In an age-appropriate remote learning activity developed by a researcher-teacher team, junior high school students learned about the link between human health and food safety. The students were introduced to basic concepts about the innate immune system and food safety through a learning activity that focused on peanut allergens in food products. The students (a) learned how to distinguish between the concepts of immunity and allergy; (b) learned about cross-contamination and the link between allergies and food safety; (c) learned what antibodies are and how they can be used for science; (d) applied basic knowledge about the immune system and food safety to screen for peanut residues in suspect non-peanut food products using a commercial test kit; and (e) applied basic knowledge about the immune system and food safety to create individual poster presentations on other types of allergies, such as soy or dairy allergies.

The government has set 2013 curriculum as learning curriculum to replace previous curriculum in order to improve education in Indonesia. This article is aimed to increase education quality in Arabic learning and to create qualified education in very aspect. This research shows that: 1) the implementation of scientific approach in Arabic learning in MAN Lab UIN Yogyakarta has run well based on the steps of scientific approach i.e. observing, questioning, gathering information or experiment, associating, and communicating. 2) the advantages of implementation of the scientific approach in Arabic learning are: learning activity can be implemented smoothly, the use of various learning media and adequate learning sources help student to learn actively. While the disadvantage of implementation is when this approach is implemented in a class that consists of students from various background inputs especially from SMP (Junior High School) students in which they do not have Arabic basis. So that if the learning centered on students, it can not be run well and the input result will be different.

AbstractMost junior high school students consider that math is a difficult subject to learn and bore. One reason is that mathematics is abstract and the choice of less precise learning method. It is a challenge for math teachers to be able to use instructional media that can involve students actively learning math, so that students feel happy learning math. The purpose of this classroom action research is to find out whether the use of DOMAT game media can improve the learning activity of grade IX-A students of SMP Negeri 2 Tarogong Kidul. The results of this study is that in cycle I has not shown the achievement of the established success indicators, ie the number of active students sebanya 75% (27 people). That is, the implementation of the action in the first cycle has not been successful and should proceed to the next cycle with the improvement of the action considered to be the cause of the unsuccessfulness. In the second cycle has shown the achievement of a predetermined success indicator, ie the number of students who are active at each meeting 75%. That is, the implementation of action in cycle II has been successful. Thus it can be concluded that the use of domat game media is one way or strategy to increase student activity in learning mathematics.Keyword: Learning Activities, Domino Mathematics.

This study aims to produce a science learning device for junior high school students using a cooperative model type Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) for students with special needs that are valid and fit for use theoretically. The research method used is the development of the 4D model design through 4 stages including the defining stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. The technique of collecting data through validation sheets consists of lecturers, science teachers, school principals, and students. Based on the research results, the validity of the equipment was obtained through the Aiken V index in the RPP of 0.89, LKPD of 0.88, and THB of 0.88. The three components of the device are considered very valid criteria. The reliability test of each component for RPP is 0.818, LKPD is worth. 0.857, and THB worth 0.884. The components of learning equipment are reliable with good categories based on the Interrater Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Theoretically, the learning tools developed are valid and feasible to be tested in class VIII of the Gorontalo City Learning Activity Center (SKB).
