"A field experiment was carried in two locations (Nasr and Eslah) in Thi Qar province during winter season (2015 – 2016). the experience included study two factors which of three concentrations of iron chelated (0-50-100 mg L-1 ) spray on leaves before flowering period , and three levels of potassium fertilizer ( 0- 50-100 K2O kg h-1 ) The experiment was designed by using randomized complete blocks design with three replication (RCBD) with three replications. Results showed that the iron chelated treatments had a significant effect on growth traits in both of Nasr and Eslah locations , the treatment of concentration of 100 mg/ L get higher values for growth traits plant height 88-85 cm and the number of tillers / plant 12-10 Tillers, area flag leaf 25.6-25.5 cm2 and yield grain 6.04-5.97 t / h in Nasr and Eslah, respectively, while potassium treatment had a significant effect on growth traits in both of locations, the treatment 100 kg K2O h -1 gave higher values for growth traits area flag leaf reached 28-27.1 cm2 and gave the highest values of the attributes of yield the components and yield grain 6.00-5.9 t / h in Nasr site and Eslah, respectively . The combination treatment (100 mg Fe with 100 kg K2O) gave the highest mean properties of the yield components, number of spikes, number of grains per spike, and grain yield compared to the control treatment"

A pot experiment was carried out in the nethouse of Soil Science Division, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Joydebpur, Gazipur during 2014-2015 through 2015-2016. The design of the experiment was factorial randomized completely block design with 4 replications. The objectives of the study were to evaluate the potential of Arbuscular mycorrhization (AM) on the germination, yield and yield attributes of lentil treated with different concentration of sodium chloride (NaCl). Five NaCl treatments (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4%) possessed NaCl level as the first factor that were treated with soils before sowing of lentil seeds overriding or pivotal pulse crop in Bangladesh. The second factor consists of mycorrhizal and non-mycorrhizal treatments. Mycorrhizal plants showed better performance in terms of germination %, yield and yield contributing characters than non-mycorrhizal plants. With increasing NaCl concentration germination %, yield and yield contributing characters in the rhizosphere soil, decreased significantly (p<0.01). Interaction effects of mycorrhizal inoculation and NaCl on germination %, growth and yield of lentil were appeared to be statistically non-significant. The highest germination (96.25% in 2014-2015 and 92.50% in 2015-2016), seed yield (6.45 g pot-1 in 2014-2015 and 5.89 g pot-1 in 2015-2016), and stover yield (9.55 g pot-1 in 2014-2015 and 8.58 g pot-1 in 2015-2016) was found in NaCl 0% + AM treatment. The lowest germination %, seed yield and stover yield was found in NaCl 4% treatment. Mycorrhizal inoculation increased seed yield on an average by 31.85% during 2014-2015 and 63.71% during 2015-2016, and increased stover yield on an average by 48.56% during 2014-2015 and 63.55% during 2015-2016 over non-mycorrhizal inoculation. Therefore, it can be concluded that mycorrhizal inoculation increases germination %, growth and yield of lentil over non-mycorrhizal inoculation. The Agriculturists 2017; 15(1) 156-169

A field experiment was carried out at Agronomy Farm of Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Dumki, Patuakhali, from December 2011 to March 2012, to study the effects of nutrient foliar spray on soybean growth, yield and protein content. Soybean variety Shohag was used as the test crop. N, NPK, NPKS and NPKMg were sprayed and applied in the soil at vegetative and pod filling stages. Soil fertilizations were done as recommended dose, and no soil and foliar fertilization were considered as control. Plants were sprayed at the rate of 100 mg/L of water corresponding to each nutrient. The experimental design was a split plot with three replications. Result indicated that nutrient foliar spray, either singly or in combination, enhanced the growth and yield of the soybean as well as protein content in soybean seed, at the two growth stages compared to soil fertilization. However, spraying nutrients during pod filling stage was better than vegetative spraying stage in all characters studied. The highest amount of protein content in soybean seed and grain yield were obtained by spraying NPKMg.Bangladesh Agron. J. 2014, 17(1): 67-72
