The aim of the paper is to identify the role of SWOT analysis in the formulation of tourism development strategies for destinations. SWOT analysis helps to establish a reliable diagnosis of the internal potential shown by a tourism destination and its environment. In the Polish economic situation, SWOT analysis is frequently used in a fragmentary manner which should be considered as a serious methodological oversight and may jeopardize the value of the entire process related to the strategic management of the tourism destination.

This paper shows the role of Syafana Islamic School's strategic management in the transformation of the implementation of the full-day program by changing it to a boarding school system. These changes are not only in the aspect of the learning system, but even on the curriculum side which uses the combination of several curricula; Diknas, Egypt (Al-Azhar) and Cambridge are integrated into the concept of Islamic boarding school, the change process is observed and analyzed using the SWOT analysis model (Strength, Weakness ,Opportunity and Threath) with an emphasis on the process of changing the system and curriculum applied by Syafana Islamic School. With the results and findings, there is a strategic management in the transformation by integrating and using four collaborative strategies. First, the Strategic Opportunity Strategy. With the model of merging and accumulating strengths by exploiting various opportunities. Second, the Strength Threath Strategy with knowledge of the strengths possessed can see and anticipate existing threats. Third, the Weakness Opportunity Strategy, the opportunity to be a major factor in efforts to overcome the weaknesses in this institution and Finally the Weakness Threath Strategy. Defense efforts are still analyzed and carried out in order to minimize weaknesses and threats from outside the institution.

The tourism industry has high potential and nowadays it is being categorized as one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. Sustainable tourism is the concept of visiting some place as a visitor and trying to make a positive impact on the environment, society, and economy and tourism development must be based on sustainability principles. Understanding the potential of each region allows the researcher and planner to identify the development way in accordance with the current situation. This study is aimed at developing sustainable tourism in Pasargad region with planning and definition of strategies. Appropriately, to achieve this goal SWOT analysis is used for conducting a comprehensive assessment for development. Effective factors in sustainable development are evaluated. As a result, for sustainable tourism development, an offensive/ competitive strategy (SO) should be the priority of these programs using internal strength to realize the external opportunity in Pasargad region. Selecting an appropriate strategy is very important to the Green Manufacturing implementation. Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis is a commonly used tool for strategic management. Here SWOT analysis in combination with AHP is used to the selection of GM strategy. The strategic factors system of SWOT analysis for GM strategy is constructed by analyzing internal and external environments of the enterprise. Then AHP based SWOT analysis is introduced in detail. A case study demonstrates the application of AHP based SWOT analysis in GM strategy selection and shows its feasibility and validity.

This study aims to analyze the tourism potential of Santolo Beach and formulate a development strategy for Santolo Beach so that it can be developed as a marine tourism area to increase tourist visits. The research was conducted at Santolo Beach in January - March 2021. This study used a case study method using primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained from questionnaires and interviews as many as 60 respondents consisting of tourists and Santolo Beach managers using purposive sampling method as the research sample.Secondary data were obtained from related agencies. The analysis used is a SWOT analysis to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Santolo Beach which will produce a development strategy for Santolo Beach. The results of the study are based on calculations carried out through SWOT analysis, the final value of the strengths is 1.64, the weaknesses are 1.44, the opportunities are 1.78 and the threats are 1.41. It can be seen from the results of these calculations that the Marine Tourism of Santolo Beach, Garut Regency has dominant strengths compared to weaknesses and greater opportunities than threats. If these values ​​are included in the SWOT Quadrant Diagram, it can be seen that the position of marine tourism development to increase tourist visits in Santolo Beach, Garut Regency is in the position of the Growth Strategy / SO Strategy, which is to make optimal use of the strengths and opportunities it has.

The aim of the study is to reveal Gaziantep Airport qualifications by applying the SWOT method. Qualitative research method was used in this study. SWOT analysis of Gaziantep Airport has been done. According to the results, although the airport has significant strengths and opportunities, it has some weaknesses and threats. The usability of the cargo terminal, having more destinations, being an international airport are determined as the strong dimensions of the airport. The insufficiency of the passenger terminal and parking area, the inefficiency of the instrument landing system were determined to be the weakness of the airport. However, investments made to overcome these deficiencies can be considered as opportunities. In addition, population growth, tourism potential due to the city of gastronomy, and the increase in the trade volume of the city have been identified as the opportunities of the airport. The proximity of the airport to the Syrian border, where the war has been going on since 2011, can be seen as a threat.
