The purpose of this study was to increase students’ understanding of the food security concept. The experimental method was being applied in this research. Moreover, research subjects were divided into two groups, one as an experimental group and another as a control group. The subjects of this study were 100 students at the Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Fifty students are guided under Augmented Reality based blended learning system as the experimental group. Another class of 50 students is on the control group, which studies with the conventional blended learning approach. The experimental class obtained 73% of the N-gain result, while control class obtained 50%. Therefore, it can be concluded that using augmented reality can improve the students’ understanding of the food security concept.

This study examined the effectiveness of a Green Food and Beverage (GFB) blended learning approach. A quasi-experimental research design was employed to verify the learning outcomes of implementing the GFB blended learning. Junior hospitality students were the research subjects. The experimental group participated in an 18-week GFB blended learning course, while the control group experienced traditional teaching. A total of 99 valid subjects were recruited. Statistical analyses were used to examine whether the participants of two groups had different green food literacy, transformative abilities, unit learning achievements, and learning experiences. The results confirmed that the blended learning course was more suitable for capturing students' attention and satisfying them through the course learning and could promote students' green food knowledge, green food responsibility, commitment to green food, and civic green food behavior. It could also enhance the psychological empowerment of students related to green food practices and problem solving to ensure food sustainability.

Blended learning approach has become an emerging trend in the field of education and has caught the attention and interest of many researchers as a new approach to encourage students in their learning process. The present study aimed at examining the effectiveness of blended learning in improving Saudi EFL students’ English paragraph writing at Shaqra University. The sample of the study consists of 70 EFL students at Shaqra University. The experiment was conducted for six weeks (2018). A pre-test and post-paragraph writing test was used to measure the effectiveness of the blended learning in enhancing paragraph writing skills. Results showed that there were significant differences in the mean scores of the control group (traditional teaching mode) and the experimental group (blended learning) in favor of the experimental group. This proved the effectiveness of blended learning approach in developing Saudi students’ competence in paragraph writing.

Marine knowledge is such an important part of education that it has been integrated into various subjects and courses across educational levels. Previous research has indicated the importance of AR assisted students’ learning during the learning process. This study proposed the AR Oyster Learning System (AROLS) that integrates mobile AR with a marine education teaching strategy for teachers in primary schools. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, an experiment was conducted in a primary school natural science course regarding oysters. The participants consisted of 22 fourth-grade students. The experimental group comprised 11 students who learned with the AROLS learning approach and the control group comprised 11 students who learned with the conventional multimedia learning approach. The results indicate that (1) students were interested in the AR learning approach, (2) students’ learning achievement and motivation were improved by the AR learning approach, (3) students acquired the target knowledge through the oyster course, and (4) students learned the importance of sustainability when taking online courses at home during the pandemic.

This study investigated the effect of a blended learning approach (BLA) on the main English language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) when learning English as a foreign language (EFL) in Iraq. In order to reveal the effectiveness of the approach, an experiment was carried out involving 40 participants who were divided into two groups: experimental and control. The experimental group was taught using a BLA whereas the control group was instructed with a traditional approach to teach English. The experiment was conducted during a semester (three months) in which two classes of English were taught every week. According to the results of the study, the BLA had a dramatic effect on improving the main skills of the EFL participants

Empowering new generations with technology through employing blended learning approach to teach English as a Foreign Language has been recently investigated by many researchers in various contexts. This mixed-methods study aimed at examining the effects of the blended learning approach on Jordanian EFL learners’ grammar performance. The study also aimed at investigating the attitudes of Jordanian EFL learners toward blended learning. To achieve the objectives of the study, it employed a quasi-experimental design (pre and posttests) followed by qualitative interviews. The participants were divided into two groups: experimental and control groups. Among the 28 students in the sample, those in the experimental blended learning group (n=13) were taught using Moodle while those in the control group (n=15) were taught using conventional methods. All the 13 participants in the experimental group were interviewed. The results of the posttest revealed that students in the experimental group outperformed students in the control group. Furthermore, the qualitative analysis results showed that blended learning had a positive impact on the learners’ English grammar performance and that they were strongly satisfied and motivated to learn English using similar methods. It is concluded that blended learning could be used as an effective method of teaching English grammar in EFL settings. It is hoped that these results will help the university, faculty, and students to develop the skills necessary for blended learning.

