The agricultural sector is of great importance to fulfill food resources need of the country. Precision Agriculture (PA) with Internet of Things and Wireless Sensor Network is a transformation from traditional farming to smart farming. Wireless sensor networks and Internet of Things are considered as drivers to develop system which can change agriculture sector from manual to automatic. Advancement in the technology have pushed the growth of precision agriculture to very large extent despite of several challenges faced in this area. System for precision agriculture relies on hardware components mainly wireless sensors which act as a source for gathering of real time data. Depending upon the real time date retrieved by sensors automation in agriculture is done by adopting decision-based system. With Precision agriculture productivity is optimized by maintaining sustaniability as crop receives what is acutual requirement on the basis of new techniques and software platforms. This review article includes Inernet of Things (IoT), Wireless Sensors, Wireless communication and challenges faced in this area.

The huge number of items associated with web is known as the internet of things. It is associated with worldwide data consisting of various components and different types of gadgets, sensors, and software, and a large variety of other instruments. A large number of applications that are required in the field of agriculture should implement methods that should be realistic and reliable. Precision agriculture practices in farming are more efficient than traditional farming techniques. Precision farming simultaneously analyzes data along with generating it by the use of sensors. The application areas include tracking of farm vehicles, monitoring of the livestock, observation of field, and monitoring of storage. This type of system is already being accepted and adopted in many countries. The modern method of smart farming has started utilizing the IoT for better and faster yield of crops. This chapter gives a review of the various IoT techniques used in smart farming.

A wireless sensor network is a network that can design a self-organizing structure and provides effective support for several protocols such as routing, locating, discovering services, etc. It is composed of several nodes called sensors grouped together into a network to communicate with each other and with the base stations. Nowadays, the use of Wireless sensor networks increased considerably. It can collect physical data and transform it into a digital values in real-time to monitor in a continuous manner different disaster like flood. However, due to various factors that can affect the wireless sensor networks namely, environmental, manufacturing errors hardware and software problems etc... It is necessary to carefully select and filter the data from the wireless sensors since we are providing a decision support system for flood forecasting and warning. In this paper, we presents an intelligent Pre-Processing model of real-time flood forecasting and warning for data classification and aggregation. The proposed model consists on several stages to monitor the wireless sensors and its proper functioning, to provide the most appropriate data received from the wireless sensor networks in order to guarantee the best accuracy in terms of real-time data and to generate a historical data to be used in the further flood forecasting.

Agriculture is becoming an important growing sector throughout the world due to increasing population. Major challenge in agriculture sector is to improve farm productivity and quality of farming without continuous manual monitoring to meet the rapidly growing demand for food. Apart from increasing population, the climate change is also a big concern in agricultural sector. Thus, rather than performing outdoor irrigation; here a small indoor farming method is performed based on Internet of Things. The smart farming method enables the collection of data and automated farming technique.

In recent times, where technology is playing major role in all the aspects of our life ,farming which is majorly affected by various environmental fators need enhanced ways in order to improve the yeild of crops. In this paper we have discussed the use of IoT technology to help the farmers detect the favourable envornmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, soil moisture and water level with the help of various sensor implemntation . The system will compare the information collected from hardware module with the standard information stored for each seed in database and provide details of the seeds that will be appropriate to be cultivated under the environmental conditions that are obtained from the wireless sensors. Nowadays, the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) along with Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) with their low-cost sensors and new opportunities provide a more precise, site-specific, and sustainable agriculture in the context of Smart Farming.

As one of the freshest technologies nowadays, the development of Internet of Things is attracting more and more concerns. Internet of Things is able to connect all the items to Internet via information technology such as RFID and Wireless Sensor Network, in order to realize intelligent identification and management. It is supposed in Internet of Things environments, satisfactory services can be provided through any devices or any networks, whenever it is demanded. It makes that not only PC device but also other small devices with intelligence can be connected to the same network. As a result, It is much more convenient for people to obtain real-time information and then to take corresponding actions.

Abstract: Technological advancements such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are helping to boost the global agricultural sector as it is expected to grow by around seventy percent in the next two decades. There are sensor-based systems in place to keep track of the plants and the surrounding environment. This technology allows farmers to watch and control farm operations from afar, but it has a few limitations. For farmers, these technologies are prohibitively expensive and demand a high level of technological competence. Besides, Climate change has a significant impact on crops because increased temperatures and changes in precipitation patterns increase the likelihood of disease outbreaks, resulting in crop losses and potentially irreversible plant destruction. Because of recent advancements in IoT and Cloud Computing, new applications built on highly innovative and scalable service platforms are now being developed. The use of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions has enormous promise for improving the quality and safety of agricultural products. Precision farming's telemonitoring system relies heavily on Internet of Things (IoT) platforms; therefore, this article quickly reviews the most common IoT platforms used in precision agriculture, highlighting both their key benefits and drawbacks

Aiming at the management problem of real-time data created while intelligent solar street lamps working, sectional data acquisition and control system based on internet of things is introduced in the paper. Communication protocol with unified form and flexible function is designed in the system, and communication address is composed of sectional address and subsection address. Three-level data structure is built in the polling algorithm to trace real-time state of lamps and to detect malfunction in time, which is suitable for sectional lamps management characteristics. The system reflects necessary statistic data and exception information to remote control centre through GPRS to short interval expend on transmission and procession and save network flow and system energy. The result shows the system brings improved management affection and accords with the idea of energy-saving and environmental protection.
