affect the full implementation of HR Analytics among Saudi HR professionals. The total population used in this study is 168 HR professionals who work in the Dairy Products Manufacturing Companies in Saudi Arabia. The primary data used in this study collected through the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) questionnaire, which was sent through the work's official email, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn to the target sample. The study finds positive relationships between HR analytics adoption and the other factors. Also, the results show the main barriers that affect the implementation of HR Analytics by Saudi HR Professionals.

This paper examines the adoption of Smartphones in Saudi Arabia. A theoretical research model is developed based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology. A web-based survey has been used to gather data from randomly selected Smartphone users in Saudi Arabia. For data analysis, SEM approach was followed, SPSS and AMOS were utilized for analyzing data. The results indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, brand influence, perceived enjoyment, and design constructs have a positive and significant relationship with users’ behavioral intention to adopt and use Smartphones in Saudi Arabia.
