Using a longitudinal sample this study aim was to compare friendships quality with the best friend and the amout of friends of adolescents who are inclined into delinquent behavior and who are not inclined into delinquent behavior.The sample consisted of 2638 adolescents: 1482 boys (56.18 %) and 1156 girls (43.82 %). Respondents were divided into goups of boys and girls who are inclined into delinquent behavior and who are not inclined into delinquent behavior. Friendship quality was assessed by free J. G. Parker and S. R. Asher (1989) Friendship Quality Questionaire subscales: 1) Validation and Caring scale, 2) Intimate Exchange scale, 3) Conflict and Betrayal scale. Delinquent behavior was assessed by problematical behavior scale evaluation, which was created by the group of project “Political socialization development from the adolescence till the youth: mechanisms of citizens political identity development in Lithuania” researchers according to B. Kracke and M. Held (1994). Amount of adolescents’ intimate friends was assesed by asking respondents to write up to 8 friends names and surnames from the school.Research results show that boys are more inclined into delinquent behavior than girls. Friendships with the best friend of adolescents who are inclined into delinquent behavior are more intimately exchangeable and conflicted then friendships with the best friend of those adolescents who are not inclined into delinquent behavior. Validation and caring level of adolescents, who are inclined into delinquent behavior and who are not inclined into delinquent behavior, friendships do not differ. Furthermore, adolescents who are inclined into delinquent behavior have more friends than adolescents who are not inclined into delinquent behavior.This research shows that friendships of adolescences twho are inclined into delinquent behavior has some similarities and some differences from the friendships of adolescences who are not inclined into delinquent behavior.

This article explores the representation of guilt in six recent young adult novels, in which it is suggested that teen protagonists still experience guilt in relation to their emerging non-normative sexual identities. The experience of guilt may take several different forms, but all dealt with here are characterised by guilt without agency – that is, the protagonist has not deliberately said or done anything to cause harm to another. In a first pair of novels, guilt is depicted as a consequence of internalised homophobia, with which protagonists must at least partly identify. In a second group, protagonists seem to experience a form of separation guilt from an early age because they fail to conform to the norms of the family. Certain events external to the teen protagonist, and for which they cannot be held responsible, then trigger serious depressive episodes, which jeopardise the protagonist's positive identity development. Finally, characters are depicted as experiencing a form of survivor guilt. A gay protagonist survives the events of 9/11 but endures a breakdown, and, in a second novel, a lesbian protagonist narrates her coming to terms with the death of her best friend.

This study examined the roles of grandparent-child cohesion and friendship quality in left-behind children’s positive and negative affect compared with non-left-behind children. Data from 557 participants indicated that grandparent-child cohesion and friendship quality predicted children’s emotional adaptation. Friend trust and support and intimate exchange had a stronger predictive effect on positive affect among non-left-behind children. Moreover, the interaction effects between grandparent-child cohesion and friendship quality on children’s positive affect supported the reinforcement model, while the interaction effects on negative affect supported the reinforcement model among left-behind children but supported the compensation model among non-left-behind children.

Through sustained ethnographic field work that inquired into youth participatory action researchers’ political identity development, I identified a politicized discourse engaged by youth during their early stages of action research that I have termed Black resilience neoliberalism (BRN). This study explicates BRN theory, tracing its connection to policy discourses related to Black youth and schools and exploring the ways its tenets are revealed in Black youth action researchers’ reflections on race/racism, inequality, and social change. I argue that BRN is both a conspicuous and an inconspicuous thread of neoliberal discourse and logic, which hides in plain sight as empowerment; however, it is entangled with the project of hegemony. To that end, destabilizing the legitimization of BRN is crucial to reconstituting empowerment.

