Legal Protection for Health Workers Towards the Implementation of Government Regulation No. 33 of 2012 concerning Exclusive Breastfeeding on Infants with Post Sectio Caesarea Mothers

Introduction: Articles 6 and 7 of Government Regulation No. 33 of 2012 on Exclusive Breastfeeding stated that every mother who gives birth must give exclusive breast milk to the newborn, unless there is a medical indication, the mother is not present or the mother is separated from the baby. The purpose of this study was to determine the legal protection for health workers towards the implementation of government regulation concerning exclusive breastfeeding on infants with Post Sectio Caesarea mothers. Methods: This research method is empirical juridical research (field research). The author uses a statutory approach in accordance with the studied legal materials, analyzed qualitatively. The sample in this study is all 2 ObsGyn, 2 pediatrician, 9 midwives, 1 breast milk counselor, 60 post SC mothers and 60 newborns at RSUD Tarutung, RSUD Porsea, and RSUD Doloksanggul when researchers conducted research. Results: Exclusive Breastfeeding is a government program and has been outlined in Government Regulation No. 33 of 2014 on Exclusive Breastfeeding. The government is actually aggressively promoting exclusive breastfeeding through seminars, workshops and advertisements in print, electronic and social media. But this does not make exclusive breastfeeding successful as expected. The number of obstacles both external factors and internal factors of the mother. Especially on the mother of the Post Sectio Caesarea. Conclusion: Implementation of Government Regulation No.33 of 2012 on Exclusive Breastfeeding of Post Sectio Caesarea Mothers in hospitals has still not been realized.

Empowering the Role of the Integrated Foster Post Cadres in Improving the Quality of Life of Diabetes Mellitus Patients

Introduction: Nurses as one of the health workers have a role in managing Diabetes Mellitus patients, the quality life of Diabetes Mellitus patients affects physical health, psychological conditions, level of dependence, social relations and the patient's relationship with the surrounding environment. Actions and interventions in controlling Diabetes Mellitus disease require appropriate therapeutic regimens, as well as involving families. By empowering the health cadres, it can improve the quality life of people with Diabetes Mellitus who are in the working area of the Kesamben Health Center, Jombang Regency. Methods: This research is a quasi-experimental study with a non-randomized control group pre-test post- test design. In this study, the treatment group was given a treatment in the form of training for Integrated Foster Post Cadres to improve for Diabetes Mellitus, while the control group was not given any treatment. Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference in the quality of life between the treatment group and the control group due to skills improvement training for Integrated Foster Post Cadres Diabetes Mellitus with the results of the independent t test on self-efficacy obtained t value of 25.055 (p = 0.000), while the value t of quality life is 25,790 (p = 0,000). Conclusion: Nurses can empower Integrated Foster Post Cadres in the community by improving the quality of life for people with Diabetes Mellitus. Integrated Foster Post Cadres play an active role in the community in the scope of knowledge, signs and symptoms, complications of Diabetes Mellitus which can encourage DM sufferers to be motivated to improve the quality of life.

Tamarillo Juice (Solanum betaceum Cav) as An Alternative to Increase Hemoglobin Levels for Pregnant Women with Anemia

Introduction: World Health Organizations recommends pregnant women to consume 120-240 mg of iron (in the form of Ferrum) per day and increase the dose by 400 mg 3 times a day if the Anemia is severe. One of the herbal therapies that can increase hemoglobin levels is Tamarillo (Solanum Betacum Cav) with a vitamin C level of 25 mg, Fe 2,765 ppm. The research objective was to analyze the effect of Tamarillo juice consumption in increasing hemoglobin (HB) levels of pregnant women with Anemia. Methods: Quasi-experimental research with pre and post-test along with control group design was used to compare the HB levels of ≥ 32 weeks pregnant women who were given Tamarillo fruit juice. Subjects in this study were 34 pregnant women as the treatment group who received Tamarillo juice and blood supplement and the control group of pregnant women who only receive blood supplements. Results: The results of the T-test analysis showed that in the treatment group there was an increase in the average hemoglobin level of 0.91 g/dL in the first week and 1.75 g/dL in the second week, while in the control group there was an increase in the average hemoglobin level of 0.43 g/dL in the first week and an increase of 0.89 g/dL in the second week. Conclusion: The administration of Tamarillo juice as an alternative companion to blood supplement in the prevention and management of care for pregnant women with Anemia.

