Many national curricula have incorporated computational thinking (CT) into compulsory education. Teacher ability to deliver the revised curriculum determines whether these new skills can be successfully integrated into teaching. Therefore, it is crucial to examine teacher readiness. This study measured Swedish K-9 teacher CT skills through a CT test validated by an expert review panel and a principal component analysis. Additionally, we engaged statistical analyses to examine the relationship between the teachers' background and their CT test scores, as well as their self-reported ability to teach CT. The result demonstrated the teachers' proficiency in different types of CT skills. Another finding revealed that the type of programming language mastered by teachers was associated with both their CT test score and self-reported ability to teach CT. This CT test can support teachers to identify specific areas for professional development and may facilitate the school management to plan teachers' competence training strategically.

Learning media is one of the supporting facilities in teaching and learning activities. In this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, online-based learning media is very necessary. The lack of teacher ability in using interactive learning media makes online learning even more boring, especially in learning to write poetry. The articulate storyline is one software that can produce more interesting learning media. Using many features can produce learning media that are more varied, innovative, and easy to use. The research method used is RND, which has ten research steps that the researchers then simplified into four main steps, namely the research and data collection stage, the planning stage, the product development stage, and the validation and testing stage. Media development results are a product of a poem made by class X students at SMA Negeri 2 Sukabumi. The product was produced after learning poetry material using online interactive learning media. Three validators assessed the media feasibility level. The material validator is given a feasibility value of 82%, the medium validator is given a value of 80%, and the Indonesian language learning validator is given 84%. Meanwhile, 89% of students responded "Ya" in student responses, and 11% of students responded "Tidak". Based on the validator's assessment results, the media was considered very feasible to be used in schools and received a positive response from students.

Ongoing technology progress sustains innovative teaching approaches. Mobile devices, augmented reality (AR), and games are a few of the new resources that teachers have at their disposal to promote student learning. However, their effective integration into practices requires training, so there is a need to analyze the impact of training initiatives on teacher professional development. A case study is being conducted on the development process of mobile AR games for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning by 14 Portuguese in-service teachers in a 50 h workshop. This contribution refers to the analysis of this training’s impact on teacher professional development through a questionnaire filled in at the beginning and end of the workshop. This study registered a higher impact on teachers’ understanding of AR educative use, the less-known approach, compared to mobile and game-based learning. Moreover, teachers became more experienced with these approaches as learners, and reported having explored them with their students during the workshop period. Teacher ability to identify benefits and barriers in these approaches increased with the workshop, particularly the learning that could be promoted with mobile AR games. The presented set of barriers to implementation is relevant to future teacher professional-development initiatives.

The lack of teacher ability in designing thematic learning that can activate students so that it impacts students who tend to be passive in learning. One way to increase student activity in thematic learning was by the help of learning media in the form of media fun thinkers. This study aimed to produce media fun thinkers "Weather" and determine the validity of the media fun thinkers "Weather." This research used development research carried out using the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study were two lecturers as content experts, two lecturers as media experts, two teachers as practitioners, and 12 students consisting of 3 students as individual tests and nine students as small group tests. The instrument used in this research was a rating scale and a questionnaire. The data collection method used was observation, interviews, document studies, rating scales, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the Aiken validation index to determine the validity of the fun thinkers' media and the percentage to determine the teacher and student responses. As a result, the ADDIE media developed was declared valid based on the results of the assessment by content experts, and media experts as a whole obtained the lowest Aiken validation index of 0.625 and the highest 1. The teacher and student responses obtained an overall percentage of 91.7% with very good qualifications. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the weather fun thinkers media was valid and feasible to use in lessons, especially the weather theme for grade III elementary school.
