THE PRACTICE OF TRADITIONAL COMMUNAL MEALS «QUQAWI» AND IDENTITY OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AT AIMARA HIGH SCHOOL OF ACORA - PUNO, PERU</strong></p><p style="text-align: justify;">The present study was undertaken because students expressed shame to eat traditional Andean food in school, so the importance of the research lies in strengthening the identity through practicing «quqawi». The practice was organized once a week, between students and teachers, allowing them to reassess their ancestral identity, and achieve resocialization. According to Llanque (1990), respect is recognized as separate from ones socio/economic position, traditionally the elders and elderly are very respected because they are repositories of communal knowledge. The aim of the study was to determine if the practice of «quqawi» strengthens identity of fourth year Aimara high school students in the city of Acora. Using observation techniques, an observation questionnaire form and the Likert scale. We also used photographs from May to November as auxiliary instruments. The research is mixed corresponding to a population of 115 students with applied stratified sampling. The following results were reached: 63% of the students share «quqawi» as a natural practice in different spaces; while 23% are indifferent, 9% would not participate and 6% do not consume Andean food. This means that the practice of «quqawi» strengthens identity of students as a normal and common experience, however there are still forms of resistance to this.</p><p><strong>KEY WORDS: </strong>* cultural * Andean * identity * aimara * tradition * values</p>

Indonesia on the fifth ranks in the world considering of accident number, after China, India, Afghanistan, and Nigeria, where East Java is the province that has the highest accident in Indonesia. The city of Surabaya as the Capital of East Java Province automatically became the centre of government activities, giving rise to transportation activities that indirectly had an impact on accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to obtain the accident rate and the location of black site in the city of Surabaya. In addition, considering that productive age including junior high school (SMP) is the highest contributor on the accidents, the level of understanding of junior high school students on traffic regulations needs to be analysed. From the data obtained at IRSMS, it can be seen that five roads in Surabaya were the highest contributors to accidents in Surabaya, namely Mastrip, Diponegoro, A. Yani, Kenjeran, and Ir. Soekarno, where the five roads are inter-city connecting roads that blend with the road in the city. In addition, from the interview data, there was a relationship between awareness of traffic behaviour and willingness to protect themselves.

The pedagogical usability is an important characteristic of applications that support learning as it relates to the added value students perceive while using it for learning. A good pedagogical usability means that an application has more chances to be accepted and used by the students thus raising the possibilities that students actually will learn with it. However important, this concept tends to be neglected by many authors. In this work we show how this concept can be applied to evaluate an application by presenting a real example of an application that has been re-designed to improve its usability, thus showing how pedagogical usability can be operationalized to be applied in general. The application shown in this work is called RedCoMulApp (Reading Collaborative Multiple-option Application) and its goal is to raise the reading comprehension ability of 12th grade high school students. In order to capture the pedagogical usability, we used 12 metrics to design a questionnaire with 26 questions to be answered with a 5-point Likert-scale, plus two open-ended questions to capture aspects that were positively valued, and those that should be improved. The results for the pedagogical usability allow us to validate that the design of the application was perceived by the students as pedagogically useful to learning about reading comprehension.