Barriers for Using Electronic Health Records (EHRs) by Nurses in Qatar: A Cross Sectional Study

Introduction: Electronic Health Records (EHR) have been implemented by multiple hospitals all around the world. EHR initiatives tend to be driven by the promise of availability of patient data and enhanced system integration by the need to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness and by a changing doctor-patient relationship towards where care is divided among a multidisciplinary members of health care professionals and/or by the need to deal with a more complex and rapidly changing environment. The aim of this research is to determine the barriers faced by nurses in Qatar in using EHRs in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitude (KSA). Methods: A survey was sent to approximately 12,000 nurses from different hospitals under Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar through the corporation's official e-mail from January 1, 2021 to May 31, 2021. The questionnaire was developed and validated by the researcher of the study (α=0.877). The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25.0 was used to analyze the data. Results: A total of 262 nurses participated in the study. Majority of the nurses who participated are females (69%) and ages 31-35 years old (50.4%). Among the respondents 98.5% are staff nurses with various educational levels: bachelor’s degree in Nursing (43.5 %), diploma in Nursing (27%), and Master of Arts in nursing (3.8%). Only 23.3% of the respondents have a length of service of less than 4 years; 76.7% have been with their institution more than 4 years. The majority of respondents came from the inpatient areas (37%), followed by the outpatient nurses (15.3%), and operating room nurses (14.1%). Around 91% of the respondents claimed to have a 0-3 number of trainings in the past 3 years. A significant correlation was found between age (r=-0.124, p=0.045), length of service (r=0.193, p=0.002), and area assignment (r=0.129, p=0.037) with the skill on EHR. Conclusion: Results of the study showed that the dimension of knowledge, skills, and attitude towards the use of EHR is a barrier, but only to a moderate extent. The nurses in Qatar are highly educated, well experienced and are mostly millennials. This opens a great opportunity of acceptance and amplification of EHR in Qatar with the proper training and support to nurses.

The Effect of Storytelling Using Finger Puppets on Anxiety in Hospitalized Preschool Children

Introduction: The prevalence rates of disease at preschool age are higher than toddlers and school age. The coping mechanism has not developed at that age, thus contributing to increased anxiety levels during hospitalization. Interventions are needed to overcome anxiety problems so that children are more comfortable and cooperative in undergoing treatment in the hospital more effectively. The research aims to examine the effect of storytelling using finger puppets on anxiety in hospitalized preschool children. Methods: Quasi-experiment research with pre and post-test design, 40 preschool children were selected with purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria, 20 respondents of treatment groups, and 20 respondents of control groups. The instrument used FAS. Data analysis used is the Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon Sign Rank Tests. Results: Mann-Whitney results showed the difference in anxiety between treatment and control group in post-test (p=0.023), and Wilcoxon results showed Z count -3.827 a< Z table -1.96 value asymp sig. (2-tailed) where z arithmetic ≤ z table which means there is influence or probability value p= 0.000 (p< α= 0,05) which means H1 accepted. Conclusion: It is expected that in the future, it can be used as an alternative method to reduce anxiety. And then it’s hoped that researchers can further examine more deeply the effectiveness of parental involvement in storytelling play therapy.

Effect of Toothbrushing Simulation Method with Bass Technique on the Dental and Oral Hygiene

Introduction: Toothbrushing practice is a common problem encountered in maintaining children's dental and oral hygiene. The Bass Technique introduces to improve the practice of toothbrushing and promotes dental/oral hygiene among school-aged students. This study aimed to know the effect of the toothbrushing simulation method with bass technique on the dental and oral hygiene practice in Pulo Lor III Elementary School. Methods: This was a pre-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. The study population was 49 students aged between 7 to 10 years old in Pulo Lor III Elementary School. Thirty students selected for the study by the purposive sampling technique. The independent variable was the toothbrushing method with the bass technique, while the dependent variable was dental and oral hygiene. An observation sheet and OHI-S questionnaire were employed to collect the study data. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test used to analyze the study data collected. Results: The result revealed after the implementation of the bass technique, the number of participants with poor practice of dental and oral hygiene was increasing by a total of 0 (0%), followed by good and moderate practice of oral hygiene with a percentage of 13 (43.3%) and 17 (56.7%), respectively (p=0.000). The dental and oral hygiene observed after and before the implementation of the bass technique was also significant, with the value of p of 0.000. Conclusion: Toothbrushing with bass technique significantly affected the dental and oral hygiene among students aged between 7 to 10 years old in Pulo Lor III Elementary School, Jombang District.

