This article discusses about role of leadership and motivation of school headmaster in improving teacher performance. By using literature review in education, this article found that teacher is a professional profession where he is required to make every effort to carry out his activities as best he can. The task of the teacher as an educator, teacher and trainer should be able to impact the students. The teacher as one component in teaching and learning activities, has a position that greatly determines the success of learning. The role of the school headmaster is very important and dominant in improving teacher performance, both in increasing competence and work motivation and in building effective work systems and creating a harmonious, safe and pleasant working atmosphere. The efforts of improving the quality of teachers must be continuously carried out by school headmaster in order to improve the performance of teachers into reliable individuals who will advance the school organization. Therefore, we need the ability of the leadership role and motivation of the principal to explore, disseminate, foster and develop the potential of the teacher in order to improve teacher performance in order to achieve educational goals

This article describes about improving teacher performance from the point of view of teacher performance. The writing of this article uses descriptive analytical methods by reviewing the literature on teacher performance theory. Based on this study four conclusions were found: (a) Teachers are one component of education that play an important role in the success of education, teachers are expected to be able to play the role of ideal teachers. (b) Improving teacher performance is one way to improve the quality of education. (c) Teacher performance is the teacher's perception of teacher's work performance related to the quality of work, responsibility, honesty, cooperation and work results. (d) Several factors that influence teacher performance include: (1) the principal's leadership role, (2) personal relationships between peers, (3) teacher-controlled competencies, (4) good training and development of Teacher Resources (HR). Teachers have an important role as a determinant of the success of a quality learning process. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve teacher performance to know their roles and functions so that educational goals can be achieved.

There are several objectives of this paper including, to find out how leadership in the world of education (headmaster), discusses the leadership style in education, to study the leadership role of the principal and to improve coordination in carrying out tasks related to coordinating existing parties. The research method used is literacy collection in the form of books, articles and other reading papers. This paper complements the discussion about leadership, because the presence of leaders is needed in an organization, in this case the author focuses on education. In addition, leadership is needed in supporting the process of improving the quality of education, because the style or characteristics associated with leadership can improve and move individuals in the organization. The current leadership style in school management is no longer a force of coercion but uses a commitment based on togetherness so that all parties under educational leadership can contribute to achieving the educational goals to be achieved. Whereas the quality of educational outcomes is issued by educational institutions in a certain period of time. A leader from an educational institution will be a support for an educational institution to be able to get a quality educational institution Good leadership will encourage a strong educational institution to become better too.

The reearch method used is the collection of literacy in the form of papers books, articles and other reading. This paper complements the discussion about leadership. <p>This research was initiated by the rise of the business licensing service quality issues on the Government of Karimun Regency of Riau Islands province that has not been effective. The problem is detected, allegedly associated with the ineffectiveness of the leadership role, motivation, coordination and organizational commitment in the Government of Karimun Regency of Riau Islands province. The design of this study was conducted using a quantitative approach through explanatory survey method. Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The study found that the role of leadership, motivation, coordination and organizational commitment either partially or simultaneously have a significant influence on the quality of the business licensing services to the Government of Karimun Regency of Riau Islands province. The results also reveal that motivation is the most dominant variable in affecting the quality of service business permit, then followed by a variable leadership role. This implies that the improvement of the quality of service the business licensing is determined by the implementing agency work motivation factor and the magnitude of the leadership role in supporting the success of the process of business licensing services.</p>

