The main tendencies of social work from the standpoint of postmodernist theory are considered in this article. It is determined that postmodernism is characterized by: the production of a cult of individual independence, a philosophical vision of real life as a theatre of the absurd, where emphasis is placed on the realities of real life, collective subconscious, interweaving of different styles, significant parody and irony of social processes. It has been established that social work in postmodernism is due to the growing need for a critical understanding of the crisis state of modern society and viewing relations with the state, the market, users of services and society. Social work in the postmodern period is accompanied by a number of social challenges, among which we consider the psychological distress of citizens, cultural competence and virtualization of the individual. The philosophy of postmodernism is based on the relativity and absence of reality, which is often replaced by virtuality, in which people spend a lot of their time, which raises debates about whether a virtual personality can be considered a personality. The main problem of information socialization of the individual is the problem of readiness and ability of man in such a world to approach a more humane understanding of social phenomena. The study highlights the hierarchy of social work and identifies its postmodern transformations.

The article is devoted to the study of the singularity phenomenon in the process of criminological analysis of social reality. The main regularities of singularity effects development at the individual and group levels, the specifics of the mentioned effects influence on social processes, social activity, human rights, crime, criminology security, crime counteraction, paculiarities of taking into account corresponding mechanisms while criminological analysis and forecasting. In particular, social processes, social activities, human rights, crime, criminology security, counteraction are social phenomena formed as a result of many events. These events replace meanings which by repeating, retransmitting and interpreting, merge into streams. The latter fall into rhizome fields of the collective consciousness. Thus, the singularity as a fundamental uncertainty and incompleteness of social entities, is a transparent, cleared of any restrictions consciousness (social and personal) create conditions for ubiquitous mystification and reality simulation with the help of the most effective instrument today − mythologemes. In modern society, every now and then there is an aggressive spread of individual ideas, assigning them an axiomatic status, and after with the help of these ideas a total programming of social behavior happens. At present, It is hardly possible to resist this process, it is that much inherent in modernity − postmodern society. At the same time, this process transforms postmodern society or at least ensures updating of its new modalities. By understanding the singularity mechanism, a criminologist may predict the outcome of resonant convergence and the time (expected) period of unexpected collapse of events (relativity) in certain states. The starting point in forecasting should become inner space of a phenomenon, which constantly or with increasing periodicity manifests itself in the outer space. Thus, it should not be about eradicating known, provocative events-singularities in order to preserve traditional relations, but the timely consideration and implementation of changes that will prevent unwanted social conflicts.

The article analyzes scientific literature on the topic of the significance of the transformation of territorial communities in the space of a metropolis. It is shown that there are systemic difficulties in the analysis of a number of social phenomena due to the lack of generally accepted formulations of such concepts as “territorial communities”, “megalopolis space” and the differences between the concepts of “territory” and “space”. It is concluded that the aforementioned definitions should be determined by the social processes that occur in modern society, since today they acquire special significance as independent scientific categories in assessing both individual events caused by short-sighted decisions of the authorities and growing negative social phenomena in the form of protest behaviors that result from them.

AbstractBeginning in the autumn of 2008, the first generation of astronomy master's students will start a two-year course in Astrophysics offered by the Physics Department of the University of Split, Croatia (http://fizika.pmfst.hr/astro/english/index.html). This unique master's course in south-eastern Europe, following the Bologna convention and given by astronomers from international institutions, offers a series of comprehensive lectures designed to greatly enhance students’ knowledge and skills in astrophysics, and prepare them for a scientific career. An equally important aim of the course is to recognize the areas in which astronomy and astrophysics can serve as a national asset and to use them to prepare young people for real life challenges, enabling graduates to enter the modern society as a skilled and attractive work-force. In this contribution, I present an example of a successful organization of international astrophysics studies in a developing country, which aims to become a leading graduate programme in astrophysics in the broader region. I will focus on the benefits of the project showing why and in what way astronomy can be interesting for third world countries, what are the benefits for the individual students, nation and region, but also research, science and the astronomical community in general.

Transformational processes in the modern society, the market approach to training of specialists, increasing of competition in the field of employment determine the relevance of the development of professional mobility of the individual. In general, professional mobility characterizes the readiness and ability of the specialist to socio-psychological and functional-status changes, innovative transformations of themselves and the environment. Obviously, the development of this quality is one of the most important tasks of the vocational school. The most intensive formation of professional mobility is facilitated by various factors, one of which is scientific research activity. The purpose of the article is to characterize the phenomenon of scientific research activity of a modern specialist as a factor of the formation of his professional mobility. Research methods: analysis and synthesis of scientific literature (to clarify the key concepts of the study), systematization (in order to identify existing scientific approaches to solving this problem), theoretical generalization (to formulate the final provisions and conclusions). The phenomenon of scientific research activity is considered on the example of the specialty «Social work». Scientific research activity is an integral component of social work, which is formed through the separation of the scientific research subsystem in its system. This interpretation of scientific research activity allows us to identify its most important features: it is an empirical scientific research activity; it is purposeful and characterized by the relationship of certain elements, procedures and methods; it is built within the framework of logical and constructive schemes, methods and means of cognition inherent in research activities; it is performed in accordance with the research algorithm; relies on the facts that require empirical verification; the result is new knowledge about the objects of social activity; is a methodological regulation that sets the logical direction of choice of methods and means of activity. In the process of scientific research activity there is the development of professional, systematic, logical, reflective, creative and innovative thinking, the ability to predict the results of work depending on the conditions of activity.

