Physical preparation of volleyball player is one of the factors the efficiency of the team, group and individual technical-tactical actions are dependent on. Nevertheless of the level of technical preparation of a competitor, he could hardly reach success, if he doesn’t have good and versatile physical preparation. Volleyball becomes more and more athletic game – saturated with great number of single combats at the net, jumps, movements and etc., and that is why, the good speed-force preparation is an obligatory quality of the professional volleyball player. At the base of the efficient execution of the technical elements of the game are the coordination capabilities. According to a number of authors, an important peculiarity of the sports, characterizing with a complex manifestation of motor qualities, the volleyball being one of them, is that the special physical preparation is realized basing the special force preparation, requiring a complex development of explosive force, speed-force (jump) endurance, force dexterity and etc. The aim of this investigation is to increase the efficiency of the work for development of the special force in volleyball, through establishment of the variability of its main indications with young female volleyball players in the age limit 15-17 years.

The modern level of development of volleyball demands high-quality approach to physical fitness of the player. The efficiency of educational and training process and effectiveness of game activity of the volleyball player depends on his overall, technical and tactical and psychological physical conditioning. There is no effective technique considering specific features of players when training college teams now. During the main training time of the training process, much attention is paid to the technical and tactical actions of the player. For general and special physical training of volleyball players special conditions and additional training time are necessary. The lack of such conditions in most student volleyball teams significantly reduces the game result as a whole. In search of a way out of the current problem, we have developed a method of education of physical capable taking into account the peculiarities of game actions of volleyball players. On the basis of the individual approach, and taking into account the training conditions of the male team of OGU, a program of general and special physical training was drawn up for each volleyball player, depending on his playing function on the site. At the final stage of our experiment, the player 's physical and special-physical preparedness rates increased markedly. The level of endurance of anaerobic character, jump endurance, high-speed endurance of attacking players, “libero,” defenders increased by 30%. The level of speed and speed-force abilities of volleyball players with different game role increased from 25–37 %. The obtained data of the study showed that the use of the technique developed by us of physical preparation of volleyball player significantly improved physical preparation of each player with different roles, and performance of the team as a whole.Key words: volleyball, physical fitness, player role.

The diagnosis of neck pain is challenging. Many visceral disorders are known to cause it, and clinical practice guidelines recommend to rule them out during neck pain diagnosis. However, the absence of suspicion of any cause impedes one from establishing that specific aetiology as the final diagnosis. To investigate the degree of consideration given to visceral aetiology, a systematic search of trials about neck pain was carried out to evaluate their selection criteria. The search yielded 309 eligible articles, which were screened by two independent reviewers. The PEDro scale score was used to assess the methodological quality of the studies. The following information was retrieved: number of authors affiliated to a clinical or non-clinical institution, number of citations in the Web of Science, study aims, characteristics of participants, and eligibility criteria. The top 15 most cited trials, and the 15 most recent studies about treatment efficacy in neck pain, published in first quartile journals of the Journal Citation Reports, were selected. Females represented 67.5% of participants. A single study was of poor methodological quality (4/10). Based on the eligibility criteria of the articles that were systematically reviewed, it would appear that visceral aetiology was not considered in eighty percent of the trials on neck pain, showing a low level of suspicion both in research and clinical settings.

Although Hyper-IgE Syndrome (HIES) is a rare immunodeficiency disorder, presenting symptoms may be as common as lung and skin infections. Symptoms are usually nonspecific such as recurrent abscesses, folliculitis, and pneumonias along with skeletal abnormalities. Careful history of susceptibility to skin and lung infections, thorough family history, and findings on physical exam can guide towards the diagnosis of this often-eluded condition. Early optimization of therapy with prophylactic antibiotics can prevent recurrent infections and future complications and improve quality of life and longevity of survival. We present a case of a young female with Hyper-IgE Syndrome with a novel mutation in STAT 3 gene who initially presented with long standing history of intractable skin abscesses being managed as Hidradenitis Suppurativa.

