To optimize the management of infertile women the estimation of efficacy of endoscopic methods of treatment (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy) in this category of patients was undertaken. With the method of retrospective analysis clinico- laboratory and endoscopic examination of2785 sterile pairs was carried out. The results of the study showed that endoscopic methods are not only the most important stage of diagnostics but also the first pathogenetically substantiated stage in treating female infertility. It became clear that half of the patients demonstrated from 2 till 5 factors in pathogenesis of reproductive function abnormalities that brings on the necessity of elaboratingthe algorithm of treatingparticular patients considering the disturbances revealed. So, to increase the effectiveness of treating the patients in question, distinct standards of medical care should be put into practice.

Abstract Objectives Infertility has disastrous consequences, particularly for women. Causes of infertility in developed countries have been investigated but there is a significant lack of data among Indian female population. The aim of the present study was to analyze the causes and the proportion of the individual factors contributing to infertility, considering the age factor. Methods The data of 204 infertile women (18–45 years) were collected from the files in tertiary care hospitals. Causes and age of infertile women were grouped. The prevalence of each cause was evaluated. Data analysis was done using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) version 17.0. Results Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) was the most common (14.71%) cause of female infertility. Ovulatory dysfunctions (25.55%) were the foremost cause in primary infertility, whereas in secondary infertility, uterine factors (26.86%) were most common. The incidence of primary and secondary infertility was more evident in patients who were more than 30 years of age. Conclusions Causes of infertility vary according to the age. The causes of female infertility were unexplained infertility, ovulatory disorders and uterine factors most commonly affecting women at ≤30 years.

Background: Isolated laryngeal pemphigus vulgaris (LPV) is rare; however, early diagnosis is crucial in determining its course and prognosis. This paper aims to describe mucosal vascular changes typical for LPV using advanced endoscopic methods, which include Narrow Band Imaging (NBI), IMAGE1-S video-endoscopy and enhanced contact endoscopy (ECE). Materials and Methods: Retrospective analysis of all laryngeal mucosal lesion examined using advanced endoscopic methods during 2018–2020 at tertiary hospital was performed. Results: Videolaryngoscopy examination records of 278 patients with laryngeal mucosal lesions were analyzed; three of them were diagnosed with LPV. Epithelial vascularization of LPV included specific pattern. Intraepithelial papillary capillary loops were symmetrically stratified and were organized into “contour-like lines”. This specific vascularization associated with LPV were different from other laryngeal mucosal pathologies. Conclusions: Using advanced endoscopic methods supports early diagnosis of LPV and accelerate the diagnosis and treatment.

Regardless of what both patients and medical professionals might think, nowadays there is no free medicine. The need of changing the pattern is emphasized and people should become more responsible for their own health. The aim is to find a connection between the trust in GPs, prophylactic check-ups, new methods of treatment and the willingness of patients to pay for the received medical services. Material and Method: A questionnaire was prepared for the purposes of the study. The methods utilized were a direct individual anonymous questionnaire, statistical – descriptive, analytical (Chi-square). The answers were examined and statistically processed according to age, gender and education level of the participants. Results: 1. The results regarding the trust in GP is very unconvincing – only 14,5 % believe in their GP. 2. The percentage of believers in prophylactic check-ups is high - 57,9%.  3.The percentage of those who believe in the new methods and means for treatment is high, over 80%, while no difference is found with respect to the patients’ education level. 4. The patients often (86%) pay for the treatment of a specialist. 5. People with higher education more readily pay for medical care. Conclusions: 1. The lack of trust in GP combined with the strong belief in prophylactic check - ups and the new methods for diagnostic and treatment of diseases lead to higher expectations of patients towards the medical services and their readiness to pay for these services. 2. The patients indicate readiness to pay for medical services which is a part of the patients’ readiness to take care for their own health.

Since childhood, all of us are familiar with the Vietnamese balm "Golden Star", which at one time was used to treat literally everything, from headaches to inflammation at the site of an insect bite. Meanwhile, Vietnamese medicine, which has been forming for centuries, is distinguished by this approach - a minimum of surgical interventions, a maximum use of natural components: plants, mushrooms, extracts of animal origin, as well as the widespread use of acupuncture, moxibustion, various types of massage, manual therapy. In Vietnam, the achievements of traditional medicine are closely intertwined with modern methods, and at the same time, about 30% of cases of medical care are accounted for non-traditional methods of treatment. It should be noted that classes in alternative medicine are included in the compulsory curriculum in medical higher educational institutions.

OBJECTIVE. The authors investigated pulmonary-pleural complications of pancreatitis and evaluated results of CT examination in diagnostics and possibility of low invasive surgery in treatment of pancreaticogenic pleurisy. MATERIAL AND METHODS. A retrospective analysis was made of 156 medical histories of patients with acute pancreatitis and their results. An ultrasound examinations of the chest and CT scan were applied in order to determine lung tissue condition and presence of fluid in pleural cavities. RESULTS. The application of CT in diagnostics of pulmonary-pleural complications allowed doctors to identify an effusion in pleural cavities in 3,5-50 % patients with acute pancreatitis. The number and localization of effusions were defined more precisely. CONCLUSIONS. Mini-invasive procedures (puncture, videothoracoscopy) with examination of exudate on amylase activity and biopsy of pleura determined the causes of pleuritis. This was effective in pleritis elimination against a background of different methods of treatment of pancreatitis.
