ABSTRACT Objectives: to know the scientific production on psychiatric nursing and mental health teaching in relation to Brazilian nursing curriculum. Methods: an Integrative Literature Review with no temporal delineation, whose data collection took place in ten Brazilian and international databases, adding to the total 35 objects of analysis. Results: a priori categories were adopted, consisting of the psychiatric nursing and mental health teaching in Brazil according to the 1923, 1949, 1962, 1972, 1994 and 2001 nursing curriculum, presented in the light of the dimensions: thought model; places of practice; methods or contents used; and profile or skills of the student. Final considerations: the study made it possible to observe psychiatric nursing and mental health teaching historical evolution, indicating that teaching transformations involved changes in curriculum, Psychiatric Reform and the way nursing undergraduate courses and schools take these determinants.

ABSTRACT Objective: Gather the concepts, theories and interventions about spirituality, its nature and functions in mental health and psychiatric nursing. Method: A literature review proceeded on February 2016. It has integrated 214 studies published until December 2015 by crossing Spirituality and Psychiatric Nursing mesh terms in databases. Results: Conceptualization about spirituality and religion, their complexity in nursing research, education, and clinical approach; their functions to human being correlated to the purpose of life, transcendental connections, and support in mental health; the professional boundaries in address to spirituality in mental health scenery, and a descriptive literature recommendations and a instruments catalog. Conclusions: Spirituality in nursing mental health and psychiatry remains a theoretical problem, and has a clinical mischaracterized approach; recently publications try to promote a human and holistic trend in the practice, as a challenge to lead the current circumstances to valid nursing bases.

Objetivo: Analisar a produção científica relativa à relactação como intervenção promotora da amamentação em mulheres que se viram privadas de amamentar os seus filhos. Método: Revisão Integrativa da Literatura. Colheita de dados realizada entre março e abril de 2020 nas bases de dados Academic Search Complete, CINAHL, MedicLatina e MEDLINE, artigos publicados entre 2015 e 2020. Resultados: Após se ter efetuado análise de conteúdo aos cinco artigos selecionados emergiram três temáticas: fatores que comprometem a lactação; fatores que contribuem para o sucesso da relactação e dificuldades no processo de relactação. Se a mulher tiver o desejo de amamentar é possível incrementar a produção de leite por um processo de relactação. A estimulação frequente da mama e a sucção do bebé, a motivação da mãe e o apoio da família e dos enfermeiros são essenciais ao sucesso desta prática, que as mulheres consideram importante, mas difícil. Conclusões: A relactação é uma intervenção, que apesar de não ser isenta de dificuldades, é eficaz na promoção da amamentação em mulheres que se viram privadas de amamentar os seus filhos. É alcançável se as mulheres estiverem motivadas e se for facultado apoio da família e dos enfermeiros.Descritores: amamentação; relactação; desmame; lactação. RELACTATION: PROMOTE BREASTFEEDING IN MOTHERS SEPARATED FROM CHILDREN DUE TO COVID-19Objective: To analyze the scientific production related to relactation as a breastfeeding intervention in women who were deprived of breastfeeding their children. Method: Integrative Literature review. Data collection performed between March and April 2020 in the databases Academic Search Complete, CINAHL, Mediclatina and MEDLINE, articles published between 2015 and 2020. Results: After content analyze of the five select articles, three themes emerged from the analysis of the articles: factors that compromise lactation; factors that contribute to relactation success and difficulties in relactation process. If woman has the desire to breastfeed it is possible to increase milk production through a relactation process. The frequent breast stimulation and the baby’s suction, the mother’s motivation and the family and nurses’ support are essential for the success of this practice, which women consider important, but hard to accomplish. Conclusion: Relactation is an intervention, not free from difficulties, but effective in promoting breastfeeding in women who have been deprived of breastfeeding their children. It is achievable if women are motivated and if support from the family and nurses is provided.Descriptors: breastfeeding; relactation; weaning; lactation. RELACTACIÓN: PROMOVER LA LACTANCIA MATERNA EN MADRES SEPARADAS DE SUS HIJOS DEBIDO A COVID-19Objetivo: Analizar la producción científica relativa a la relactación como intervención promotora de la lactancia materna en mujeres que se vieron privadas de dar el pecho a sus hijos. Método: Revisión integrativa de la literatura. Recolección de datos realizada entre marzo y abril del 2020 en las bases de datos Búsqueda Académica Completa, CINAHL, Mediclatina y MEDLINE, artículos publicados entre 2015 y 2020. Resultados: Del analisis de los articulos surgieron tres temas: factores que comprometen la lactancia, factores que contribuyen al éxito de la relactanción y dificultades en el proceso de relactación. Si la mujer tiene el deseo de dar el pecho es posible aumentar la producción de leche por un proceso de relactación. La estimulación frecuente del pecho y la succión del bebe, la motivación de la madre y el apoyo de la familia y de los enfermeros son esenciales para el éxito de esta práctica, la cual las mujeres consideran importante, pero difícil. Conclusiones: La relactación es una intervención, no exenta de dificultades, pero eficaz en la promoción de la lactancia en mujeres que han sido privadas de amamantar a sus hijos. Se puede lograr si las mujeres están motivadas y si se cuenta con el apoyo de la familia y las enfermeras.Descriptores: lactancia materna; relactación; destete; lactancia.

