Cam Khe is a mountainous district of Phu Tho province, with a lot of potentials and advantages for the development of agriculture, industry and services. From the re-establishment of the district in 1995 until 2015, with the policy of exploiting all local resources to promote the process of socio-economic development, Cam Khe’s economic structure has shifted towards industrialization and modernization. This article focuses on analyzing the conditions, policies, measures and results of the process of economic restructuring in Cam Khe during the period of 1995 - 2015 in order to partly understand the Party’s economic reform policy which has been applied creatively in the local practical situation.

In India, the enormous contribution of mass media in the agricultural sector helps to develop agriculture as well as the socio-economic structure of the nation. The chapter discusses the contribution of mass media in agricultural sector of India and how it supports the socio-economic development of the nation. Agriculture and economy are two essential factors of modern society. Agriculture helps in the development of economy whereas mass media gives a pace. Mass media is attracting the attention of the farmer, giving them information related to agronomy and creating needs and demands of agriculture through marketing techniques, which ultimately enhance the productivity and economy of the nation. Mass media is ultimately helping the overall sustainable developmental process of the agricultural sector of the nation.

The aim of the study is to analyze еhe role of medium and small cities in development of regions in the Republic of Azerbaijan Methods. The study used the method of comparative historical methods, statistics, analyze. Results. As a result, recommendations and suggestions were made to regulate the economic structure of small and medium-sized cities, and to increase the role of the regions in the development of the country. One of the main directions of socio-economic development are the reconstruction of the economic structure of small and medium-sized cities, the creation of new production and service facilities in these areas, and the organization of public services at the level of modern requirements. With these activities, new workplaces will be created and cities will play a role in the development of the country. Scientific novelty. Cities play an important role in the location of agricultural areas and population, in the processing of natural resources and agricultural products. These factors have a significant impact on regional development as well. Most of the cities in Azerbaijan are medium and small. Therefore it covers all regions of the country. Given this, it is possible to ensure the socio-economic development of the regions by developing small and medium-sized cities. However, the role of the regions in the socio-economic development of the country is still weak. It shows itself in the production of more industrial products. To solve the problem, it is necessary to construct new light and food industry facilities and service facilities in the regions. Natural and geographical conditions, the use of natural resources, and EGP are influenced by urban development in Azerbaijan. The majority of urban areas in the country are located in plains and foothills, close to water basins and the Caspian coast. For many years the processing of agricultural products has been the basis of urban economic structures. Different objects of the secondary industry are functioning in the cities due to the diversified structure of agriculture. However, during the transition period, their activities stopped, the production of industrial products declined and workplaces were closed. This factor has slowed the decrease of the urban population and increased migration. During the preparing of the article, the annual reports of the State Statistical Committee on regional development, industry, socio-cultural development played a statistical base role.

Peculiarities of transformation of the structure of the economy of cities of the Western region of Ukraine are investigated. For this purpose, the spatial concentration of economic activity in the cities of regional significance of the Western region of Ukraine, as well as the speed and intensity of transformation of the structure of their economies are analyzed. Depending on the structure of the economy of cities of regional importance in the base period and the intensity of structural changes in it during the study period, two types of studied administrative units are identified: 1) cities of regional importance, which retained the profile of economic structure; 2) cities of regional significance, which diversify the structure of the economy.  The latter, in particular, include: a) cities of regional importance — industrial centers that have diversified their activities through the development of the service economy; b) cities of regional significance, which transformed the structure of the economy in the direction of industrial development; c) cities of regional significance, which, despite the multidisciplinary economic structure of the base period, increased in the following years the economic potential only in a certain sector of economic activity; d) other cities of regional significance, in particular those that have changed the vector of economic activity in the direction of development of related industries. The existence of positive trends (higher adaptability of the structure of the economy of the studied administrative units to modern conditions of socio-economic development), as well as negative trends (asymmetry of regional socio-economic development due to concentration of business activity and capital in cities of regional significance; disproportionate sectoral and spatial structural changes) economy of cities of regional importance, strengthening the mono-profile of economic development of individual cities of regional importance in the context of exacerbation of risks of economic activity) in the transformation processes of the economy of cities of regional importance.

He article presents an analysis of the socio-economic development of the GCC in 2000-2019 as the basis for the formation of a high-tech segment in the regional economy. The authors substantiate the necessity and possibility of high-tech development of the countries of the region and the remaining problems. The authors found that there are tangible achievements in the Persian Gulf countries, such as the emergence of high — and medium-tech industries. Their active development provides the GCC countries with relative stability in the economy and social sphere. The authors of this article note that the hydrocarbon segment still plays an important role in the implementation of the tasks of socio-economic development of the Persian Gulf countries, which, in the context of population growth, including the share of young people, requires new approaches to the formation of the economic structure from the countries of the region.

Each ethnic minority (EM) living in Hanoi city has its own customs, cultural nuances, at the same time also inherits and is influenced by other ethnic cultures. However, all are hard-working, creative in productive labor, united together to build the city and the country. Therefore, the implementation of Hanoi's ethnic policy has achieved quite comprehensive results in all fields of social life. However, the living standards of people in this region are still quite far away from the urban areas, slow economic restructuring, labor productivity, product quality have not met market requirements... Discussing the reasons from the real life, to propose solutions to ethnic policies are really leverage for socio-economic development in the mountainous ethnic minority areas of Hanoi city to be the desires that this article is mentioned.

Socio-economic problems of small cities is a multi-factor phenomenon. One of the problems of small towns is the insufficient use of local resources, both natural and man-made. Possible points of growth of the socioeconomic situation of small cities is the development of various types of tourism with the attraction of unique tourist resources. One of the examples of the organization of tourism in some small cities can be medical tourism and its sanatorium-resort direction.

This paper presents an agent-based model that illustrates creative-social entrepreneurial behaviour and its impact on socio-economic development and local resources sustainability. This study conducted an agent-based model simulation test to demonstrate the potential of the model developed through a literature review. The model approach assumes the interactions between agents are influenced by three purposes, which are profit entrepreneur, social entrepreneur and hybrid entrepreneur. The process is captured from the ability of entrepreneurial creativity in exploiting and conserving local resources. The results show the success of a dynamic model in integrating characteristics and creative-social entrepreneurial behaviour. The final model used as a reference to validate the impact and the relationship of creative-social entrepreneurial action on the socio-economic development and sustainability of a region's local resources. The aim of the article is to diagnose and evaluate the diversification of socio-economic development of powiats of Świętokrzyskie voivodship and to indicate groups of powiats with comparable levels of development. The research was conducted for the years 2010 and 2015. The indicators applied are systematised into the following areas: demographics and labour market, social potential, economic structure of a powiat, technical infrastructure, condition and protection of the natural environment. Hellwig's method of development pattern was employed to make synthetic evaluation of socio-economic development of powiats and Ward’s clustering method was used to identify groups of powiats similar in terms of the studied phenomenon. The analysis enabled to identify powiats with the highest, high, low and lowest levels of development.
