ABSTRACT Objective: to discuss the different impacts - technological, political, social and economic - of Graduate Program in Nursing at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, problematizing their indicators and their adequacy to the field of Nursing and Health, according to the genesis and nature of Nursing care, the Nursing science and its interfaces with other fields of knowledge. Method: a study conducted in July 2021 based on documentary sources extracted from an institutional form, for evaluating graduates and annual reports of the Program in the period between 2011 and 2020. The documentary data were submitted to descriptive analysis. Results: the technological, political, social and economic impacts and their respective indicators are presented as proposed by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Level Personnel for the evaluation of graduate programs. The evaluation of the impacts of graduate education in Nursing indicated that it represents a challenge to be faced, given the difficulties identifying quantitative and qualitative evidence allowing such verification. Conclusion: important impacts of the Program are evidenced; however, the indicators and respective criteria are questioned regarding the best adequacy and completeness to the field of Nursing and Health, according to the genesis and nature of Nursing care, the Nursing science and interfaces with the other fields of knowledge. Therefore, it is urgent to invest in studies and to propose indicators and criteria to evidence the real impact of the Graduate Programs in Nursing on society.

Educational quality determined by factors such as academic climate, physical environment and academic quality of universities are considered essential for growing numbers of international students. This study aims to reveal and analyze the experiences of international students studying at graduate education step in Turkey. To this end, it is intended to describe and analyze the language proficiency, course period and thesis period experiences of international students studying in different fields of graduate programs and their perception on how their expectations were met or their apprehension. Phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods, is used in the study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted in the study to flexibly gather data regarding the views of the participants and the differences between their experiences. Purposive sampling and snowball sampling methods were used together in forming a phase of the participant group. Interviews were conducted with 23 students from 18 different countries who are currently in Istanbul and studying in various departments. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data gathered from these interviews to examine the graduate education experience of the international students in Turkey. The educational experience of the students is primarily positive, and the students believe that they have received a high-quality education and they were provided with excellent opportunities. However, not being able to acquire academic writing skills or communicate with the professors sufficiently and the unconformity of the graduate education programs with the international educational context are some of the significant problems that were mentioned.

Intercollegiate athletic departments are complex organizations in need of individuals with specialized training and experience—credentials that aspiring practitioners have increasingly sought through graduate education. Despite the growing prevalence of graduate credentials, little is known about the motivations or choice processes of those seeking an advanced degree. Focusing on individuals enrolled in intercollegiate athletics administration graduate programs, this study employed an online survey to explore students’ motivation to: (a) pursue graduate school; and (b) choose their specific program. In addition, this study explored how these program choices aligned with their career aspirations. A mixed methods approach, framed by Social Cognitive Career Theory, found that students pursue graduate education as a form of credentialing and to gain skills; respondents cited the program’s nesting in the education department as a main factor in their choice and were purposeful in pursuing graduate education as a way to advance their career. Findings shed light on a sub-population (aspiring athletics professionals) and decision-making process (graduate program choice) that are not well understood, pointing to implications for graduate programs and athletic departments alike.

Organizing a graduate program in statistics and data science raises many questions, offering a variety of opportunities while presenting a multitude of choices. The call for graduate programs in statistics and data science is overwhelming. How does it align with other (future) study programs at the secondary and postsecondary levels? What could or should be the natural home for data science in academia? Who meets the entry criteria, and who does not? Which strategic choices inevitably play a prominent role when developing a curriculum? We share our views on the why, when, where, who and what.

Abstract Playing with peers is an important part of childhood—what children learn from interacting with one another has enormous impact on both their social and language development. Although many children naturally develop the ability to interact well with peers, some children have difficulty interacting with other children and may miss out on important learning opportunities as a result. Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) can target the peer interactions of young children on their caseload, assuming that they have the knowledge and skills with which to address them. SLP graduate programs have the opportunity to provide future SLPs with both knowledge and skills-based training. This study assessed a graduate program in which three graduate clinicians participated in a preschool program for children with communication disorders; peer interactions were targeted within the program. The students were observed and data was collected regarding their use of peer interaction facilitation strategies in the group sessions both prior to and after they participated in a direct training program regarding the use of such skills. Outcomes indicate that the direct training program resulted in a statistically significant increase in the students' use of different strategies to facilitate peer interactions among the children in the group.

Research conducted to obtain empirical evidence how the influence of independent variables of intellectual intelligence to accounting with moderating variables of emotional and spiritual intelligence. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with explanatory descriptive or explanatory research. This method is an explanatory research that proves the existence of causal relationship of independent variable (independent variable) that is intellectual intelligence; moderating variable (emotional and spiritual intelligence); and dependent variable (accounted dependent variable). Research begins by conducting library search, followed by primary data collection conducted by using questionnaires and secondary data through data analysis. And for the use of data analysis consists of descriptive analysis, classical assumption test and verification analysis with the method of Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). This study is a census study with homogeneous and limited population of 92 students, all students of Accounting Graduate Program at UNSOED. Conclusion of research result that is: (1) Intellectual intelligence have influence either positively or signifikan to accountancy. Thus intellectual intelligence can lead students to more easily understand accounting, (2) Intellectual intelligence can be strengthened by emotional intelligence on accounting both positively and significantly. (3) Spiritual intelligence can strengthen the influence of intellectual intelligence on accounting both positively and significantly.