BACKGROUND The most crucial discussion in psychiatric hospitals is the safety of patients, especially during incidents that have the potential to cause physical harm such as those where mechanical restraints are used. AIM The goal of the project was to reduce the use of mechanical restraints by 25% within 10 weeks in two piloted medical–surgical units. METHOD A total of 60 articles were examined for relevance; out of these, the author used 30 studies that were based on observational, literature review, quantitative analysis, or clinical trial methodologies to conduct a comprehensive literature review. The author used a retrospective and descriptive design of chart review data collection to implement the project. The six core strategies framework, coupled with the creation of mental health championship role, was implemented to mitigate the problem. RESULTS This study shows that the implementation of the six core strategies and the role of a mental health champion helped reduce the use of mechanical restraints by 100%. CONCLUSION A total of 3,072 patients’ charts were reviewed in which there were three PERT (Psychiatric Emergency Response Team) activation and no mechanical restraint events, which showed a considerable quality improvement compared to the pre-implementation data collection of 37 PERT and 14 mechanical restraint events. The implications for practice and further study in the field are the involvement of more authors with similar expertise, the use of a control group for comparison, and a longer length of study duration.

RESUMONo presente estudo propõe-se a investigar a abordagem da temática de ensino de enfermagem psiquiátrica e saúde mental na produção científica da área do período compreendido entre 1980-2001. Das áreas temáticas levantadas, 13 artigos trabalham com a temática de ensino de graduação em enfermagem psiquiátrica e saúde mental, seis deles ressaltam as experiências e vivências dos alunos de graduação durante a disciplina de Enfermagem Psiquiátrica, três enfatizam a relevância da disciplina para a formação do enfermeiro e dão ênfase ao relacionamento terapêutico e quatro destacam especificamente as mudanças histórico-sociais no campo da assistência em saúde mental e suas influências no ensino na área.Descritores: Enfermagem Psiquiátrica; Educação em Enfermagem; Saúde Mental. ABSTRACTIn the present study is considered the investigation about the boarding of thematic of teaching of psychiatric and mental health nursing in the scientific production of the area of the period from 1980 to 2001. Mental health is an issue labeled as taboo and is very rarely discussed in Indonesia. This issue calls for works in order to spread mental health awareness and one of the ways is by doing persuasive communications through digital comics. The purpose of this research is to study persuasive communications about mental health through digital comics. This research was conducted using qualitative approach and case study method on an Instagram account named @petualanganmenujusesuatu. Data collection techniques used in this research were interview, observation, and literature review. The researches used Persuasive Communications, Mental Health, dan Digital Comics Theory. The results of this research indicate 3 things, the implementation of persuasive communications about mental health through digital comics have 3 types of purposes which are affective, cognitive, and conative purpose. Strategies implied are strategies in composing messages, choosing the channel, and feedback. Persuasive communications about mental health through digital comics is also influenced by the visualization of the comics itself as the media, through character depiction and color selection.Kesehatan mental adalah suatu isu yang masih dianggap tabu dan jarang dibicarakan di Indonesia. Hal ini mendorong upaya untuk menyebarkan kesadaran tentang kesehatan mental, salah satunya dengan melakukan komunikasi persuasif melalui komik digital. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komunikasi persuasif tentang kesehatan mental melalui komik digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus pada akun Instagram @petualanganmenujusesuatu. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Teori yang digunakan adalah Teori Komunikasi Persuasif, Kesehatan Mental, dan Komik Digital. Hasil penelitian terdiri atas 3 hal, yaitu pelaksanaan komunikasi persuasif tentang kesehatan mental melalui komik digital memiliki 3 tujuan secara afektif, kognitif, atau konatif. Strategi yang digunakan adalah strategi penyusunan pesan, pemilihan saluran, dan umpan balik. Selain itu, komunikasi persuasif tentang kesehatan mental juga dipengaruhi oleh visualisasi komik sebagai medianya, yaitu melalui penggambaran karakter dan pemilihan warna.

