Current status of reading skills of kindergarteners at age 5-6 in pre-school

Reading and writing skills are extremely important factors in improving the ability of each student at schools. In preschools, the preparation for reading of kindergarteners at 5-6 years old has been being taken care by training children in basic reading skills including language, image processing skills, auditory skills, and memory... This article focuses on analyzing the current status of reading skills of children aged 5-6 in preschools from 5 provinces: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh and Bac Giang; as well as analyzing factors affecting reading preparation for preschool children aged 5-6 in these areas. Survey results show that the rate of children's reading ability is at most normal level with many limitations in their reading skills. The cause may come from many influencing factors with different levels of impact on the reading ability of preschool students.

The purpose of this chapter is to assess the current status and level of technology in providing on line services among larger Italian Municipalities (MUs) by presenting the results of a survey conducted by the researcher among all MUs with a population in excess of 40,000 inhabitants. Furthermore, the analysis also aims to assess the perceptions of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) with regard to the impact of e-government on the provision of services. The survey results show that MUs are generally using Internet to support interaction with different constituents and with different levels of technology. MUs have been developing all 4 stages of online service provision but higher levels of sophistication (transaction and integration) are primarily associated with the following types of LG interaction: government-to employees and government-to-government. CIOs argue that little achievement has been obtained so far in terms of efficiency while ICT usage is facilitating access to better quality information. Lessons learnt and policy implications are presented.

Reading is the cornerstone of all educational systems. Without adequate reading skills, learning in all other subject areas becomes very challenging. Children typically learn basic reading skills by age 6 or 7, but there is variation in timing of reading skill acquisition and, thereafter, in reading ability. A strong predictor of whether a child will have difficulties with reading is family history. Twin and family studies confirm that reading ability (including specific reading disorder) is substantively genetically influenced. Molecular genetic studies of reading ability have identified a number of candidate genes that are associated with reading disability and/or reading processes; many more are likely to be discovered. This review discusses implications that increased understanding of the genetic architecture of reading ability has for early identification and intervention for children at risk for reading difficulties.

This study applied SERVQUAL scale of Parasuraman et al to measure factors affecting customer satisfaction on service quality at Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank - An Giang Branch (Techcombank An Giang). The study was conducted to survey 207 customers who have been using the service at Techcombank An Giang. The survey results were analyzed by the Cronbach's Alpha reliability test method, then used Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to verify and evaluate the scale of service quality. The results of the regression analysis show that customer's satisfaction about service quality at Techcombank An Giang includes four factors: The factor with the highest level is the Empathy with Beta = 0.253, the second of factor is the Responsibility with Beta = 0.248, ranked third in the influence level is the Tangible with Beta = 0.235, and the lowest impact level is the Reliability with Beta = 0.144. The research also uses statistical methods to describe and test the differences of demographic factors with customer's satisfactionon service quality.The analysis results show that there is no difference between customer's satisfaction on service quality and factors such as gender, age, income, number of transaction banks, regular transaction banks, and time to use the service at Techcombank An Giang. Through the research results, the author would like to propose some ideas to improve the quality of services, thereby attracting new customers and importantly, keeping traditional customers because the development orientation of Techcombank is to take care of old customers to cross sell other products of the bank. The Stud results offer a basis for the branch to identify the factors influencing customer satisfaction on their service quality, thereby having an appropriate strategy to improve customer satisfaction.

This study scrutinize the factors affecting knowledge management, consisting of acquisition of knowledge, storage of knowledge, distribution of knowledge and use of knowledge, at Private Higher Education Institutions in Garut Regency.  The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors shaping the knowledge management.  By using a survey method with a quantitative approach, the unit of analysis of this study is lecturer at 14 Private Universities in Garut Regency, with 229 lecturers as respondents. Data is obtained from survey results through questionnaires distributed directly to lecturers. Data is processed using descriptive statistical analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The research findings showed that the use of knowledge and the storage of knowledge are the most powerful factors in knowledge management, followed by the acquisition of knowledge, and distribution of knowledge.

This commentary analyzes the growth and current status of the education, facilities, faculty, and teaching quality associated with sport communication education in China. It presents findings from a survey of Chinese sport communication students and their perceptions of the quality of education at universities offering such programs, as well as survey results from Chinese sport media professionals and their assessments of the students graduating from these programs. The results of these surveys signify problematic areas in sport communication education, such as an imbalance between the number of students in these programs and the amount of equipment and resources available, the shortage of qualified teachers, and the lack of applied sport communication opportunities available to the students. The article also details the relationship between supply and demand in academia. The commentary closes with proposed strategic solutions for the reformation and development of the academic environment related to sport communication in China.

Abstract Target manoeuvre is one of the key factors affecting guidance accuracy. To intercept highly maneuverable targets, a second-order sliding-mode guidance law, which is based on the super-twisting algorithm, is designed without depending on any information about the target motion. In the designed guidance system, the target estimator plays an essential role. Besides the existing higher-order sliding-mode observer (HOSMO), a first-order linear observer (FOLO) is also proposed to estimate the target manoeuvre, and this is the major contribution of this paper. The closed-loop guidance system can be guaranteed to be uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB) in the presence of the FOLO. The comparative simulations are carried out to investigate the overall performance resulting from these two categories of observers. The results show that the guidance law with the proposed linear observer can achieve better comprehensive criteria for the amplitude of normalised acceleration and elevator deflection requirements. The reasons for the different levels of performance of these two observer-based methods are thoroughly investigated.

Five experiments were conducted to evaluate the influence of rye level, ergot and penicillin on the utilization of rye by growing chicks. The effects of the following factors and/or treatments, respectively, were studied: increasing levels of rye replacing wheat in the diets for starting and finishing broiler chicks; ergot, pelleting and penicillin supplementation of rye diets; the cleaning of the beaks or vents of rye-fed chicks; and increasing levels of penicillin in rye diets containing different levels and types of protein supplements for Leghorn chicks. The results indicate that a diet containing 15% rye depressed the appetite and growth of young broiler chicks. Levels of rye higher than 15% in the diet depressed not only growth but also the efficiency of feed utilization in all chicks. The level of ergot in excess of three times that present in the uncleaned rye diet (0.11%) had no influence on chick performance. Wet excreta were produced by rye-fed but not by wheat-fed chicks. There was no relationship, however, between chick performance, and excreta "wetness," beak impaction and vent blockage. An improvement in chick performance was elicited by pelleting or penicillin supplementation of rye diets; the magnitude of the chick response to the latter treatment appeared to be influenced by the type and level of the dietary protein supplement. A dose-response study demonstrated that the maximum effective response to penicillin supplementation occurred when a rye–meat meal diet contained penicillin at or in excess of 160 mg/kg of diet; the corresponding maximum improvements in weight gain and the efficiency of feed utilization were 46 and 18%, respectively.

Abstract The present paper concerns a problem of decisive criteria and their order in formwork selection problem. As the factors affecting the choice of exact form work system have been often discussed in literature, their importance has not been distinctly formulated yet, what hampers aiding formwork selection with MCDA methods that require criteria weights (eg.: SAW, TOPSIS etc.). Therefore, author ran a survey - the decisive criteria were recognized and verified within polls send to various contractors. An analysis of survey results including criteria ordering is a subject of the present elaboration.
