The article is written in the form of a survey lecture highlighting the modern views of scientists on the phenomenon of anhedonia. A comparative analysis of the traditional psychiatric view of anhedonia with the phenomenological one is carried out. The specificity of anhedonia as a psychopathological symptom and as a psychological phenomenon is shown, as well as the features of the manifestation of anhedonia in neurological diseases. For practicing psychiatrists, the aspect of differentiation of anhedonia may be important, allowing one to choose the most adequate ways of correcting it between psychotherapeutic interventions, prescribing antidepressants with a proven anti-anhedonic effect or atypical antipsychotics.

The theses reveal the problem of the connection between psychology and linguistics on the basis of translation activities. The role of the human factor of a translator is revealed, and the bonds between the type of translation and the characteristics of the person who does it is established For this purpose, a psycholinguistic experiment was carried out with the participation of 50 people to demonstrate the dependence of the psychological characteristics of the translator and the quality of the translated text using comparative analysis of translation. The data has confirmed the hypothesis about psychological phenomenon of translation.

Viruses of the genus Roseolovirus belong to the subfamily Betaherpesvirinae, family Herpesviridae. Roseoloviruses have been studied in humans, mice and pigs, but they are likely also present in other species. This is the first comparative analysis of roseoloviruses in humans and animals. The human roseoloviruses human herpesvirus 6A (HHV-6A), 6B (HHV-6B), and 7 (HHV-7) are relatively well characterized. In contrast, little is known about the murine roseolovirus (MRV), also known as murine thymic virus (MTV) or murine thymic lymphotrophic virus (MTLV), and the porcine roseolovirus (PRV), initially incorrectly named porcine cytomegalovirus (PCMV). Human roseoloviruses have gained attention because they can cause severe diseases including encephalitis in immunocompromised transplant and AIDS patients and febrile seizures in infants. They have been linked to a number of neurological diseases in the immunocompetent including multiple sclerosis (MS) and Alzheimer’s. However, to prove the causality in the latter disease associations is challenging due to the high prevalence of these viruses in the human population. PCMV/PRV has attracted attention because it may be transmitted and pose a risk in xenotransplantation, e.g., the transplantation of pig organs into humans. Most importantly, all roseoloviruses are immunosuppressive, the humoral and cellular immune responses against these viruses are not well studied and vaccines as well as effective antivirals are not available.

The research compares perfectionism as a personal quality and its value-semantic barriers during the acquisition of the first professional skills in order to provide psychological support for social adaptation. It is argued that timely diagnosis of such condition can clarify the necessary psychotherapeutic interventions. A program of point studies to present new empirical data and formulate new relationships between structural and nuclear characteristics of the individual was formalized. The classical quasi-experimental approach of D. Campbell was used for analysis. The achieved results can help to form a more critical scientific view on the studied problem.

Following Minkowska's psychological phenomenological approach, a comparative analysis of some poems of Antonio Machado and Constantine Cavafy was carried out. This phenomenological analysis identifies two styles of mental functioning - sensorial and rational. The sensorial style is characterized by adhesiveness - adhesiveness to all that has life, to concrete experience, to surroundings, and to action. The rational style is dominated by abstraction and symbolic thinking, isolation and distance, immobilization and splitting, and less vital contact with reality. A phenomenological comparative analysis of some of Machado and Cavafy poems reveals Machado as a sensorial and impressionistic poet and Cavafy as a poet of isolation and impersonality abstraction.
