The aim of this study is to develop a valid and a reliable scale to determine the expectations of high school students from higher education. The population of the study consisted of 315 high school students in the 2018–2019 academic years. To test the construct validity of the scale, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used. The original five-point Likert scale composed of 22 items with five subdimensions. The results showed that the internal consistency coefficient of the scale was calculated as 0.84. The scale factor load values ranged between 0.58 and 0.81, and the rotated factor load values ranged between 0.46 and 0.81 and explained 59.1% of the total variance of the scale. The higher education expectation scale can be used not only to evaluate the students’ future and professional expectations in terms of subjective norms but also goal setting and need for the analysis of the program development studies. Artikel ini bermaksud mengevaluasi validitas dan reliabilitas skala kematangan karir. Skala kematangan karir dirancang untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian tentang tingkat kematangan karir pada siswa SMA. Skala tersebut terdiri dari 12 item pernyataan yang disesuaikan dengan konstruk kematangan karir, yakni: kepercayaan diri dalam karir (KDK), ketidakpastian pilihan karir (KPK), dan pengetahuan terhadap karir (PTK). Hasil analisis faktor konfirmatori mengindikasikan tiga konstruk model cocok (<em>p-vales</em>= 0.50; RMSEA= 0.00; NFI= 0.99; CFI=1.00; GFI=0.99; AGFI=0.98). Selanjutnya, 7 dari 12 item pernyataan skala kematangan karir terbukti valid (<em>stadardized loading</em> berkisar antara 0.52 hingga 0.72; <em>t-values </em>berkisar antara 8.08 hingga 12.25) dan dua dari tiga konstruk skala kematangan karir reliabel (KPK=0.68; PTK=0.70). Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa skala kematangan karir masih dapat digunakan sebagai instrumen pengumpul data dan alat asesmen.<br /><br /><em>The purpose of this article is to evaluate the validity and reliability of the career maturity scale. The career maturity scale is designed to collect research data on the level of career maturity in high school students. It is consists of 12 statement items tailored to the constructs of career maturity: career confidence, uncertainty of career choice, and career knowledge. The results of confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the three constructs of model was well fit (p-vales= 0.50; RMSEA= 0.00; NFI= 0.99; CFI=1.00; GFI=0.99; AGFI=0.98). Further, seven out of 12 statement items on career maturity scale proved valid (standardized loading ranged from 0.52 to 0.72; t-values ranged from 8.08 to 12.25) and two of the three constructs of career maturity scale are reliable (KPK=0.68; PTK=0.70). This shows that the scale of career maturity can still be used as an instrument for data collection and assessment tools.</em>

The Factors Influencing Teaching Choice (FIT-Choice) scale was completed by 86 high school students of color prior to beginning a class focusing on motivating students to become interested in teaching. Findings based on confirmatory factor analysis support the underlying FIT-Choice scale factor structure reported in previous studies. Students’ perceptions about teaching and motivations to teach were significantly lower compared with predominantly White female pre-service and in-service teachers for the majority of factors. The high school students of color were most drawn to teaching by their respect for the proficiency required of a good teacher.

This study aimed to develop and validate an instrument of career decision of senior high level. Two hundred thirty-three learners from one of the Islamic senior high schools in Yogyakarta were involved in this study. The design of this study was research and development (R&D), which consisted of eight steps: a) identifying the purpose of measuring, b) domain restriction of measuring, c) operationalization of aspects, d) item writing, e) language trial, and field test, f) item selection, g) construct validation, and h) final validation. The researcher implicated students and expert judgments to validate the instrument. A small group and large group instrument try-out were done in this study. To analyze the data, the researcher combined the statistical calculation and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The result of this study showed that the career decision instrument undergoes some revision before it was fixed. The expert's judgments & result of the small group try-out showed that the instruments must be improved. The researcher revised some items in the instrument and did the large group try-out. The result of confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the career decision instrument was fixed. It was ready to use by the counseling teachers to help the senior high school students make career decisions for their future.

Several studies have shown that entrepreneurial orientation in high school students can predict career choices as businessmen in the future. However, not many studies have developed a measurement instrument for entrepreneurial orientation in high school students in one solid variable construct. This study aims to conduct confirmatory factor analysis and norming on a scale that was previously explored. A survey of 646 high school students was conducted in six large cities throughout the provinces on Java Island, Indonesia. The results of this research confirmed that the construct of entrepreneurial orientation in high school students has three dimensions: innovativeness, risky proactiveness and competitiveness. The study also produced a norm index for junior and senior high school students. This scale will be useful in mapping the level of student’s entrepreneurial orientation and assist high school management bodies to prepare programs that are more suitable to developing entrepreneurial behavior in students.

The aim of this study was to develop a Likert type attitude scale for high school students with regard to high school physics lessons. The research was carried out with high school students who were studying in Ankara. First, the opinions of 105 high school students about physics lessons were obtained and then 55 scale items were determined from these opinions. Expert opinions were sought for the language and content validity of these items. In line with the expert opinions some items were corrected and some were taken out of the scale. The draft scale, which had 44 items, was tested on 698 high school students. The factor structure of the scale was ascertained by carrying out exploratory factor analysis from the data that were gathered. The variance of the scale, which consists of 28 items and 4 factors (interest, anxiety, importance, and self-efficacy), was 60%. The consistent between the model and the scale data was observed by carrying out confirmatory factor analysis. Since the fit indices of the scale ensure the acceptability criteria, it was observed that the factor model is appropriate. The Cronbach-alpha reliability coefficients of the factors of the scale developed were calculated and it was decided that the scale is reliable.

This article outlines the development and validation of the Computer-Delivered Test (CDT) Acceptance Questionnaire (CTAQ). The CTAQ was designed to be a practical measure of CDT acceptance of Singapore secondary and high school students (Grades 7-12) toward taking tests within an e-assessment system. The stages of test (questionnaire item) content, response processes, and internal structure under Messick’s unified concept of validity suggested that the CTAQ had sound psychometric properties. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA; n = 485) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA; n = 484) yielded a three-factor model (ease of use, involvement and experience) with a reduction of 21 to 13 items for CDT acceptance. Practical applications and limitations of the CTAQ are discussed.

To facilitate use of the Forgiveness Likelihood Scale in cross-cultural studies, the psychometric characteristics of the translated scale were examined among 192 adolescents in Portugal (86 men and 106 women). The Forgiveness Likelihood Scale is a 10-item Likert-type scale designed to measure tendency to forgive across situations. Cronbach α was .89. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the questionnaire was unidimensional among Portuguese high school students.