Abstract. The purpose of the present research was to develop and provide initial validation of the Fitness Coaching Behavior Scale (FCBS-Fit) designed for assessing perceived the quality of instructor’s behaviors in fitness group classes through the theoretical adaptation to the Coaching Model (Côté et al., 1995), originally derived from sports. In total, 618 participants of fitness group classes accepted to participate in this investigation. The purpose of the research was achieved in three phases: (1) development of the item pool and content validation of the preliminary version of the FCBS-Fit (27 items); preliminary examination of the factorial structure through exploratory factor analysis (n1 = 185) that revealed a scale with 20 items distributed by 4 factors: Technical and Positive Rapport, Exercise Planning and Prescription, Negative Rapport, and Goal Setting; (2) confirmatory factor analysis to the 4-factor model indicated adequate fit model fit, reliability and convergent and discriminant validity. In addition, a multi-group CFA indicated measurement invariance of the factorial structure across samples (n2 = 210); (3) structural equation model examined criterion validity through analysis of the relationships between the 4-factors of EPCI-Fit and enjoyment in exercise (n3 = 223). Psychometric evidence suggests that the FCBS could be used as a reliable and valid measure to assess Portuguese participant`s perceptions of the quality of instructor’s behaviors in fitness group classes.Resumen. El propósito del presente estudio fue desarrollar y validar preliminarmente la Escala de Percepción del Comportamiento del Instructor de Fitness (EPCI-Fit) cuyo objetivo es evaluar la calidad de los comportamientos de los instructores de fitness en clases de grupo, a través de la adaptación teórica al Coaching Model (Côté et al., 1995), original del entrenamiento deportivo. En total, participaran 618 practicantes de fitness en clases de grupo de diversas áreas del litoral de Portugal continental. El propósito del estudio fue alcanzado en tres fases: (1) desarrollo del banco de ítems y validación inicial del contenido de la versión inicial de EPCI-Fit (27 ítems); la evaluación preliminar de la estructura factorial a través de análisis factorial exploratorio (n1 = 185) que resultó en una escala con 20 ítems distribuidos por 4 factores - Feedback técnico positivo, Feedback negativo, Formulación de objetivos, y Planificación y prescripción del ejercicio; (2) estimación del ajuste del modelo de 4-factores a través de análisis factorial confirmatorio, y análisis a la fiabilidad compuesta, y validez convergente y discriminante (n2 = 210); evaluación de la invariancia métrica del modelo de 4-factores en dos muestras independientes (n1 = 185; n2 = 210); y (3) estimación de la validez de criterio a través del análisis a las relaciones entre los 4-factores de la EPCI-Fit y el disfrute en la práctica de ejercicio (n3 = 223). Background: Friends have the most influence in an individual's life. Friendship contains specific elements, such as trust, openness, sharing of ups and downs, and learning to deal with conflict. Puberty children try to have friends to share their feelings with others. Because with good friendship will reduce minimize the anxiety they experience at puberty (Wulandari, Kustriyani, & Fiyannti, 2018).Objectives: The Purpose of this study to determine the relationship between friendship quality and anxiety facing the physical changes of puberty in female students at SDIT Bakti Insani Sleman Yogyakarta.Methods: This study was a quantitative research with survey method, with a total sampling of 47 respondents. Research instruments with questionnaires, the questionnaire was adopted from Marvienda (2007), researchers used a measuring instrument in the form of a friendship quality scale and anxiety scale of female students during puberty. Data analysis using person product moment.Results: The result showed respondents age 100% at the early adolescent stage, 74.5% respondents had not yet menarche, 25.5% had menarche, the average value of friendship quality was 84.89 and the average anxiety value was 63.91. The results showed that there was no relationship between the quality of friendship with anxiety facing physical changes during puberty in female students at SDIT Bakti Insani Sleman Yogyakarta (r = -.38, p-value = .802).Conclusion: This study found that the majority of respondents were in their early teens and only a small proportion had experienced menarche. The average value of high friendship quality shows that the quality of friendship is also high and the average value of anxiety in the medium shows moderate anxiety. The implications of this study are as input or consideration in preparing adolescent reproductive health starting from the beginning of puberty at school. Keywords: Quality of Friendship, Anxiety, Puberty, Physical Changes

Abstract Background Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) liver depression infertility quality of life scale is developed to provide a scientific and reliable tool for TCM treatment and intervention in the treatment of liver depression patients with infertility, as well as basis and assistance for clinical decision-making.Methods Literature research method: Through the retrieval of Chinese knowledge network (CNKI), Wanfang (WANFANG), Vip (VIP), Springer, PubMed database of existing Chinese life quality scale and infertility dedicated quality of life scale, an entry pool is built with symptoms, emotional state, social function state and satisfaction as dimensions. Using the Delphi method to screen the entries. Screening entries according to the results of expert review, and evaluating the positive degree coefficient, authority degree and coordination coefficient by the experts. Using the clinical questionnaire method to screen the entries further. To form the Chinese medicine liver depression infertility life of quality scale. Scale evaluation: the reliability and validity of the scale were evaluated based on the results of the clinical questionnaire. Results After two rounds of Delphi method, there are 33 entries remained. The clinical questionnaire rescreened entries, formed the traditional Chinese medicine liver depression infertility quality of life scale containing 4 dimensions of symptoms, emotional states, social function states and satisfaction, with total of 29 entries and VAS score scale. Evaluation results: the Kronbach alpha coefficients performed well in total and each aspect. The validity of the scale: the structural efficiency evaluation results are in good agreement with the scale structure envisioned at the time of design. The relationship between the quality of life scale and the standard scale (FertiQoL International2008) showed a high absolute value.Conclusion In this study, the quality of life scale of Chinese medicine liver depression type infertility was developed by literature research, Delphi method and clinical questionnaire, with good reliability and validity of the scale evaluated. It could be used as a tool for efficacy judgment tool or quality of life evaluation in Chinese medicine treatment or intervention for patients with liver depression infertility.
