A principal has an important role in improving teacher’s competence. This qualitative research with a case study approach aimed to reveal school principal’s role in increasing teacher pedagogical and professional competence in Muhammadiyah elementary school of Macanan, Sleman and Muhammadiyah elementary school of Al-Mujahidin, Gunungkidul. The research subject was the school principal and teachers. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation, then were analyzed using the stages of data collection, data reduction, data representation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the role of the school principal in increasing teacher pedagogical and professional competence was as a manager, leader, and innovator. As a manager, the school principal planned the program by detailing educators need and education staff, planning curriculum, and planning a policy for ad-ding the subject of guidance and counselling. As a leader, the school principal set the targets regarding class management and arranged a briefing, while as an innovator, the school principal emphasized the importance of innovation of information technology-based learning and class management. The three roles of the school principal impacted on teacher competence in conducting fun and meaningful learning, class management, the use of information technology in learning, the mastery of the material and student development. This research finding recommends Indonesia’s educational stakeholders to formulate the teacher’s competence development program.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa model manajemen bimbingan karir menggunakan aplikasi edmodo yang memenuhi lima aspek yaitu aspek tampilan, akses, interaksi, desain materi layanan, dan kontrol. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian Research & Development (R&D) melalui tiga langkah pengembangan yaitu tahap studi pendahuluan, tahap desain dan pengembangan model, tahap pengujian produk dan publikasi. Pengembangan produk mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Uji ahli dan uji lapangan terbatas dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif melalui penghitungan rerata dan persentase serta pengkategorian. Pengembangan model diperoleh dengan prinsip-prinsip manajemen G.R.Terry, yaitu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian yaitu produk dengan nama MBK-MAE yang terdiri dari bagan model dan deskripsinya, materi bimbingan karir untuk SMK, panduan guru BK, panduan siswa, dan panduan untuk operator IT. Hasil uji validitas oleh ahli materi sebesar 88%, ahli media sebesar 84% dan calon pengguna sebesar 83%. Berdasarkan uji ahli dan uji lapangan terbatas tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk berupa model manajemen bimbingan karir menggunakan aplikasi edmodo masuk dalam kategori baik dan layak untuk digunakan.AbstractThis study aims to produce a product in the form of career guidance management model using the Edmodo application that fulfills five aspects, namely appearance, access, interaction, service material design, and control. The research approach uses the Research & Development (R&D), the research method through three development steps, namely the preliminary study stage, the design and development stage of the model, the product testing phase and publication. Product development refers to the ADDIE development model which includes the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation stages. The data collection method uses observation and interview. Expert tests and limited field tests were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques through the calculation of the mean and percentage and categorization. The development of the model is obtained by the principles of G.R.Terry management, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The results of this study are products with the name MBK-MAE consisting of a model charts and their descriptions, career guidance material for SMK, guidance counselors, student guides, and guidance for IT operators. The validity test result by material expert is 88%, media expert is 84% and prospective users are 83%. Based on the expert test and limited field test, it can be concluded that the product in the form of a career guidance management model using the Edmodo application is included in the good category and is suitable t be used.

