Movement disorders caused by brain tumors are rare. The diagnosis of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease (PD) is based foremost on clinical findings. However, not performing imaging already within the initial diagnostic workup in patients presenting with symptoms of PD can delay or miss a serious diagnosis and consequently proper treatment. We describe and discuss a 59-year-old female patient who presented for several months of increasing tremor in her left hand, which was caused by a large meningioma located in the right frontal area, pressing on the right frontal lobe and nucleus lenticularis.

The purpose of our study was to study the case of successful management of pregnancy and childbirth in patient K., 39 years old with pathology of the peripheral nervous system: spinal stenosis L5 – S1, herniated L5-S1, surgery in 2014 (hemilaminectomy L5-S1, disc resection L5-S1), vertebrogenic pain syndrome. At the stage of pre-test preparation and during pregnancy, she is consulted by a neurologist to determine the tactics of pregnancy and childbirth management. Rational pregnancy planning, joint management of a pregnant woman by an obstetrician-gynecologist and a neurologist allowed choosing the optimal pregnancy management tactics and delivery method.

This article presents the case of a female patient suffering from cervical myelopathy due to ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) which was undiagnosed for a number of years. Besides presenting the clinical case, we describe the pathophysiology, symptoms, diagnostic methods and treatment options related to this condition, which is unusual in the European population.

Abstract Historically, female patienthood has been defined by an expectation of passivity and the concession of bodily autonomy. After Birth by Elisa Albert (2015) and Eleven Hours by Pamela Erens (2016) shed light on the status of the modern female patient through the lens of her treatment throughout the process of childbirth in a clinical setting. The increasing medicalization of pregnancy and childbirth in the United States has added a compelling layer to the existing tension between women and the institution of medicine. Positioning these texts in conversation with the treatment of women at the hands of healthcare workers allows us to contextualize the fictional narratives, which themselves offer a dialectal framework to facilitate our understanding of female patienthood.

This article describes a case of Caroli’s disease in a 53-year-old female patient who complained nonspecificabdominal pain without cholestasis or cholangitis. Ultrasound and hepatic magnetic resonanceimaging showed segmental saccular dilations connected to intrahepatic bile ducts without hepaticfibrosis. This clinical case shows the possibility of having oligosymptomatic forms in the diffuse formsof Caroli disease, therefore the interest to consider this diagnosis in case of non-specific abdominalsigns and to request a hepatic ultrasound.
