ABSTRACT Objective: To elaborate and validate a tool to assess knowledge and behavior of nursing professionals about standards and specific precautions in the Primary Health Care. Method: Methodological study of the elaboration and validation of the tool by thirteen experts judges, using a Likert scale of 4 points, with Content Validity Index ≥ 0.80, on clarity, relevance and pertinence. Results: A tool composed of 47 dichotomous questions to assess knowledge and 12 questions, with five options of answers, for the referred behavior. In the validation, only one item was deleted, related to the “Hands Hygiene” axis and one item was reformulated, regarding “Use of Common Gloves” and another 11 changed writing. The tool as a whole was assessed for relevance, comprehensiveness and representativeness within the scope of the topic investigated. Conclusion: The developed tool has been validated and is now available for use in Primary Health Care.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to identify and confirm the priority nursing diagnosis of International Classification for Nursing Practice® for home nursing consultation to adults in Primary Health Care. Methods: qualitative study, of methodological and validation type. The 5-point Likert scale was used, with a minimum Content Validity Index of 80% consensus among judges., considering the answers “priority” or “very priority” for the list of nursing diagnoses presented. 23 expert judges participated in this survey. Results: a hundred and eleven nursing diagnoses of prepared statements lists have been grouped by human systems and sociodemographic characteristics. were grouped by human systems and sociodemographic characteristics. Eighty-three of them (74.77%) had a Content Validity Index equal or higher to 0.8; and 27 (32.5%) had an index of 1.0 (100%) among judges. Conclusions: nursing diagnosis validated can be used to assist clients in home nursing consultations in Primary Health Care.

ABSTRACT Objectives: To build and validate the content of digital educational resources (DERs) for the promotion of health and safety for professionals working in Primary Health Care (PHC). Methods: Methodological study consisting of two stages: the first describes the phases of the construction of DERs; and the second validated the content of DERs by a Committee of Experts that used the Instrument for Validating Educational Content in Health (IVECH) and applied the Content Validity Index (CVI). Results: Seven storyboards have been built in MP4 obtaining the overall CVI from 0.84 to 0.96. In relation to “objectives”, the CVI ranged from 0.84 to 0.95; in “structure/presentation”, from 0.91 to 0.99; and in “relevance”, from 0.81 to 0.95. Conclusions: The seven DERs are validated products that can be used for permanent health education on health and safety at work of PHC professionals.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to validate a scenario for clinical simulation: prenatal nursing consultation for adolescents. Methods: methodological study developed from January to December 2019, in five stages (overview, scenario, scenario design, progression, debriefing and assessment). The validation involved four volunteer students, a teacher as a facilitator and four judges. The judges filled out a Likert scale with four responses. Data was analyzed using Microsoft Excel® software, version 2016. Absolute and relative frequencies and the content validity index were calculated, considering a minimum acceptable value of 1.0. Results: the preparation of the scenario was based on the proposed learning objectives. The scenario was validated with a global content validity index equal to 1.0. Final Considerations: the study achieved the proposed objective. This scenario can contribute to preparing nurses to work in the care of pregnant teenagers, a representative public in Brazil that requires specific care.

ABSTRACT Objective: to describe the stages of construction and content validation of an instrument to assess Primary Health Care Planning workshops. Methods: this methodological study focused on validating the instrument’s content. The instrument developed was assessed by a committee of experts using the Delphi Technique, in two rounds. For the degree of agreement, percentage agreement and Content Validity Index (CVI) were used. Results: in the first round, six experts participated, and the degree of agreement was 87% for clarity and 94% for representativeness. In the second round, five experts participated, the CVI was 0.95 for clarity, 0.97 for representativeness and 0.96 total CVI. The final instrument had 42 items divided into three chunks. Conclusion: the instrument has content validity to assess Primary Health Care Planning workshops, being a tool for the use of state and municipal administrations.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to validate the terms of the specialized nursing language used in the care of people with chronic kidney disease undergoing conservative treatment identified in the literature by mapping them with terms of the International Classification for Nursing Practice, version 2019, and representing them by means of a mandala. Methods: descriptive, documentary and methodological study. The terms were collected in 53 scientific articles, standardized and mapped with the terminology. The validation was performed by six nurses through a focus group. The Content Validity Index was used and terms with a value ≥ 0.80 were validated. Results: the normalization resulted in 957 relevant terms, of which 499 were constant and 458 not included in the terminology. Terms were validated when Content Validity Index was between 0.86 and 1.0. Conclusions: the study allowed the validation of terms that will contribute to unify the professional language of nursing in the care of people with chronic kidney disease.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to build and validate educational self-care technology for informal caregivers. Methods: methodological study, anchored in the Delphi technique, carried out in a municipality in the state of Paraná, Brazil, between September 2018 and November 2019. It was developed in three stages: situational diagnosis; elaboration of educational technology; content and appearance validation by expert judges and informal caregivers, using the content validity index and coefficient of variation. Results: after the steps of the methodological process, an educational technology called “Taking Care of Those Who Care” was produced, as an information tool that deals with the self-care of informal caregivers, receiving a content validity index above 0.86 and a variation coefficient. below 20% on all items. Conclusions: the educational technology was built and evaluated with satisfactory rates by the specialists and target audience, showing a high correlation of agreement, characterizing it as adequate and informative to informal caregivers.

INTRODUCTION: The New Zealand Primary Health Care Strategy has emphasised the importance of well-coordinated service teams in managing complex chronic conditions. There is international evidence that physiotherapists can contribute effectively to the prevention and management of these conditions. However, there are few examples of physiotherapists in New Zealand (NZ) engaging in primary health care (PHC). It has been recognised that professional development is necessary to optimise physiotherapists’ participation in PHC. AIM: The aim of this study was to both design a self-check tool that physiotherapists could use as an initial step in preparing to work in PHC and to assess the content validity of the tool. METHODS: A literature review informed the development of the self-check tool. The tool was reviewed by members of the Physiotherapy New Zealand PHC working party to establish content validity. RESULTS: The tool was found to have excellent content validity with an overall score of 0.937, exceeding the acceptable index of 0.8. Item validity was excellent or acceptable for all except two items, which were subsequently modified in the final tool. DISCUSSION: This investigation provides initial support for the tool’s potential use by physiotherapists as a means of determining their readiness to work in PHC. It could have application beyond individual professional development to the wider context of team and organisational development. Additionally, with minor modifications the tool could have broader application to other professional groups. ABSTRACT Objective: to validate the content of a Standard Operational Procedure, regarding nursing interventions in emergency patients treated with vasoactive drugs. Method: methodological study, carried out from December 2015 to January 2016. Content validity was determined by 16 experts (13 nurses, 2 pharmacists and one biomedical scientist), who judged it through a four-point Likert scale. The items were evaluated in terms of: feasibility, objectivity, simplicity, clearness, pertinence and accuracy. The Content Validity Index was applied, accepting the value ≥ 0.90. Results: two rounds of evaluation were required to achieve the minimum index. The items were reviewed regarding writing, dilution, indication and replacement interval. The instrument was validated with 33 items and with total Content Validity Index of 0.99. Conclusion: the instrument was considered appropriate, fractionally and globally, for nursing care for the patient treated with vasoactive drugs in emergency, in a safe and reliable way.
