Antonio de Torquemada nos ofrece en su obra Olivante de Laura las alusiones a prendas propias de los libros de caballerías; sin embargo, aporta una novedad frente a otras de su género pues la trama cuestiona la validez del vestido como elemento marcador de jerarquía. La noción medieval de «cada uno según su estado» se convierte así en objeto de debate por parte de los propios personajes. El héroe viste con ropas no acordes con su estatus para poder acercarse a su amada, al igual que hacían las gentes dela época para poder conseguir sus fines. A partir de este hecho, Torquemada muestra sutilmente los cambios que la sociedad está sufriendo y cómo se hace necesario establecer en vez del vestido, otro elemento más eficaz que pueda representar las jerarquías sociales, como pudiera ser el linaje o la sangre.Antonio de Torquemada displays in Olivante de Laura the typical references to clothing and textiles used in other chivalric books. However, he innovates as he questions the capacity for dress to convey hierarchy. The medieval notion of dressing «according to one´s status» becomes now the central topic for debate about which the main characters discuss. Following the Renaissance trend, the hero disguiseshimself as a shepherd in order to approach his loved one. His behavior is a reflection of the times, when people also wear clothes not appropriate to their status. It is from here that Torquemada subtly shows the way society is changing and claims for a new and more effective method to determine and measure hierarchy. Clothing will no longer be valid, he then proposes linage.

Abstract Education is the way to prepare the next generation with excellence and competitiveness and Islamic education is no exception. Islamic education, which aims to form the perfect man (insan kamil), is faced with complicated problems of globalization era characterized by the transformation of information. Islam must dominate the quality of education, to be both resistant and flexible with the times. To form a solid Islamic education takes various steps. Reconstruction of the essence and urgency of Islamic education is a way to drown out the dichotomy of science, since all sciences, according to Islam, comes from one authority. The concept of pluralism education should be done so that Muslims are not conflicted in the belief monopolistic practices. By understanding and accepting diversity, the nature of tolerance and inclusivity have been more mature so that Muslims are able to exchange thoughts for the future progress. The term "reconstruction" in this paper indicates that there has been existing paradigm used in Islamic education. However, this paradigm must now be designed or renewed so that Islamic education is able to build a democratic, religious, innovative, and ready person to face the challenges of the transformation of great and rapid information. Tak terkecuali bagi pendidikan Islam. Pendidikan Islam yang bertujuan untuk menbentuk insan kamil dihadapkan pada permasalahan pelik akan derasnya globalisasi yang ditandai dengan era transformasi informasi. Mutu pendidikan Islam harus mendominasi, agar bersifat resisten dan fleksibel dengan perkembangan zaman. Untuk membentuk pendidikan Islam yang kokoh diperlukan berbagai macam langkah. Rekonstruksi essensi dan urgensitas pendidikan Islam merupakan cara untuk meredam dikotomi ilmu, karena pada hakikatnya semua ilmu menurut Islam bersumber dari satu otoritas. Pendidikan yang berwawasan pluralisme perlu dilakukan agar umat Islam tidak terbentur dalam praktik monopoli keyakinan. Dengan memahami dan menerima keberagaman, maka sifat toleransi dan inklusif semakin matang sehingga umat Islam mampu melakukan tukar pikiran demi kemajuan bersama. Term “rekonstruksi” di dalam paper ini mengindikasikan bahwa sebelumnya telah ada paradigma yang digunakan dalam pendidikan Islam. Hanya saja, paradigma tersebut kini harus dirancang atau diperbaharui kembali agar pendidikan Islam mampu membangun masyarakat yang demokratis, religius, inovatif, dan siap untuk menghadapi tantangan transformasi informasi yang begitu hebat dan pesat.   Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Islam, Essensi dan Urgensitas Pendidikan Islam, Transformasi Informasi, Pendidikan Islam dan Transformasi Informasi

Responding to postmodernity as one of the “signs of the times”, Christians will have to carry out a balancing act between commitment to their own convictions and openness to those of others. This has implication for five areas of Christian theology and praxis. In theological method, we must recognise that all our beliefs are symbols that tell us something but never everything about God, self, world. In christology, we understand and follow Christ as the Way that is open to other Ways. The Church will be seen as a community that seeks a Reign of God that will always be more than what we now know of it. Ethics will be based on the principles and practice of non-violence: full commitment to moral convictions joined with genuine respect and compassion toward the convictions of others. Such a theology will need to be rooted in a spirituality in which we are “absolutely” committed to truths that we recognise are always “relative” - a truly eschatological spirituality that is always “on the way”.