Characteristics of Sleep Quality of Nursing Students in Bali During Pandemic Covid-19

Introduction: Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) has spread to 34 provinces in Indonesia. Indonesia first confirmed the case of COVID-19 in March 2020. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has made the teaching and learning process shifted to distance teaching. This activity-limiting measure in response to curbing the spread of COVID-19 has caused an unprecedented change in human behavior around the world. One of the changes in human behavior is sleep. Sleep is a physiological process that is highly dependent on the environment and social and varies greatly with stress levels. This study aimed to know the characteristics of sleep quality of nursing students during pandemic Covid-19 in Bali. Methods: This study is a descriptive study using univariate analysis. The population in this study is approximately 1,500 nursing students. Sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling with 422 sample. Data collection tools in the form of questionnaires that are used is a sleep quality questionnaire from the Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Results: The results show that most of the nursing students’ age ranged from 15-25 (94.1%), female (79.1%) and currently undergoing Bachelor of Nursing education (68%) and students of Nursing in Bali mostly have poor sleep quality (97.4%). Conclusion: Students of Nursing reported to have poor sleep quality over the last month.

The Effect of Basic Life Support Course on Community Knowledge Level

Introduction: Cardiac arrest is the most pre-hospital emergency cases. Approximately 30.000 people have cardiac arrest in pre-hospital and about 33% have treated with bystander. Basic life support (BLS) with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a first aid procedure that needs to be performed in this case. Death could occur within minutes if the first aid does not adequately performed. The study aimed to know the effect of BLS courses on the community knowledge level in the North Denpasar District. Methods: The study was a pre-experimental study with a pre-posttest design. Study participant selected by cluster random sampling technique and 199 participants chosen as study participants. To collect the community knowledge data, a questionnaire employed in this study. American Heart Association (AHA) guideline for the public published in 2015 enrolled as a reference in organizing ten questions in the questionnaire with Guttman Scale. Results: The characteristics of respondents were 27% participants were aged between 30-39 years, 56% graduated from senior high school, 55% work as employees and 90% never attended BLS training program. There was a significant mean difference from the pre-test and post-test data. The mean difference before and after the BLS course were 8.38 and 9.74, respectively. There was a significant correlation between the BLS course and the level of knowledge (p = 0.000). Conclusion: The level of knowledge about BLS before the course was 63%. It classified into a good knowledge level. The level of knowledge about BLS after the course was significantly improved. It increased to 97.5%.

Correlation between Nutritional Status (According to Body Weight/Body Height Index) with the Age of Menarche on Female Student

Introduction: Changes that happened in the adolescent population marks by puberty and complex emotional change, social adaptation to be more mature, and sexual identity development to reach the reproductive organ maturation. Methods: This study employed a survey method with the cross-sectional approach. The study population was 28 third-year female students at Sidorejo Pare Christian School. From the total population, twenty-five participants in this study selected by a purposive sampling technique. Two variables, independent variable (nutritional status), dependent variables (the age of menarche), and control variable (social-economic status, health, consumption of medication, and psychological status) involved in this study. Results: Ninety-two percent of the participants had a normal nutritional status. While the rest four percent of them had an underweight nutritional status. The highest percentage of the age of menarche was 11 years old. While the youngest and the oldest age of menarche were 9 and 13, respectively. Ninety-two percent of the participants were experiencing menarche at the age of 9-11 years old, while eight percent of the participants were experiencing menarche at the age of 12 and 14. Conclusion: The oldest and youngest age of menarche found was 11 and 9 years old, respectively. Ninety-two percent of the participant with good nutritional status were experiencing menarche at the age of 9-11. There was a correlation between the nutritional status (according to the index of body weight/body height) with the age of menarche.

Relationship Between Knowledge Level and Community Behavior about Eradication of Mosquito Nest

Introduction: Dengue hemorrhagic fever is one of the population's health issues in Indonesia, with an increasing number of sufferers as the disease spreads. The cases rose dramatically in Panji Village, with a significant spike in cases per year. In 2018 there were 16 cases, in 2019 it increased to 177 cases and in 2020 until February 122 cases were recorded. Mosquito nest eradication is the most reliable, safe, and cost-effective method of eliminating dengue fever vectors. The aim of this study is to know relationship the level of knowledge and behavior regarding mosquito nest eradication in Panji Village. Methods: The design used was descriptive correlation with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study is the population living in the Banjar area, Dinas Dangin Pura Panji Village Sukasada, Bali with 1222 residents, after entering the Slovin’s formula, 400 samples were obtained using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to collect data in this study was a questionnaire sent via google form. Test the relationship using the Pearson test. Results: Most people have less knowledge and behavior and when viewed from the correlation test, a significant value of p = 0.000 is obtained with a value of r = 0.524 which means that the relationship is moderate and has a positive value. Conclusion: There is a moderate and positive relationship between knowledge and behavior in the Eradication of Mosquito Nests.
