This article describes a teaching/learning style that incorporates teamwork and participative management, taken from the well-grounded system Management by Objectives (MBO), while assuring that the skills important to future career opportunities are included in the course objectives.  The article begins with a description of the elements of the TBO/LBO process, followed by an identification of the main objectives, teaching learning strategies, and assessment methods.  Next, the article discusses the lessons learned using TBO/LBO and assesses the effectiveness of TBO/LBO by reviewing the literature regarding Management By Objectives (MBO).  The literature review revealed overwhelming support for the effectiveness of MBO.  Finally, suggestions for future research are discussed.

Globalisation has made the learning of foreign language very important, however, to provide effective teaching and learning of foreign languages to achieve better performance (anticipated targets) is necessary to understand the factors influencing teaching, learning, and attainment of learning targets of students. Based on factors such as knowing of course content, knowing of assessment schedule, frequent assessment, feedback after assessment, the adoption of adaptive learning system, and individualized learning environment the paper examines their impact on effective teaching and learning as well as better performance of learners at RUDN University. Using sum of squares regression model, it was found that knowing of course content and frequent assessment positively influence effective teaching and learning, while frequent assessment, feedback after assessment, and an individualised learning environment promote better performance of students by helping attain anticipated targets during their foreign language course. This is instructive to stakeholders to take the necessary steps required to help enhance teaching, learning and performance of learners.

Despite the proliferation of online courses in social work, questions still exist about learning practice skills in an online instructional environment. This paper describes a case example of an action-oriented approach to the development of an online practice course. Lessons learned from students’ and instructor’s perspectives are shared as well as recommendations for future research relative to course development and evaluation of online courses. The study examined student feedback with respect to their overall learning experience. Findings indicated that involving students in the design and development of an online practice course benefited both students and faculty and can be an effective teaching and learning strategy regardless of the instructional medium used.

Introduction: It is necessary to identify the students' diversities when we are going to perform our teaching in the classroom, it is also essential when we prepare our lecture to conduct in the classroom. Teachers used various methods to teach the students in the classroom. Several earlier studies are available on the effectiveness of different models of teaching approaches. This study intended the effect of using brainstorming and presentation teaching-learning strategies. Methods: Exploratory study design was used. 42 female nursing students of 2nd year class from 4-year diploma of general nursing and eight professional nursing instructors of School of Nursing Rajanpur. Descriptive statistics were used to identify the effectiveness of elected (brainstorming & presentation) teaching-learning strategies. Chi square was used to compare the academic performance (marks obtained) between students having different teaching-learning style. Results: The result showed that mean and standard deviation score for brainstorming and presentation teaching-learning strategies were 10.16±1.51 and 10.97±1.27. There is significant difference between group categories (<.05). Conclusion: The findings from this study show that presentation teaching-learning method plays a notable effect on students learning. This study as well exemplify that different teaching-learning method with advance technology is more useful than the conventional methods of teaching-learning.

In this study, 106 women (M age = 23 years) completed a series of questionnaires online assessing personality traits and facets (subscales), learning preferences (Activist, Reflector, Theorist, Pragmatist), and attitudes toward learning preferences.The vast majority of participants in this study believed that students are more likely to have academic success when teaching and learning strategies match their learning style. However, the results of several hierarchical regression analyses found that a large proportion of variance in learning style was accounted for by personality traits or facets. For example, 43% of the variance in the Activist Learning Style was accounted for by higher scores on Extraversion, and lower scores on Conscientiousness and Negative Emotionality. When personality facet scores were used as predictors, the proportion of variance jumped to 55%. Similarly, between 27-31% of the variance in Reflector, Theorist and Pragmatist Learning Style was accounted for by personality facet scores alone. The results are discussed in terms of learning style attitudes and myths pervasive in the literature, and the need for evidence-based practices.

COVID-19 gives a drastic change in our lifestyle. In education, it effects on motivation, routine and the dilemma in using certain application. The university has taken various proactive measures for ensuring the productivity of their stakeholders. Students and instructors are changing their teaching and learning style which this impact on learning technology usage while having online class. This paper shares COVID-19 story in terms of learning system development online which is challenging for learners and instructors. They need to adjust themselves so that the message is conveyed, and problem is solved during the online class. This paper looks at how the learners and instructors manage their online class by using an online prototype tool, Justinmind, for assisting them to learn system development during COVID-19. The learners have been asked to plan, gather, and design the user interface according to the requirements stated previously. This study found out that there are some difficulties in conducting system development class in online mode since there is a change of routine as well as teaching and learning style. However, the difficulties have been addressed by the utilization of the technology and thus creating more exciting journey for the class regardless of the pandemic era.

The two very prominent methodologies are GTM and CLT in the education system in teaching & learning English in Bangladesh. To show the importance of the combination of these two phenomenal methods is the purpose of this paper. In Bangladesh GTM is commonly used for a long time, and at present CLT is also a very famous method. In this paper, the two methods are elaborated clearly in effective teaching and learning of English in Bangladesh. The study focuses on GTM and CLT in respects of achieving four skills, accuracy/fluency, teaching-learning process, handling the students’ feelings and emotions, the role of the native language of students, the language skills that are emphasized, and the way of teacher’s response to students’ errors. Though CLT is the more beneficial method nowadays GTM also has some positive things to offer. Based on the data and findings, this paper has also presented some suggestions for effective teaching and learning of English in Bangladesh.

The T-Scan is an effective patient education tool for illustrating existing occlusal pathology. It presents complex occlusal information in a visual format that is easily understood. The T-Scan applies to all stages of the teaching/learning process because its recorded data forms the framework upon which a doctor/patient discussion can begin regarding the patient's occlusal disease manifestations, the potential benefit of treatments, and the risks of not undergoing corrective treatment. When used as part of an educational strategy, the T-Scan can lead the patient to accept procedures that would benefit their long-term dental health. This chapter outlines the four stages of creating optimum dental health, the steps required to perform effective teaching and learning, the differing styles of teaching and learning utilized in educational forums, and how to best employ the technique of Feature, Function, and Benefit. A case study illustrates how T-Scan data can educate a patient about their own occlusal problems.

This chapter presents a theoretical framework and research base for the successful transition of an established Master of Science in Nursing program from that of traditional classroom delivery to one that is Web-based with no geographic limitations to students. The application of socio-technical systems theory to facilitate creation of a positive learning environment for future nurse leaders is described. Use of social processes and application of technology to optimize learning is explained and the latest research on content presentation and student engagement in an e-learning environment are presented. The authors hope that through examination of successful online teaching/learning strategies, readers will have a clear understanding of the competencies necessary for students and faculty to be successful in online education.
