Abstract The strategic decisions defining the defence capabilities that are necessary for our country in response to the dynamic changes in the security environment are directly related to the question “How much?” concerning the price that taxpayers should pay for the creation and development of those capabilities. Since security and defense constitute a public good whose creation is entirely dependent on the economic potential, on the GDP of the country, the manifestation of the price of that good is the budget of the Defence Ministry. This calls for the implementation of a system and tools, appropriate for budget resource management in order to ensure the increase of the added value of defence capabilities.

Production is an activity to convert inputs into outputs through the transformation process. Input in the form of man, money, method, material, machine. While the output is in the form of goods or services. The purpose of production in general is to meet individual needs. There are several factors that influence production namely land and all economic potential that is processed and cannot be separated from the production process, labor is directly related to the demands of property rights through production, and capital, management and technology. In production there are various types of production, namely production which is intermittent and continuous. The production, if viewed from an Islamic perspective, it must fulfill the following principles. First, produce in a halal circle. Second, managing natural resources in production is interpreted as the process of creating wealth by utilizing natural resources must rely on the vision of the creation of this nature and along with the vision of human creation, namely as a blessing for all nature. Third, the Caliph on the earth is not only based on the activity of producing the usefulness of an item but work is done with the motive of benefiting to seek the pleasure of Allah SWT. Background: Innovation can result from progressive or significant changes to existing products leading to improvements in performance and user value. This is the type of innovation that is more easily perceived by the consumer, as it results in the creation of new products or the improvement of existing ones. Innovation in the Crafts Sector is a relevant topic to address market changes, and meet evolving consumer preferences. In this vein, artisans need to meet the calls for regularly investing in the design of new products and processes, with the purpose of achieving the sustainability of their business. Methods: This article addresses the existing calls for contextualizing the crafts sector and for fostering product innovation in this area, by investigating the barriers and problems faced by artisans, as well as by exploring existing experiences in overcoming them. The article builds on data collected in five European countries, under the scope of the Erasmus+ Project Craftsmanship+ “Fostering a New and Competitive Approach to Crafts and Semi Industrial high added-value sectors”1. Results and Conclusion: The aim is to analyze the importance of the crafts sector in a European context. This article contributes in a timely manner to the understanding of the crafts sector by paying attention to the obstacles that artisans face in order to ensure the sustainability of their business by introducing product innovation into their organization and/or market. This study offers a collection of innovation experiences in realities that are very significant for territorial identity, and thus aims to provide an incentive for further research.

Municipal authorities increasingly view environmental protection as one of the goals of city management. The pro-environmental orientation of cities can, therefore, foster the creation of new management methods and instruments and promote reorganization of determining material flows in a municipal system. Activities of this kind should result not only in the reduction of generated waste but also in the creation of closed material cycles. Considering the tasks of Polish local governments, municipalities should pay the most attention to municipal waste. Accordingly, the goal of this study was to identify the problem of mixed municipal waste in cities and assess the influence of investments into fixed assets for environmental protection in the scope of waste management on the quantity of mixed municipal waste in cities. This article also identifies activities for circular resource management that need to be realized by Polish municipalities. The analysis was performed using the panel model, dynamic indexes, and critical analysis of city documents. The conducted research revealed positive trends in cities with respect to the amount of waste collected non-selectively that is conducive to circular resource management. The fact that municipal waste quantity is on the increase should encourage urban authorities to promote pro-environmental waste management behaviors among city dwellers.

Earlier in the year Context launched Link Studio, an e-publishing program that automates the creation of hypertext links within documents. It eliminates the need for manual editing. The program can identify bibliographic citations, named entities (e.g. companies, organisations) and pre-defined words and phrases, interprets the varying ways in which such data can be presented and uses the resulting information to locate the cited document. It then automatically converts the reference into a link to it. This can lead to much faster link creation within documents. It may be useful for users who have neither the time nor the inclination to increase the utility of documents by engaging in laborious manual editing and creation of links. Where information sharing, resource management and easy navigation between sources (using intranets, for example) is crucial such programs may be valuable. Purpose According to Christopher (2000), in a lot of sectors, the competition is a question of supply chain against supply chain. The winner in term of competitive advantage should be the one, who is able to obtain more than the competitor from the available resources. In strategic literature, Dyer and Singh (1998) are the first who introduced the concept of “relational competency” to explain why some companies gain their competitive advantage not directly from their internal resources but mainly because they are able better to combine external resources. Design/methodology/approach This paper is a case study. Findings The author describes the different phases and strategic decisions in the building of a real supplier eco-system. Research limitations/implications It is a sole case study. Practical implications This study is a description of a success story. Originality/value This study is a description of an external resource management in action.

Technological innovation in local food products is absolutely necessary, by creating the added value in such a way as local products so that the products produced have more or at least the same value as local products. The result of the creation of local products, Copasme able to meet the growing demands of global consumers, namely in addition to demanding aspects of pleasure, the enjoyment of local products, consumers still want aspects of health and safety. Copasme is one of the alternative drink sachets developed in Palangkaraya City. From the analysis of copasme sachet business during one period (per month) it is known that (1) production cost is IDR. 6,472,000.00 (2) revenue of IDR. 21,600,000.00, (3) Net income / profit of IDR. 15,128,000.00 (4) Efficiency of 3.3. This shows that the sachet copas business is efficient or feasible.

<p>This paper intends to show, that the current<br />marginalization of domestic labour runs in the<br />detriment of both the workers and the needs<br />of the labour market. It is strongly contested<br />whether domestic labour in its current form<br />can meet the demands of a fl exible and<br />economic and social environment. At the<br />core of discussions on new, fl exible forms<br />of organization of labour one usually fi nds<br />economic sectors involving high skills and<br />added value. However, the diffusion of fl exible<br />employment schemes is related not only with<br />more high skill jobs in the labour market<br />but also with the creation of infrastructures<br />and niches able to support them. In this<br />context, a pathway towards the viability of<br />the marginalized niche of domestic labour<br />is discussed. Key position in this venture<br />is that the devaluation of domestic labour<br />is the product of a social – and therefore<br />manageable and reversible – process.</p>

The aim of this article is to contribute to the understanding of the possibilities of application of selected pricing strategies in the conditions of the creative industries in Slovakia. A creative product has interesting economic aspects, which are conditioned by its specific parameters. The economic potential of a creative product is a way of returning the investment in its creation, as well as a way of generating profit. In this case, the economic potential is the set of economic utility – uniqueness, intellect, knowledge, talent and skills added by each participant in the process of product creation. These characteristics make the products of the creative industries fundamentally different from those of traditional manufacturing. The added value of a creative industry product is not determined by the amount of work invested in its creation, but by the subjective perception of consumers, insofar as its consumption satisfies their personal needs. Pricing in creative industry enterprises results from a number of factors that determine the strategic direction of the enterprise and its output. This fact in turn influences the strategy of conceiving and creating individual prices. These play an important role in the strategic marketing of creative industry enterprises, despite their specificities (zero price or free entry, voluntary, list-based). It should be noted that prices are set differently in the non-profit sector and in the for-profit sectors producing in the creative industries. This means that in terms of the marketing mix of each tool, the pricing functions need to be taken into account.