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami: 1.) Essensi pendidikan yang ada di Malaysia dan Indonesia; dan 2.) Peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di Malaysia dan Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik studi literatur dengan harapan dapat memberikan penjelasan secara komprehensif terkait kualitas mutu pendidikan di negara berkembang. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1.) Essensi pendidikan yang ada di Malaysia dan Indonesia; dan 2.) Peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di Malaysia dan Indonesia. Essensi pendidikan baik di Malaysia atau di Indonesia hampir sama yaitu untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam ranah pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan. Malaysia dalam pengejawantahkan tentang essensi pendidikan lebih fokus dalam mengoptimalkan keterampilan peserta didik dengan kata lain peran guru sebagai pendidik di Malaysia sangat mempengaruhi keberlangsungan pedidikan. Peran yang dilakukan kepala sekolah yang ada di Indonesia dalam kaitannya untuk meningkatkan mutu sekolah yaitu dengan cara membentuk tim peningkatan mutu, melakukan perbaikan secara berkelanjutan dengan cara berkomunikasi dan meneruskannya kepada seluruh anggota yang ada dilembaga pendidikan, dan menciptakan suasana tempat bekerja yang nyaman. Sedangkan peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang ada di Malaysia diimplementasikan dengan cara kepala sekolah dapat mewujudkan visi dan misi sekolah, fokus dalam pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar dengan tujuan meningkatkan peringkat sekolah, dan komitmen dalam menciptakan kondisi atau lingkungan belajar yang positif sambil mendayagunakan seluruh warga sekolah dengan pendekatan yang ramah dan terbuka. AbstractThis study aims to understand 1.) This study uses qualitative research with data collection techniques using literature study techniques in the hope that it can provide a comprehensive explanation related to the quality of education in developing countries. The results of this study are 1.) The essence of education in Malaysia and Indonesia; and 2.) The role of the principal's leadership in Malaysia and Indonesia. The essence of education both in Malaysia or Indonesia is almost the same, namely to optimize the ability of students in the realm of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The Malaysian state in the embodiment of the essence of education is more focused on optimizing the skills of students, in other words, the role of teachers as educators in Malaysia greatly influences the sustainability of education. The role of the principal in the country of Indonesia in relation to improving the quality of schools is by forming a quality improvement team, make improvements on an ongoing basis by communicating and forwarding it to all existing members of the educational institution, and create a comfortable work environment. Whereas the principal's leadership role in Malaysia is implemented in a way that the principal can embody the vision and mission of the school, focus on managing teaching and learning processes with the aim of improving school rankings, and commitment to creating positive learning conditions or environments while empowering all school residents with a friendly and open approach.

This study aims to obtain in-depth information related to the role of school principals in supervising teacher performance. Supervised performance is related to teaching and learning activities. The principal carries out supervision to improve the quality of teacher performance. This study used a qualitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis consists of the data reduction process, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation. The findings show that supervision activities by school principals have provided valuable input for teachers to improve the quality of education. The teacher has carried out teaching and learning activities that are adapted to current conditions. However, the identified shortcomings are in the mastery of digital technology devices as a tool that can support educational activities.

To build quality human resources, the role of education is one very important factor. Educational success is determined by several factors many of which are internal factors and external factors. The ability of teachers to manage teaching and learning can encourage students to develop their potential. Therefore, the attention of all parties on improving teachers' motivation and ability which in turn will affect the performance of teachers is crucial in improving the quality of education in schools. By using multiple linear regression models in this study was identified that motivation has a very dominant role in the improvement of teacher performance factors other than teacher ability. If the motivation of teachers and the variable ability of teachers to manage classroom teaching contributes significantly to the performance of teachers, then it should be the principal and related educational agencies and teachers to give serious attention to these variables.Keywords: Motivation, Ability, and Teacher Performance.

This article describes the administration of special services. The teaching and learning process requires the support of facilities that are not directly used in the classroom. Facilities that do not directly include school libraries, school cooperatives, school health businesses and school cafeterias. Management of special services in schools is effective and efficient School Based Management (SBM). School is one of the facilities that can be used to improve the quality of Indonesia's population. Schools not only have responsibilities and duties to carry out the learning process in developing science and technology, but must maintain and improve students' physical and spiritual health.Special service management in schools is basically defined and organized to facilitate or facilitate learning, and can meet the special needs of students at school. Special services are provided in schools with a view to facilitating the implementation of teaching in the context of achieving educational goals in schools. Special services include guidance and counseling, libraries, laboratories, school health efforts (uks), canteens, school cooperatives, and transportation.