Penelitian ini bertujuan membuktikan adanya pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja, secara sendiri-sendiri maupun bersama, terhadap kinerja guru SD negeri di Kecamatan Comal Kabupaten Pemalang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan survey yang bersifat explanatory. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang telah teruji keabsahannya terbukti valid dan stabil. Pengujian prasarat analisis yang meliputi uji normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedasitas, dan linearitas menunjukkan persyaratan telah terpenuhi. Hasil uji F hitung 120,311 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000<0,05, berarti ada pengaruh signifikan dan positif gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Dari uji parsial, diperoleh nilai signifikansi gaya kepemimpinan transformasional 0,001, motivasi kerja 0,000, dan kepuasan kerja 0,000< 0,05, berarti gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja masing-masing berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap kinerja guru. Hal ini menunjukkan semua hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima, artinya ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja, baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun bersama, terhadap kinerja guru.AbstractThis study aims to prove the influence of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction both individually and collectively on the performance of elementary school teachers in Comal District, Pemalang Regency. This is a quantitative study using a cross sectional approach and an explanatory survey. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and is proven valid and stable. The results of the analysis prerequisite test including normality test, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and linearity show that the requirements have been fulfilled. The result of the F test count is 120.311 with a significance value of 0.000<0.05, meaning that there is a significant and positive effect of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction on teacher performance. Partial test shows that the significance value of transformational leadership style is 0.001, work motivation is 0.000, and job satisfaction is 0.000<0.05, meaning that transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction have a significant and positive effect on teacher performance, respectively. It shows that all hypotheses in this study are acceptable, which means that there is a positive and significant effect of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction both individually and collectively on the teachers’ performance.

Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemdikbud) menetapkan Asesmen Nasional untuk mensubtitusi Ujian Nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran sejauh mana guru-guru di sekolah dasar mempersiapkan diri mereka dalam menghadapi Asesmen Nasional, khususnya pada komponen pengetahuan mereka akan literasi membaca. Sebanyak 23 guru tersertifikasi maupun non sertifikasi dilibatkan sebagai responden. Para guru tersebut mengajar peserta didik mulai dari kelas I hingga kelas VI. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan pendekatan campuran antara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Guru diminta untuk menjawab soal literasi membaca dan merancang soal literasi membaca mulai dari mode LOTS hingga HOTS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 70% guru mampu menjawab soal literasi membaca yang terdiri dari teks informasi dan teks fiksi. Guru tidak mengalami masalah dalam menyusun soal kategori LOTS, namun guru mengalami kesulitan dalam merancang soal HOTS. Kesulitan yang ditemukan adalah guru belum mampu menyusun stimulan soal secara kohesif dan koheren. Selain itu, 70% soal rancangan guru belum mencerminkan rumusan instruksi soal dengan baik sehingga menimbulkan keambiguan bagi peserta didik yang akan menyelesaikan soal-soal tersebut. Dengan demikian, sekolah menerapkan strategi penanganan khusus dengan menyelenggarakan lokakarya internal yang ditindaklanjuti dengan supervisi, monitoring, dan evaluasi secara berkala.AbstractEducation and Culture Ministry announced Nasional Assessment to replace National Exam. This study purposes to depict elementary teachers’ readiness to face National Assessment, particularly in reading literacy. There were 23 teachers involved as the participants. They, either certified or non-certified, taught students from grade 1 to grade 6. The design of the study applied mixed approaches between qualitative and quantitative study. The participants were asked to answer reading-literacy questions and construct reading-literacy questions consisting both LOTS and HOTS levels. The result showed 70% teachers able to answer the questions consisting information and fiction texts. In other words, teachers found no problem in de-signing LOTS-based question, but they faced difficulty in constructing HOTS-based questions. These findings indicate teachers were not able to design cohesive and coherent texts. Besides, 70% of the questions did not meet the requirement of the well-structured instructions which led to ambiguity for students to solve the questions. Hence, the school management stipulated a special intervention by administering internal workshop followed up by supervision, monitoring, and evaluation carried out periodically.