Purpose: The main goal of this study is to determine possible differences in the range and quality of movement between senior male and female volleyball players of HAOK Mladost. Methods: Respondents, all right-handed and healthy, were members of the senior volleyball team of HAOK Mladost (female n=24, male n=17). The testing was conducted during the transition period, between the first and second competition period. We used seven tests, all part of standard FMS protocol: Deep Squat (DS), Hurdle Step (HS), In-Line Lunge (ILL), Shoulder Mobility (SM), Active Straight Leg Raise (ASLR), Trunk Stability Push-up (TSPU), Rotary Stability (RS), with 12 measured variables (left and right side for five bilateral tests plus DS and TSPU). Educated staff at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb con-ducted the testing. The examination of significance of the differences between senior male and female volleyball players was conducted by using the nonparametric Mann-Whitney U test. Results: Statistical analysis showed significant difference in three tests: In – Line Lunge Left (ILLL), z= -2,11, p=0,03, with moderate effect size (r=0.33), Active Straight Leg Raise Left (ASLRL), z= -2,58, p=0,01, with moderate to strong effect size (r=0.4) and Stability Push-up (TSPU) z= -3,68, p=0,00, with strong effect size (r=0.58). Conclusion: Statistically significant difference was determined in the range and quality of movement in three measured variables. Male volleyball players achieved better results in two tests: In-Line Lunge Left (ILLL) and Stability Push-up (TSPU). That addresses to a higher ability to keep the balance during lunges (reaction on short balls during reception or defence phase of the game) and considerably higher ability to maintain the stability of the trunk in the transfer of force from the upper extremities to the lower (during block) and vice versa (during spike). It is interesting to note that female volleyball players achieved a significantly better rating in the Active Straight Leg Raise Left (ASLRL) test, suggesting a better flexibility of the left hamstrings and better right hip mobility which enables higher capacity in performing el-ements which require extension, which include almost all volleyball elements (hitting, serve receive and transition into offense, defence and transition into counterattack and blocking, smashing and jump serve).

Volleyball-one of the team games, where muscle work is mostly presented by speed-power and coordination. Speed-strength training of volleyball players is solved by means of specialization and individualization of preparation methods, optimization of correlation physical and technical training, taking into account age features, a condition and preparedness of volleyball players that causes need of carrying out additional researches. The purpose of the study: to develop and test in practice the effectiveness of development methods of speed-strength abilities of volleyball players volleyball club “Tambov” in the preparation period. The following tasks are to be solved: 1) to determine the tests to assess of volleyball players speed-strength abilities; 2) to work out a methodology for the development of speed-strength abilities of volleyball players in the preparation period; 3) to test experimentally the effectiveness of the developed technique. Re-search methods: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical literature; pedagogical observations; testing of speed-power abilities (control tests); pedagogical experiment; mathemati-cal and statistical methods of information processing. Analysis of the experiment results allowed to establish an increase in the speed-strength abilities, reflecting the height of the jump – by 12 %; in indicators, reflecting the speed of movement – by 2 %; in indicators, reflecting the explosive force – by 8 %.

Collaboration becomes trend in scientific publication for last decade. Many previous studies showed that collaboration had impact on quality of publication in terms of citation impact. This study aimed to investigate the influence of different pattern of collaboration on the citation impact of publications on biodiversity research from Indonesian researcher. A one thousand six hundred and ninty nine (1,699) articles were published by researchers affiliated with institution located in Indonesia from 1990-2012 based on Scopus database. Different pattern of collaboration were investigated in different level. Based on the result, only 4.4% of those publications were single author publications, 11.4% of those were intra-institution publications, and 17.4% of those were domestic collaboration. Using linear regression analysis, the result of the study showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the number of authors and the number of citations in international publication on biodiversity research from Indonesian researcher. In addition, publications with a higher number of institutions have received higher number of citations. Publication with a higher number of foreign collaborating countries also received more citations.
