Has successfully created the INoSIT learning paradigm to increase students' science literacy competency. This design aims to integrate information and communication technology (ICT) with inquiry and nature of science (NoS) models to teach scientific literacy to junior high school students using a multi-representation method. The BSCS 5E model (Involvement of Biological Science Curriculum Study, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, and Evaluation) and the IBL model (Investigation-based learning) have many phases whose implementation requires many processes. So, the INoSIT model is designed to simplify multiple phases or sub-phases. As a result, IBL (inquiry-based learning) is ineffective and inefficient in terms of learning time. It is also challenging to teach scientific literacy of abstract concepts using this method. The study employs a descriptive analysis method in conjunction with a literature review pattern.  The INoSIT model with the syntax Eliciting, Hypothesis, Testing Hypothesis, Elucidation, and Reflection was created from the results of the investigation of the weaknesses of the BSCS 5E (Biological Science Curriculum Study Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, and Evaluation) and the IBL (Inquiry-based learning) models. To construct students' knowledge of literacy and the study is anticipated to contribute to creativity, originality, and the development of a proclivity for inquiry and research

Mathematics education is closely related to every human being's everyday life, one of which is counting. Mathematics education also needs to be taught to students to be more disciplined, develop patterns of thinking from the usual to more than before, and read the problems faced and find solutions. This study aims to describe the students' scientific literacy based on HOTS according to the criteria of high, medium, and low-grade VII MTs Sarji Ar-Rasyid for the 2019/2020 academic year. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. This study's subjects were three class VII students of MTs Sarji Ar-Rasyid based on high, medium, and low HOTS criteria. Data collection techniques were observation, HOTS test, mathematical literacy test, interviews, and documentation. The results of the Student Matematic Literacy analysis based on HOTS with high, medium, and low criteria showed different results. In research subjects with high criteria and moderate criteria have met the indicators of mathematical literacy, namely, expressing mathematical ideas orally and in writing, combining personal experiences related to mathematical problems, and utilizing the tools needed. Simultaneously, the research subjects with low criteria have not met the indicators of mathematical literacy by looking at the unsatisfactory results of the mathematics literacy test.

Burhān al-Dīn al-Zarnūjī in his treatise Ta'līm al-Muta'allim Ṭorīq al-Ta'allum proposed that the academic achievement has six things dependency: ingenious acumen, fervent desire, patience, sufficent sustenance, guidance of a teacher, and length of time. In other side, Paul Stoltz in his book Adversity Quotient: Turning Obstacles Into Opportunities coined adversity quotient term as a score that measures the ability of a person to deal with adversities in his or her life. Hence, adversity quotient is commonly known as the science of patience. Based on this perspective, we was empirically tested students scientific literacy through correlational research. In particular, first adversity quotient was measured with Adversity Response Profile (ARP) includes four dimensions that are characterized as control, ownership, reach, and endurance. Second, scientific literacy was tested with Scientific Literacy Test (SLT) that focused on three competencies. Third, we used Pearson r to elaborate correlation of scientific literacy with adversity quotient. The participants of the study were 50 students in Kabupaten Kudus choosen by purposive sampling technique. The findings suggest that it is important to facilitate students’ adversity quotient to guide them on achieving scientific literacy.