This study aims to understand the experience of adolescents with cancer, family and the health team regarding death in the healthcare context, in the light of Edgar Morin's proposed theoretical framework of complexity. Participants were 12 adolescents, 14 relatives and 25 health professionals. The interview was used for data collection. The discussion of data was guided by the dialogic life-death in the context of care to adolescents with cancer. It was observed that the singularity in the way the adolescent experiences time and faces death and the possibility that the family will lose a loved one may not be in accordance with the care the health team offers, considering structural, organizational and affective aspects. It is not enough for the team just to rationally make choices on the use of diagnostic-therapeutic devices, in line with predefined moments in the disease. Instead, a contextualized and sensitive understanding of each situation is needed.

Two conferences of some significance took place shortly before the First World War: the World Missionary Conference at Edinburgh in 1910, and the Kikuyu Conference, held at a Church of Scotland mission station at an out-of-the-way place in East Africa in 1913. In an Ecumenical Age, the fame of the former is likely to endure, the notoriety of the latter to be forgotten. Yet it was the controversy raised by the second conference which caused Lord Morley to remark that the ‘cacophonous’ name of Kikuyu might one day rival in fame that of Trent. Another grand claim was made for Kikuyu by the Bishop of Zanzibar—one with which The Times agreed—that ‘there has not been a conference of such importance to the life of the Ecclesia Anglicana since the Reformation’.

In geophysical prospecting area, the issue how to obtain high precision and low scale geomagnetic charts has been a research focus all the times. In this article, the application based on normal Kriging method can be interpolation proved. Through interpolation and evaluation for the original geomagnetic grid based on Kriging algorithm, the new geomagnetic grid can be estimated by the way of data's transitivity. After that, the geomagnetic chart with high precision and low scale can finally be drawn. At the same time, its feasibility upon this sort of method has been verified.

<p align="justify">With the development of the times, costume show has become a common art form. As the core of the fashion show, the fashion model not only shows the characteristics of the clothing itself, but also represents the fashion trend. There are also many categories of clothing models, depending on the style of clothing. As an art show, clothing models need to present the intrinsic qualities and perfect external image. Beautiful appearance is not enough just for models. If models don't have the right body language to show the unique temperament vividly, the clothing models will not have new attainments in clothing for the performing arts. In view of this situation, this paper fully discusses the necessity of the body language of the fashion model in the fashion show and the way of personalized emotion expression.</p>

As the Journal of Neurosurgery (JNS) enters its 76th year of publication, its role as a principal repository of the neurosurgical body of knowledge continues to rise. Following in the steps of earlier journals in other disciplines, the JNS was founded to help provide experts in the field of neurological surgery a forum to present and interpret the important data that have shaped the way the field is practiced around the world. Though not exclusive in its mission, the “White Journal” innovated the management as well as the delivery of information and has served as an example for neurosurgical journals born thereafter.As with all events, the foundational elements of the JNS are centered on the needs of the times. An understanding of the precipitating events and the individuals instrumental in its genesis and subsequent maturation brings to light the JNS’s main focus: to be the principal journal for the field.

The article focuses on the issue of self-identity search in the novels of two American authors such as David Ebersghoff with his “The Danish Girl” (2000) and Jeoffrey Eugenides with his “Middlesex” (2002). Identity transformation being one of the main categories of our research makes the process of identity shift together with the influence of space travels and gender blurring on it more vivid. This article logically continues a previously started research of the self-identity issue in American fiction. The identity process is a remarkable trait of social and cultural life of all the times and is still crucial for national and family identification. As a consequence another problem arises that is differentiation between the categories of gender and sex as well as the issue of self appreciation within your family and certain location / community. Yi-Fu Tuan’s space and place theory from the perspective of experience facilitates the approach to the analysis of body and space relationnship in the novels and creates a smooth background for transition from space and body issues into body and gender field. J. Butler’s gender theory together with H. Urbach’s theory of gender and space order serve the basis for the detailed investigation of various somatic codes’ functioning and interaction. The analysis has shown the way the so-called identificational chain fluctuates both in the somatic and spacial spheres and the way these spheres interact. As a result the main protagonists Einar Wegener and Cal Stephanidis’ gender roles together with the identity change to such an extent that they both come to understanding of being trapped in their body. And it’s important to say that the process of the identity fluctuation obtains dynamic and continuous character that constantly redefines gender identity borders. The formation of an integral (artistic or familial, national, cultural) space within the text facilitates the gender identity’s transition and provides additional instruments for a better identity performance.

<p>This article considers the usefulness of mediatization theories in historical studies of the media. Using a series of letters published in the UK newspaper The Times between 1885 and 1886 as an example, the article examines the way in which processes of mediatization developed alongside the institutions of social and cultural power by which they were reflexively constituted. On the basis of Hjarvard’s distinction between direct and indirect forms of mediatization, the paper looks at the ways in which the enunciation of moral authority and personal reputation were transformed by their incorporation into mediatized culture. At the same time, it is argued that mediatization is not a standalone process but is, rather, part of a wider set of social processes. The article reflects on the contribution of mediatization theories to developing a rounded picture of media history.</p>
