The article considers the control system for industrial robots (IR), including precision robots (РIR), representing the integration of systems of different levels of the control hierarchy into a single (integrated) system. There are the analyzes of the structural diagram and the original mathematical formulation of the control task and, accordingly, the principles of constructing algorithms for the functioning of such systems as a whole are given. It is shown that the expansion of the range of manufactured products requires continuous improvement of technological equipment, including both "mechanics" and the entire complex of control devices: electrics, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, optics and their possible various "complexes" (combinations). The presented hierarchical control systems can be used not only for stationary and mobile ground-based robotic systems, but also for controlling the movement of single and group UAVs, since in both cases it is necessary to move the IR unit in space to fulfill the assigned task.

While Eye Gaze Tracking (EGT) systems have demonstrated their potential as computer cursor control devices, their application outside the laboratory environment has been less prominent than originally expected. This may be due to limitations in the stability of the cursor controlled by EGT devices and in the potential for unintended selections ("clicks"). To address these EGT limitations, we have developed a cursor control system that integrates electromyogram-based control with EGT-based control. This integrated system allows a user to perform small cursor displacements and selection operations ("left click") by detecting distinct changes in electromyogram (EMG) signals generated during specific facial movements. Specifically, the system monitors and processes, in real time, EMG signals from four electrodes attached to the head of the subject. We compared the performance of this EMG/EGT integrated system, with the performance of a stand-alone EGT system and a hand-held mouse, in point-and-click trials. Statistical analysis of the results indicates that the EMG/EGT system is slower than the EGT system and the mouse, but it also revealed that it is significantly less error-prone than the EGT-only system. The analysis also revealed that the performance of the EMG/EGT system does not seem to be well matched to Fitts' model.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to describe the integration of a gesture control system for industrial collaborative robot. Human and robot collaborative systems can be a viable manufacturing solution, but efficient control and communication are required for operations to be carried out effectively and safely. Design/methodology/approach – The integrated system consists of facial recognition, static pose recognition and dynamic hand motion tracking. Each sub-system has been tested in isolation before integration and demonstration of a sample task. Findings – It is demonstrated that the combination of multiple gesture control methods can increase its potential applications for industrial robots. Originality/value – The novelty of the system is the combination of a dual gesture controls method which allows operators to command an industrial robot by posing hand gestures as well as control the robot motion by moving one of their hands in front of the sensor. A facial verification system is integrated to improve the robustness, reliability and security of the control system which also allows assignment of permission levels to different users.

Installing a six-dimensional force/torque sensor on an industrial arm for force feedback is a common robotic force control strategy. However, because of the high price of force/torque sensors and the closedness of an industrial robot control system, this method is not convenient for industrial mass production applications. Various types of data generated by industrial robots during the polishing process can be saved, transmitted, and applied, benefiting from the growth of the industrial internet of things (IIoT). Therefore, we propose a constant force control system that combines an industrial robot control system and industrial robot offline programming software for a polishing robot based on IIoT time series data. The system mainly consists of four parts, which can achieve constant force polishing of industrial robots in mass production. (1) Data collection module. Install a six-dimensional force/torque sensor at a manipulator and collect the robot data (current series data, etc.) and sensor data (force/torque series data). (2) Data analysis module. Establish a relationship model based on variant long short-term memory which we propose between current time series data of the polishing manipulator and data of the force sensor. (3) Data prediction module. A large number of sensorless polishing robots of the same type can utilize that model to predict force time series. (4) Trajectory optimization module. The polishing trajectories can be adjusted according to the prediction sequences. The experiments verified that the relational model we proposed has an accurate prediction, small error, and a manipulator taking advantage of this method has a better polishing effect.

A modified path-following control system using the vector field method for an underactuated autonomous surface ship model is proposed in the presence of static obstacles. With this integrated system, autonomous ships are capable of following the predefined path, while avoiding the obstacles automatically. It is different from the methods in most published papers, which usually study path-following and obstacle collision avoidance, separately. This paper considers the coupled path following and collision avoidance task as a whole. Meanwhile, the paper also shows the heading control design method in the presence of static obstacles. To obtain a strong stability property, a nonlinear autopilot is designed based on the manoeuvring tests of the free-running ship model. The equilibrium point of the controller is globally exponentially stable. For the guidance system, a novel vector field method was proposed, and the proof shows the coupled guidance and control system is uniform semi-global exponentially stable (USGES). To prevent the obstacles near the predefined path, the proposed guidance law is augmented by integrating the repelling field of obstacles so that it can control the ship travel toward the predefined path through the obstacles safely. The repelling field function is given considering the obstacle shape and collision risk using the velocity obstacle (VO) algorithm. The simulations and ship model test were performed to validate the integrated system of autonomous ships.

This article presents a transfemoral prosthesis prototype with active control of an artificial knee joint. One of the main criteria used in the design of the prosthesis was to achieve the maximum biological similarity of this device in order to provide optimal conditions conducive to user natural walking. The artificial knee joint, designed on the basis of a polycentric higed mechanism with intersecting links, provides such conditions at the design level, and a three-level hierarchical control system, built on the basis of an intelligent-synergetic concept, at the control level. To recognize user's intentions, the intelligent subsystem uses algorithms for comparing graphic images of user's walking phases by the method of estimating the invariant moments of Hu. After that, prosthesis elements movements are planned in the synergistic subsystem in accordance with the synergistic quality criteria. The algorithms used in the control system are adjusted depending on what type of artificial foot is used in the prosthesis: active, semi-active or passive (purely mechanical). Mathematical modeling of the prosthesis operation shows that the nature of its functioning corresponds to the quality criteria adopted in the design.

Introduction. It is important to have models that adequately describe the relationship between the integral indicators of the functioning of the system with the particular indicators of the lower levels of management in complex control systems, in particular in RSChS. Traditional approaches based on normative models often turn out to be untenable due to the impossibility of covering all aspects of the functioning of such systems, as well as due to the high variability of the environment and the values of the set of target indicators. Recently, adaptive machine-learning models have proven to be productive, allowing build stable and adequate models, one of the variants of which is artificial neural networks (ANN), based on the solution of inverse problems using expert estimates. The relevance of the study lies in the development of compact models that allow assessing the effectiveness of the functioning of complex multi-level control systems (RSChS) in emergency situations, developing according to complex scenarios, in which emergencies of various types can occur simultaneously. Goals and objectives. The purpose of the article is to build and test the technology for creating compact models that are adequate to the system of indicators of the functioning of hierarchically organized control systems. This goal gives rise to the task of choosing tools for constructing the necessary models and sources of initial data. Methods. The research tools include methods for analyzing hierarchical systems, mathematical statistics, machine learning methods of ANN, simulation modeling, expert assessment methods, software systems for processing statistical data. The research is based on materials from domestic and foreign publications. Results and discussion. The proposed technology for constructing a neural network model of the effectiveness of the functioning of complex hierarchical systems provides a basis for constructing dynamic models of this type, which make it possible to distribute limited financial and other resources during the operation of the system according to a complex scenario of emergency response. Conclusion. The paper presents the results of solving the problem of constructing an ANN and its corresponding nonlinear function, reflecting the relationship between the performance indicators of the lower levels of the hierarchical control system (RSChS) with the upper level. The neural network model constructed in this way can be used in the decision support system for resource management in the context of complex scenarios for the development of emergency situations. The use of expert assessments as an information basis makes it possible to take into account numerous target indicators, which are extremely difficult to take into account in other ways. Keywords: emergency situations, hierarchical control system, efficiency, artificial neural network, expert assessments