Resumo: Nos serviços de saúde mental brasileiros, nomeadamente nos Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPSs), diversas ferramentas de intervenção têm sido utilizadas. As oficinas terapêuticas se destacam como uma das principais. O presente estudo teve como objetivo, por meio do empreendimento de uma revisão da literatura, estabelecer um panorama da produção científica veiculada no formato de artigo sobre as oficinas terapêuticas no campo da saúde mental no país. Para tanto, foram consultadas as seguintes bases de dados: Periódicos Eletrônicos de Psicologia (PEPsic), Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDEnf) e Scientific Electronic Library Online-Brasil (SciELO-Brasil). As referências localizadas foram triadas a fim de viabilizar o descarte de eventuais duplicidades e então selecionadas em função do tema. O corpus de análise foi constituído por 11 referências. Observou-se que os objetivos de tais referências foram relativamente diversificados, mas a maioria delas não apresentava informações sobre o enquadre das oficinas terapêuticas que abordaram. De qualquer forma, as referências apontaram que tais ferramentas de intervenção, em especial a partir da expressão artística e do trabalho, fomentavam a interação entre os usuários, bem como o desenvolvimento de diferentes habilidades e, como consequência, forneciam subsídios para o cuidado psicossocial. Em contrapartida, em algumas referências foram veiculados indícios de que as oficinas terapêuticas pesquisadas, ao menos em parte, se afiguravam como meras “tarefas” a serem cumpridas mecanicamente pelos usuários, pois foram concebidas ou acabaram funcionando como uma espécie de passatempo. O presente estudo, assim, pode ser considerado potencialmente útil para pesquisadores e profissionais de saúde interessados no assunto.Palavras-chave: Saúde mental. Oficinas terapêuticas. Reforma Psiquiátrica.Abstract: In Brazilian mental health services, namely in the Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPSs), several intervention tools have been used. The therapeutic workshops stand out as one of the main ones. The present study aimed to establish, through a literature review, an overview of the scientific production carried out in the format of article about the therapeutic workshops in the mental health field in Brazil. The following databases were consulted: Periódicos Eletrônicos de Psicologia (PEPsic), Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDEnf) and Scientific Electronic Library Online-Brasil (SciELO-Brasil). The localized references were sorted to enable the discarding of possible duplications and then selected according to the theme. The corpus of analysis consisted of 11 references. It was found that the objectives of such references were relatively diverse, but most of them did not provide information on the frame of the therapeutic workshops they addressed. In any case, the references pointed out that such intervention tools, specially from the artistic expression and the work, fomented the interaction between the users, as well as the development of different abilities and, consequently, they provided subsidies for the psychosocial care. On the other hand, in some references, there were indications that the therapeutic workshops researched, at least in part, appeared as mere tasks to be performed mechanically by the users, because were conceived or ended up functioning as a kind of hobby. The present study, therefore, can be considered potentially useful for researchers and health professionals interested in the subject.Keywords: Mental health. Therapeutic workshops. BACKGROUND Mobile phone sensor technology has great potential in providing behavioral markers of mental health. However, this promise has not yet been brought to fruition. OBJECTIVE The objective of our study was to examine challenges involved in developing an app to extract behavioral markers of mental health from passive sensor data. METHODS Both technical challenges and acceptability of passive data collection for mental health research were assessed based on literature review and results obtained from a feasibility study. Socialise, a mobile phone app developed at the Black Dog Institute, was used to collect sensor data (Bluetooth, location, and battery status) and investigate views and experiences of a group of people with lived experience of mental health challenges (N=32). RESULTS On average, sensor data were obtained for 55% (Android) and 45% (iOS) of scheduled scans. Battery life was reduced from 21.3 hours to 18.8 hours when scanning every 5 minutes with a reduction of 2.5 hours or 12%. Despite this relatively small reduction, most participants reported that the app had a noticeable effect on their battery life. In addition to battery life, the purpose of data collection, trust in the organization that collects data, and perceived impact on privacy were identified as main factors for acceptability. CONCLUSIONS Based on the findings of the feasibility study and literature review, we recommend a commitment to open science and transparent reporting and stronger partnerships and communication with users. Sensing technology has the potential to greatly enhance the delivery and impact of mental health care. Realizing this requires all aspects of mobile phone sensor technology to be rigorously assessed.