Objective: to determine the cervical cancer epidemiological profile in Feira de Santana city, from 2000 to 2004. Methods: documental research, quantitative methods, descriptive, whose data collection were in annual reports issued by the Municipal Secretariat of Health through the Information System in Cancer of the Uterine Cervix (SISCOLO). The collection instrument was a form consolidated. Descriptive analysis was conducted using statistical tests, calculating the incidence, relative frequency and mortality rates by age. The results are presented in tables. Results: regards to Cervical Intra-epithelial Neoplasia I (CIN I) the age group between 20-39 years old had the greatest number of cases, but in relation to CIN II the age group between 20-39 years old not presented cases in 2004. In CIN III there was an increase in the percentage distribution in the age group between 20-39 years old, there was a decrease in women between 40-59 years old and over 60 years old there were cases only occurred in 2002. The hospital morbidity predominated in the age group between 40-59 years. The absolute frequency shows decrease in the number of cases of hospitalization. Deaths by cervical cancer were predominant in the age group over 60 years old. Conclusion: to know cervical cancer epidemiological variables is fundamental because it makes possible to draw actions which contribute to the women’s health promotion. This paper examines corporate social reporting (CSR) in the annual reports of companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) in Iran. Descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression techniques are used to analyse the extent of CSR disclosure and to test hypotheses regarding the relationships between CSR disclosure and four company characteristics namely size, profitability, financial leverage and industry type. Among five important themes of social disclosure (human resources, environmental performance and policies, community activities, energy consumption, and customer satisfaction and product quality) the human resources theme was found to be the most common type of disclosure made. Only the size of the disclosing company was found to be significantly related to the level of overall CSR disclosure.

The role of a head nurse in optimizing of management function in supervision of nursing care documentation at X hospital in JakartaBackground: Nursing documentation is important thing that  is indicator quality of care. Since the nursing documentation is still a poor quality, it requires a supervision by the head nurse.Purpose: The head of nursing is responsible for the direction, organization and strategic planning collaborate with nursing staffs in ensuring the quality of nursing care to achieve accurate, effective and efficient documentation and to complete supervision.Method: A pilot project using questionnaire and observation methods was conducted at difference times on two hospital units in Jakarta.Results: The descriptive analysis results showed that among 18 nurses, 4 nurses believed that nursing documentation is an important, effective and clear way to  ease their job. Hence, supervision is continuity needed to support the improvement of health care quality. The innovative projects will be applied in health care.Conclusion:  Nursing documentation must show continuity and quality of  care nursing under the control and supervision of the head nurse and EMR is used as the instrument for documentation.Keywords :  The role; Head nurse; Management; Supervision; Nursing care; DocumentationPendahuluan: Dokumentasi asuhan keperawatan adalah hal yang penting karena menjadi indikator kualitas perawatan. Penerapan dokumentasi asuhan keperawatan saat ini belum optimal sehingga membutuhkan arahan dan supervisi dari Kepala Ruang/Kepala Unit.Tujuan: Tercapainya supervisi dan keberhasilan pelaksanaan dokumentasi asuhan keperawatan yang komprehensif, berkesinambungan, efektif dan  efisien.Metode: Metode pilot project di salah satu Rumah Sakit di Jakarta dengan pengambilan data melalui  observasi dan kuestioner. Instrumen diujikan pada dua ruangan dalam  waktu yang berbeda.Hasil: Analisis deskripsi pada  sejumlah 18 perawat, 4 orang menyatakan bermanfaat, penting dan mudah dalam penerapannya. Supervisi dilakukan untuk memberikan support terhadap kelangsungan pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan yang berkesinambungan. Proyek inovasi akan ditindaklanjuti dan diaplikasikan dalam program kerja bidang pelayanan keperawatan.Simpulan: Asuhan keperawatan yang berkualitas memerlukan adanya supervisi. Sarannya penggunaan Instrumen Supervise Dokumentasi Asuhan Keperawatan akan disesuaikan dengan penggunaan pencatatan asuhan keperawatan Elektronic Medical Record/EMR

This article concludes a two-part review of graduate education in occupational therapy, with the results of a survey of 309 therapists and 68 administrators from the prairie provinces. Three areas were included in the mail questionnaire: graduate program components, potential demand, and factors likely to affect enrolment. Therapists and administrators had remarkably similar response patterns on desirable program components. Therapists expressed a need for graduate level education and administrators indicated a need for therapists with graduate degrees. Therapists indicated a variety of family and financial factors limiting their ability to enroll in graduate study. A small number of administrators indicated that assistance was available.

PurposeThe monetary valuation of cultural heritage of a selection of 16 major public, not-for-profit Australian cultural institutions is examined over a period of almost three decades (1992–2019) to understand how they have responded to the paradoxical tensions of heritage valuation for financial reporting purposes.Design/methodology/approachAccounting for cultural heritage is an intrinsically paradoxical practice; it involves a conflict of two opposite ways of attributing value: the traditional accounting and the heritage professionals (or curatorial) approaches. In analysing the annual reports and other documentary sources through qualitative content analysis, the study explores how different actors responded to the conceptual and technical contradictions posed by the monetary valuation of “heritage assets”, the accounting phraseology of accounting standards.FindingsFour phases emerge from the analysis undertaken of the empirical material, each characterised by a distinctive nature of the paradox, the institutional responses discerned and the outcomes. Although a persisting heterogeneity in the practice of accounting for cultural heritage is evident, responses by cultural institutions are shown to have minimised, so far, the negative impacts of monetary valuation in terms of commercialisation of deaccessioning decisions and distorted accountability.Originality/valueIn applying the theoretical lens of paradox theory in the context of the financial reporting of heritage, as assets, the study enhances an understanding of the challenges and responses by major public cultural institutions in a country that has led this development globally, providing insights to accounting standard setters arising from the accounting practices observed.