Given the general importance of caring for the health of the population, it is understood that the healthcare system is organizationally one of the most complex systems in a country, with elements that should provide physically, geographically, and economically accessible, integrated and quality healthcare. Historically, nursing as a profession has gone through several developmental stages, always trying to respond to professional challenges and follow modern trends and needs of society. By defining nursing as an integral and independent profession within the healthcare system, the modern nurse is faced with a number of professional, educational, and social challenges, especially in those countries where the nursing profession still has an inadequate social image, both in public and professional environment. The change of nurses professional role in reformed European and North American healthcare systems ̓ is particularly visible in primary health care and public health, where nurses have taken on one of the leading roles in the organization of the work process. With a unique professional focus that can be directed on the individual and family, or system and community, modern nursing as a healthcare profession is extremely well-positioned to respond to the need of modern society for the integration of health services and to make an active contribution to positive changes in the modern healthcare system, at the same time.

Modern society, whose typical features, among other characteristics, are the growth and development of the advertising industry, is more and more interested in public service advertising whose goal is to draw the attention of a wider audience to social problems. The result of public service advertising is the formation of certain moral and value attitudes. Advertising influences the consciousness of people by promoting a certain attitude to life and ensuring the relevance of moral and social values, as well as an active socio-political position. In general, public service advertising is regarded as a means of regulating social processes. Avoiding the extremes of coercion and indifference, public service advertising makes the individual focused on the problems that should be addressed. The research goal is to analyze the experience accumulated by government bodies regarding the use of public service advertising for solving social problems. Methodology. The study was conducted in 2019-2020 at Yelets State Ivan Bunin University (Lipetsk Region). The subject matter of the research was the population of the Lipetsk region (n=1200). The scope of the study was the use of public service advertising in the government activities and the attitude of the population to public service advertising. Results and their analysis. As an instrument of influence on public consciousness and a factor in the formation of certain behavioral models, public service advertising implies interaction among society, public organizations, business, and government bodies. It is a method of targeted impact on society aimed at solving social problems. The development of public service advertising is driven by the changing attitude to social problems, both by government bodies and people, most of whom consider public service advertising to be an effective tool for raising social problems and improving social behavior. Health and family remain important themes of public service advertising. By drawing attention to social phenomena and problems, public service advertising promotes humanity, law, and care in society. Focus on public order, protection of public and personal interests and civil rights increases legal awareness in society. There is still public demand for public service advertising that stimulates people’s interest in certain projects, programs, organizations, usually non-profit. Event advertising successfully informs the audience about upcoming festive events, historical dates, and strengthens common social memory. Public service advertising does not contradict basic social attitudes, and its study is useful for understanding and interpreting public consciousness.

A description of two cases from my time as a school psychologist in the middle of the 1950s forms the background to the following question: Has anything important happened since then in psychological research to help us to a better understanding of how and why individuals think, feel, act, and react as they do in real life and how they develop over time? The studies serve as a background for some general propositions about the nature of the phenomena that concerns us in developmental research, for a summary description of the developments in psychological research over the last 40 years as I see them, and for some suggestions about future directions.

Today, worldview, spiritual and moral problems that have always been reflected in education and upbringing come to the fore in society. In this situation, there is a demand for philosophical categories. One of the priority goals of education in modern conditions is the formation of a reasonable, reflexive person who is able to analyze their actions and the actions of other people. Modern science is characterized by an understanding of the absolute value and significance of childhood in the development of the individual, which implies the need for its multilateral study. In the conditions of democratization of all spheres of life, the child ceases to be a passive object of education and training, and becomes an active carrier of their own meanings of being and the subject of world creation. One of the realities of childhood is philosophizing, so it is extremely timely to address the identification of its place and role in the world of childhood. Children's philosophizing is extremely poorly studied, although the need for its analysis is becoming more obvious. Children's philosophizing is one of the forms of philosophical reflection, which has its own qualitative specificity, on the one hand, and commonality with all other forms of philosophizing, on the other. The social relevance of the proposed research lies in the fact that children's philosophizing can be considered as an intellectual indicator of a child's socialization, since the process of reflection involves the adoption and development of culture. Modern society, in contrast to the traditional one, is ready to "accept" a philosophizing child, which means that it is necessary to determine the main characteristics and conditions of children's philosophizing.

The proposed material examines the creative task of students majoring in Social Pedagogy at the University „Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov“ in Burgas, and studying the discipline Art Pedagogy – Part 1 – Music. In the course of the lecture course students get acquainted with the elements of musical expression, as a means of figurative representations and impact of music, with different techniques concerning individual musical activities, with the endless and diverse opportunities that music provides in the use of art pedagogy for social work teachers.Verbal interpretation of music is a necessary component when working with children with special educational needs, at risk and in the norm. Looking at Tchaikovsky’s short and extremely figurative piano piece „The Sick Doll“ from his charming „Children’s Album“, in the form of a short story, tale or essay, students express their personal vision, feeling and transformation of the musical image. The aim of the task is to transcribe the sound image into a verbal one. This requires speed, flexibility and logic in thinking, through imagination and creativity in its manifestation. Children love to listen, especially when they are involved. In search of the right way to solve problems and situations, future social educators could successfully benefit from the conversion of sound into words, according to the needs and deficits of the individual or group.
