Many autonomous ship projects have reflected the increasing interest in incorporating the concept of autonomy into the maritime transportation sector. However, autonomy is not a silver bullet, as exemplified by many incidents in the past involving human and machine interaction; rather it introduces new Human Factor (HF) challenges. These challenges are especially critical for Engine Room Monitoring (ERM) in Shore Control Centre (SCCs) due to the system’s complexity and the absence of human senses in the decision-making process. A transparent system is one of the potential solutions, providing a rationale behind its suggestion. However, diverse implementations of transparency schemes have resulted in prevalent inconsistencies in its effects. This literature review paper investigates 17 transparency studies published over the last eight years to identify (a) different approaches to developing transparent systems, (b) the effects of transparency on key HFs, and (c) the effects of information presentation methods and uncertainty information. The findings suggest that the explicit presentation of information could strengthen the benefits of the transparent system and could be promising for performance improvements in ERM tasks in the SCC.

Abstract We characterised accidental ingestion of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and non-opioid analgesics in children aged 0–5 years between 2009 and 2019 by analysing records of telephone consultations with the Croatian Poison Control Centre (CPCC) and cases treated at the Children’s Hospital Zagreb (CHZ). Among the total of 466 identified cases (411 from CPPCC records and 55 from CHS hospital records), the most frequently ingested drugs were ibuprofen (47 %), paracetamol (20 %), ketoprofen (15 %), and diclofenac (11 %). In 94 % of the cases unsupervised children ingested the drug left within their reach. The remaining 6 % were dosing errors by parents or caregivers and involved liquid formulations as a rule. Our findings can serve as real-life examples informing preventive measures.

Abstract: Wise city management, good road management is one of the most important things. Traffic congestion can be effectively controlled, provided that the number of vehicles passing through a traffic junction can be determined in advance. The proposed approach introduces a framework, which has the potential to continuously transmit traffic and generate alarms in the event of a major traffic congestion at the Sangli control station or in similar Indian cities. The number of vehicles passing through the area well before the required road junction can be estimated using the help of image processing techniques. In addition, monitoring information can be shared with a remote control centre near the city via the Internet. The tests performed show the effectiveness of this Internet-based technology (IoT) technology. This paper lays out the role of the first centre in the world for the integration into the electrical grid of electricity coming from renewable energy (the Spanish acronym for which is CECRE (Centro de Control de Energías Renovables; Control Centre for Renewable Energies)) and the industrial development of large energy suppliers and wind turbine manufacturers in Spain. These two initiatives enabled the development of one of the first integrated markets for this type of energy source. The key contributions were the development of two software programs (wind management and management of solar light incidence), their visual implementation, and centralized digital control. An economic and business history approach is used to show the rise and relative failure of the Spanish wind industry during the period 2004–2015, when Spain became the fourth country after China, the US, and Germany in terms of installed capacity of renewable energy and, in relative terms, the second country after Denmark. This study is unique in that it provides an integrated vision of the reasons for the relative fall of Spain in the world ranking of wind energy producers. The methodology of the economic analysis of industrial policies makes it possible to explain the fall in the relative importance of Spain in the international panorama of wind farms

The safety of fisherman has become a big issue in Tamil Nādu because of fishermen invading the Sri Lankan border. This initiative primarily seeks to save fishermen's lives by tracking the location of their boats and alerting them to the boundary limit, which is then sent to the control centre. A pulse detector is also included, which aids in the monitoring of the fishermen's health. The concept is built around an embedded system that protects fisherman by alerting them to the country's border via a wireless sensor network (WSN) and a global mobile communication system (GSM). Each zone in the region has a different function, but they all have four things in common: they're all in the same general area. While fishing, if the fisherman ignores or fails to see the display, the alarm will go off, alerting him and slowing down the boat as it gets close to the forbidden zone. It includes a pulse oximeter as well; in case the user has any health issues. This information is sent to the command centre.

Abstract Background Severe acute lower respiratory infection (SARI) is one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality, especially in developing countries. There is a large global variation in the epidemiology, clinical management and outcomes, including the mortality Aim of the study: To describe the demographic features, Province of residence, occupation and outcomes of patients SARI. Patients and Methods: A retrospective study of 1009 patients involved in the study, between the first of January 2019 and twenty eight of December 2019. From the medical records in Communicable Diseases Control Centre (CDC) office in Baghdad. Results: 1009 patients, 406 with positive for influenza A, and 603 with negative for influenza, the highest incidence was in the age group between 0-10 years for both positive (19.7%) and negative (25.0%) influenza A. Male higher (56.7%) than female in influenza A group, but female is higher (50.4%) in those with negative influenza group. The incidence in Baghdad is higher than other governments for both groups. Freelance is higher than other occupations (31.8%) for positive and housewife (32.2%) for negative influenza A. Death was 6.4% for positive and 1.5% for negative influenza A, the higher mortality rate was in male in age group 0-10 year for both positive (30.8%) and negative (18.9%)influenza A. Conclusion: influenza A is an important cause of SARI, childhood is a high risk for SARI who have high mortality rate especially in male. Freelance and housewife have high occupation risk for SARI. Baghdad has the higher rate than other governments for SARI In Iraq.