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui program apa saja yang dapat mewujudkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) unggul era 4.0 dan untuk membuat kerangka konseptual baru dalam manajemen pendidikan yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan era 4.0. Artikel ini ditulis dengan menggunakan metode literature review dengan pendekatan mapping review.  Proses literature review ini dilakukan dengan cara mencari artikel yang relevan, mengevaluasi dengan cara ekstraksi, menganalisis, dan selanjutnya mensintesis. Database yang digunakan dalam pencarian referensi menggunakan JSTOR dan Springer Link. Hasil dari literature review ini adalah bahwa program-program pendidikan yang menunjang adanya revolusi industri 4.0 berkaitan dengan digital transformation pada aspek-aspek manajemen pendidikan. Kerangka konseptual yang dibuat berkaitan dengan aspek manajemen yang meliputi SDM, Kurikulum, Pembelajaran, Pembiayaan, Sarana Prasarana, Humas, dan Kompetensi Lulusan.AbstractThe purpose of this article writing is to find out what programs can realize superior human resources (HR) of 4.0 era and to create a new conceptual framework in education management that can improve the quality of education in the 4.0 era. This article was written using the literature review method with a mapping review approach. The literature review process was carried out by finding relevant articles, evaluating them by extracting, analyzing, and then synthesizing. The database used in searching references was JSTOR and Springer Link. The results of this review literature are that educational programs that support the 4.0 industrial revolution are related to digital transformation in aspects of educational management. The conceptual framework created is related to management aspects which include HR, Curriculum, Learning, Financing, Infrastructure Facilities, Public Relations, and Graduates' Competencies.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan sumber daya, baik sumber daya manusia seperti kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, dan wali murid, maupun non manusia yang meliputi pemerintahan dan kurikulum dalam pengaruh peningkatan mutu pembelajaran kelas IX di SMP Negeri 2 Nglipar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan jenis pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah SMP Negeri 2 Nglipar, guru kelas IX, siswa kelas IX, dan orang tua atau wali siswa kelas IX. Dalam penelitian ini prosedur pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan cara observasi serta wawancara.Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi dan smartphone sebagai alat perekam dan dokumentasi. Dari data hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa aspek-aspek yang berpengaruh dalam peningkatan mutu kelas IX pada masa pandemi COVID-19 dibagi menjadi lima aspek, yaitu dukungan pemerintah, kepala sekolah yang efektif, kinerja guru, kurikulum, serta dukungan dari wali siswa yang dari keseluruhan aspek saling bekerja sama. AbstractThis research aims to find out the management and utilization of resources, both human resources such as principals, teachers, students, and students’ parents, as well as non-human who include government, and curriculum in the influence of improving the quality of learning grade IX in SMP Negeri 2 Nglipar. This research uses descriptive research with qualitative approach type. The subjects in this research are the principal of SMP Negeri 2 Nglipar, grade IX teachers, grade IX students, and parents or guardians of grade IX students. In this research, the data collection procedure used is by observation and interview. Research instruments in this research are researchers (human instruments), observation sheets, interview sheets, and smartphones as recorders and documentation. From the data of the research, it was concluded that the aspects that influenced the quality improvement of grade 9 during the COVID-19 pandemic were divided into five aspects, namely government support, effective principal, teacher performance, curriculum, and support of parents with all aspect cooperate with each other.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan pengaruh pemasaran jasa pendidikan terhadap mutu Pondok Pesantren Syamsul ‘Ulum. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh pelanggan internal dan eksternal pesantren. Teknik cluster sampling digunakan untuk memilih responden yang terdiri dari santri, guru, pembimbing asrama dan orang tua santri dengan jumlah 220 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis data dengan menggunakan statistik parametrik melalui bantuan software SPSS 25.0 melalui persamaan regresi linear sederhana, apabila nilai thitung<ttabel, maka H0 diterima, tapi apabila nilai thitung > ttabel, maka H0 ditolak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa thitung > ttabel (10,257>1,971) sehingga H0 ditolak artinya terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan pemasaran pendidikan terhadap mutu Pondok Pesantren Syamsul ‘Ulum dengan persentase sebesar 32,7%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pemasaran pendidikan akan meningkatkan mutu Pondok Pesantren Syamsul ‘Ulum. Hal tersebut berimplikasi bahwa Pondok Pesantren Syamsul ‘Ulum seyogyanya memberi perhatian yang serius pada kebutuhan pengguna jasa pendidikan dan jeli melihat segmentasi dan penentuan sasaran.AbstractThis research aims to discover the effect of marketing education services on the quality of Syamsul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School. The research populations were internal and external customers of the boarding school. Cluster sampling technique was used to select respondents consisting of students, teachers, boarding supervisors and students’ parents with a total of 220 people. Data collection was conducted by questionnaire, interview and documentation techniques. Then, data were analyzed using parametric statistics through the help of SPSS 25.0 software through a simple linear regression, if the value of thitung<ttabel, therefore H0 is accepted, but if tcount > ttable, therefore H0 is rejected. The results of research showed that tcount > ttable (10.257> 1.971) therefore H0 was rejected, it means that there was a positive and significant influence of education marketing on the quality of Syamsul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School with a percentage of 32.7%. Based on the results of the research, it is concluded that educational marketing activities will improve the quality of Syamsul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School. This implies that the Syamsul Islamic Boarding School ‘Ulum should give a serious attention to the needs of customers and is keen to see a segmentation and targeting.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (a) pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja guru, (b) pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja guru, (c) pengaruh lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja guru, dan pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan survei yang dilakukan terhadap 63 guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Metode analisis data ialah statistik dengan pendekatan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh faktor motivasi kerja guru terhadap kinerja guru, yakni sebesar 14,54 %. (2) Terdapat pengaruh faktor budaya organisasi, yakni budaya sekolah terhadap kinerja guru, sebesar 24,68 persen. (3) Terdapat pengaruh faktor lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja guru. (4) Terdapat pengaruh faktor kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja, yakni sebesar 13,88 persen. Hasil analisis dari nilai koefisien determinasi menjelaskan bahwa kontribusi faktor motivasi guru, budaya organisasi dan lingkungan kerja, dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru, sebesar 70,4 %, sementara sisanya (nilai residu) dari peran variabel yang tidak diteliti sebesar 29,6%. Nilai residu tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi variabel kinerja guru, seperti iklim organisasi, fasilitas kerja, pendidikan dan pelatihan.AbstractThis study aims to determine (a) the influence of motivation on teacher performance, (b) the influence of organizational culture on teacher performance, (c) the effect of work environment on teacher performance, and the effect of job satisfaction on teacher performance. This research is quantitative research with a survey conducted on 63 teachers. Data were collected through a questionnaire. The method of data analysis used is statistics with a path analysis approach. The results showed that (1) there is an influence of teacher work motivation factors on teacher performance, which is equal to 14.54%. (2) There is an influence of organizational culture factors, namely school culture on teacher performance, amounting to 24.68 percent. (3) There is an influence of work environment factors on teacher performance. (4) There is an influence of job satisfaction factors on performance, which is equal to 13.88 percent. The results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination explain that the contribution of teacher motivation factors, organizational culture and work environment, and job satisfaction to teacher performance is 70.4%, while the rest (residual value) from the role of the variables not studied was 29.6%. The residual value indicates that there are other factors that can influence teacher performance variables, such as organizational climate, work facilities, education, and training.

Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan mengetahui manajemen program bahasa Arab pada anak prasekolah di Yayasan PAUD Sultan Qaimuddin Kendari. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara pada ketua yayasan, observasi, dan dokumentasi tentang manajemen program bahasa Arab pada anak prasekolah. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa yayasan ini menggunakan fungsi-fungsi kajian manajemen program dalam melaksanakan program pembelajaran bahasa Arab pada anak prasekolah sehingga program ini berjalan efektif dan efisien, yaitu: (1) Perencanaan program pembelajaran bahasa arab pada anak prasekolah melalui tahap identifikasi kebutuhan, rapat koordinasi, penyusunan program kerja, pelaksanaan program kerja, dan pengawasan. (2) Pengorganisasian di yayasan ini ialah pembina sebagai ketua yayasan yang memegang kekuasaan paling tinggi, dibantu pengurus dan pengawas yayasan, juga pengelola yayasan yang meliputi guru dan tenaga administrasi. (3) Pelaksanaan program pembelajaran bahasa Arab pada anak prasekolah ini yaitu dengan mempersiapkan hal yang berkaitan dengan penentuan guru, pembuatan rencana proses pembelajaran (RPP), penentuan jadwal pembelajaran, dan sarana prasarana yang dibutuhkan. (4) Pengawasan program pembelajaran bahasa Arab ini dilakukan dengan metode langsung.AbstractThis descriptive qualitative research aims to determine the management programs of Arabic in preschool children at Yayasan PAUD of Sultan Qaimuddin Kendari. Data collection uses interviews with the head of the foundation, observations, and documentation about the management programs of Arabic in preschool children. The results show that the foundation uses the functions of management program studies in implementing Arabic learning programs in preschool children so the program runs effectively and efficiently, namely: (1) Planning the Arabic language program for preschool children through the stages of need identification, coordination meetings, preparation of work programs, implementation of work programs, and supervision. (2) Organization at this foundation is that the founder as chairman of the foundation holds the highest authority and is assisted by official members, supervisors, and organizers, including teachers and administrative staff. (3) Implementation of the Arabic language program for preschool children at this foundation is to prepare the matters related to determining the teachers, making the learning process plan, determining the learning schedule, and required infrastructure. (4) Controlling the Arabic language program in preschool children is carried out in a direct method.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggali penjaminan mutu dalam pengelolaan SDM sebagai hasil praktik baik selama WFH, yang diharapkan berguna bagi pengelolaan SDM di perguruan tinggi (PT). Survei daring dilakukan untuk menggali opini, perspektif, dan praktik dari stakeholder. Hasil menunjukkan 90% responden berasal dari PTS dan 73% berlokasi di Jakarta (N=198). Responden (85%) setuju PT telah mempersiapkan WFH, penetapan kebijakan, virtual workspace, SDM, mekanisme monitoring dan evaluasi. Responden (80%) mengapresiasi persiapan dan pengambilan keputusan WFH. Responden (50%) memenuhi 51-75% tuntutan pekerjaan selama WFH. Responden (52%) menyatakan unitnya mencapai 51-75% target kerja. Responden (87%) mengapresiasi mekanisme monitoring. Apresiasi responden (82%) diberikan pada efektivitas WFH. Responden (88%) setuju WFH sebagai opsi cara kerja mendatang. Responden setuju (38%) 3+2 hari (WFH+WFO) per minggu. Responden setuju (35%) menukar 15-30% biaya transpor dengan WFH. Pertanyaan terbuka menunjukkan agar WFH didukung akses internet dan virtual workspace yang memadai. Penelitian ini menunjukkan praktik teladan sepanjang WFH yang dapat distandarkan menjadi penjaminan mutu pengelolaan SDM, di antaranya standar pengambilan keputusan, mekanisme monev, dan fasilitas daring.AbstractThis research aimed to explore the quality assurance in human resources management as best practices of WFH, that would be beneficial for HR management in higher education institutions (HEI). An online survey was done to seek opinions, perspectives, and meaningful practices among HEI stakeholders. Results show 90% of respondents are from private universities, and 73% are located in Jakarta (N total 198). Respondents (85%) agree there is preparation toward WFH, the policy, virtual workspace, HR, monitoring and evaluation mechanism. Respondents (80%) appreciate the WFH preparation and decision. Respondents (50%) complete 51-75% of the work during WFH. Respondents (52%) state their unit achieved 51-75% of the target during WFH. Respondents (87%) appreciate the monitoring mechanism. Their appreciation (82%) is given to the effectiveness of WFH. Respondents agree (88%) of WFH as an option for the future of working. Respondents agree (38%) of 3+2 days (WFH+WFO) per week. Respondents agree (35%) to exchange their 15-30% of transport fees to WFH. The open-ended questions show WFH should be supported by adequate access to the internet and virtual workspace. This research shows best practices of WFH, which could be standardized as QA toward HR system, including the standards of decision making, monitoring and evaluation, and online facilities.