<p class="3">With the advances in mobile network technology, the use of portable devices and mobile networks for learning is not limited by time and space. Such use, in combination with appropriate learning strategies, can achieve a better effect. Despite the effectiveness of mobile learning, students’ learning direction, progress, and achievement may differ. Thus, the enhancement of learners’ opinions on the usability and interactivity during mobile learning are challenging issues to overcome. This study developed a sharing mind map-oriented mobile learning system integrated with valuable information preserved in a digital archiving system. In addition to the functions of traditional mind maps, this system also enabled students to complete and record relevant information that they had found onto the mind map and further improve the integrity of their own knowledge. To investigate the effectiveness of this teaching approach, this study added digital archive data and used mind map sharing to help learners develop knowledge.  By using the proposed approach, students were able to perform self-assessment on learning content, choose appropriate learning directions, and progress according to their level of learning. At the same time, they could collaboratively learn with peers to engage themselves more deeply in their learning. That is, their learning motivation could be constantly triggered through the observations and sharing of mind maps from one to another. This study selected sixth graders as its research subjects in two classes at the school where one researcher works. There were 31 and 30 valid samples in the experimental group and control group, respectively, with a total of 61 students. The experimental group was conducted by using sharing mind map with corresponding geographical archived information to investigate the effectiveness of sharing mind map (SMM) in mobile learning; on the other hand, the control group was conducted by using a traditional learning approach. The outcomes indicate that students’ learning performance could be enhanced by using archived information SMM mobile learning.</p>

In automotive learning, teachers generally use books and teaching aids as learning media. Automotive learning outcomes show the low value of learning outcomes. Thus a learning media is needed that can help improve learning outcomes. One way to overcome this problem is to use learning media that utilize augmented reality technology. In this study, a learning media using augmented reality technology based on android was developed to simulate the brake system on four-wheeled vehicles in 3 dimensions. The Augmented Reality work system used is marker based tracking, and uses 3D Max software and the Vuforia plug-in. In terms of pedagogy, this learning system uses the Modality Principle. Participants are class XI students of SMK YPM 4 Taman. This research uses experimental research. The students involved were 44 students divided into 2 groups, with each group consisting of 22 students. Both groups received a pre-test and a post-test. The experimental group was given treatment with Augmented Reality-based learning media, while the control group did not use conventional learning media. After making comparisons, the results show less than optimal due to the pandemic period. The results showed that the pre-test result between the control group and the experimental group was 49.32, and the post-test result for the control group was 62.73, while for the experimental group it was 73.18. So that from the difference in the difference in post-test scores between the experimental group and the control group shows that the treatment factor by providing Augmented Reality-based learning media in the experimental group has an influence. From observations and interviews, students were more active in learning activities and students were eager to take part in learning. This proves that students are interested in this media which can generate motivation to learn.

The success of the flipped learning approach is directly related to the preparation process through the online learning environment. It is clear that the desired level of academic achievement cannot be reached if the students come to class without completing their assignments. In this study, we investigated the effect of the use of gamification in the online environment of flipped learning to determine whether it will increase interaction data, participation, and achievement. We used a mixed-methods sequential explanatory design, which implies collecting and analyzing quantitative and then qualitative data. In the online learning environment of the experimental group, we used the gamification. However, participants in the control group could not access the game components. According to the findings, the experimental group had higher scores in terms of interaction data, participation, and achievement compared with the control group. Students with low participation can be encouraged to do online activities with gamification techniques.

The blended learning approach utilizes modern technologies and electronic media in teaching to create a technology-based environment. However, it is not an exclusive online environment because the teacher and the students have to be present in a traditional face-to-face classroom. It is widely believed that adopting a blended learning approach will enable learners to have quality educational opportunities and improve their performance. The incentive for conducting the research is to evaluate the effect of the blended learning approach on high school students’ English proficiency. Specifically, the study aimed at answering the question: is there a significant difference in the Twelfth-Grade students’ English language proficiency as measured by IELTS due to the model of delivery (Blended learning model and the traditional delivery model)? To achieve the study’s goal, the researcher applied the experimental method and used IELTS to measure language proficiency. The study sample selected purposively consisted of 63 male twelfth-grade students in one of the private schools in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The study sample was assigned to two groups: the experimental group taught using blended learning consisted of 31 students, and the control group led by the traditional method consisted of 32 students. The results showed statistically significant differences at the level of (a&lt;0.01) between the means of the results of the two groups on the post achievement test in favor of the experimental group. These results illustrated the impact of adopting the blended learning approach in an English Foreign Language (EFL) setting on students’ achievement in standardized tests. However, the successful implementation of blended learning largely depends on how responsible and committed students are towards active learning.

This study aimed at examining the effect of Instructional software for earth and environmental subject on Increasing achievements of ninth grade students at king Abdullah the II for excellence school in Irbid. In order to achieve the objective of the study، The researcher adopted the experimental method، and prepared instructional software and achievement test، the subjects of the study consisted of (53) ninth basic graders، (27) males، (26) female. The subjects were randomly distributed into two groups، (26) of them in the experimental group taught by the instructional software، and (27) in the control group taught by the conventional method. The results of the study indicated that there were statistical significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) due to the teaching method، the mean value for control group is (20.44)، while the mean value for experimental group is (23.19)، in the favor of the experimental group subjects taught by the instructional software، and there were no statistical significant differences due to the gender or to the interaction between the gender and teaching method. The study suggested a number of recommendation and implications in order to increase students achievement in earth & environmental subjects and all curriculums.
