Penny Beile is associate director for research, education, and engagement at the University of Central Florida, a position she has held since 2013. Prior to this, Beile served as head of the Curriculum Materials Center and interim head of reference services at the University of Central Florida (1998–2013), as head of education resources and social sciences reference librarian at Louisiana State University (1994–98), and as social sciences reference librarian at Miami (OH) University (1992–94).Karen Munro is associate dean of libraries, learning, and research services at Simon Fraser University, a position she has held since 2017. Prior to this, Munro served as head of the Portland Library and Learning Commons at the University of Oregon (2008–17), as e-learning librarian at the University of California-Berkeley (2005–08), and as literature librarian at the University of Oregon (2002–05).

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the perception of 2017 Geography Education Department students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Medan State University, on the implementation of online-based examinations in the Statistics course. This research is a descriptive study, with the population being all students of the 2017 Geography Education Department, Medan State University. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique, where the sample in this study were all C class students of the 2017 Geography Education Department, Faculty of Social Sciences, Medan State University, totaling 26 students. Data collection techniques through the distribution of questionnaires (questionnaires) to respondents, then the data were analyzed through several stages, namely editing, coding, scoring, and measuring perceptions with the interval scale method, the mean value, mean, median, mode, and standard deviation. The results of this study are to show that the perception of Class C students of the Department of Geography Education on the implementation of online-based exams in the Statistics subject is good or has a positive value.Keywords: Perception, online exams, and statistics  AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi Angkatan 2017 Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Medan terhadap pelaksanaan ujian berbasis online pada mata kuliah Statistik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan populasi adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi Angkatan 2017 Universitas Negeri Medan. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dimana sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa kelas C Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi Angkatan 2017 Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Medan sebanyak 26 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan melalui penyebaran kuesioner (angket) kepada responden, kemudian data dianalisis melalui beberapa tahap yaitu editing, coding, scoring, dan pengukuran persepsi dengan metode skala interval, nilai rata-rata (mean), median, modus, dan standar deviasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah menunjukkan bahwasanya persepsi mahasiswa kelas C Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi terhadap pelaksanaan ujian berbasis online pada mata kuliah Statistik adalah baik atau bernilai positif.Kata Kunci: Persepsi, ujian online, dan statistik

The article is dedicated to the memory of Mikhail Konstantinovich Treushnikov, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Scientist, Head of the Department of Civil Procedure of the Law Faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. The article analyzes the methodology of teaching civil procedure, focuses on the methodology of lecturing, seminars, and game processes. Mikhail Konstantinovich paid great attention to the methodology of teaching civil procedure. The author of the article offers a study of the section “Methods of Teaching Law” from the book “Creative Search in the Science of Civil Procedure Law” by M.K. Treushnikov published in 2020. This section presents methodological recommendations on how to prepare and give lectures for newly elected judges at the republican training courses for legal officers on two subjects: “Preparation of civil cases for trial is a mandatory stage of the process”, “Types of evidence in civil proceedings”. The other two articles in this section are devoted to different issues. One is devoted to the methodology of teaching law in non-law universities (on the example of Moscow State University), the other is written on the basis of a speech “Traditions and Innovations in Legal Education” at the conference meeting of the heads of the departments of social sciences of the Lomonosov Moscow State University on 16 February 2007 and shows the role of departments in solving the problems of legal education.

Professor Liu Xingwu of the Institute of Nationality Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing, China was made an Honorary Fellow of SfAA during the 1986 annual meeting in Reno. He returned to China in September following a year at Oregon State University as visiting Fulbright professor in the Anthropology Department.

E-Learning method influences the effectiveness of lectures at Fakulty of Social Sciences, Padang State University. E-Learning variable has positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of lectures at Faculty Social Sciences, Padang States University aggregate 66.7%. Based data of respondents in Faculty of Social Sciences there are as many 6 majors, that is the division of geography, education civics, administration public, sociology and Islami education . The data of the majority of respondents were 50 men while woman were 46 people. So the total respondents were 96 people. Therefore the result of the E-Learning implementation variable show that the E-Learning variable is the good category.

The aim of this article is to present the project of a contrastive Polish-German and Russian-German grammar, which arose as a result of the cooperation between Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. The idea of a unilateral grammar which is based on the categories of the mother tongue of the learner and is aimed at the foreign language to be learned, is designed as a suitable measure within the framework of error prevention. The grammar contains selected grammatical categories that are significant sources of errors for native Slavic speakers
