The problem of enrichment of aluminum ores is due to the fact that bauxite-forming minerals have similar density, dispersed character and subtle intergrowth. Therefore, the development and improvement of methods for the enrichment and processing of bauxite continue. The work shows the effect of physical and chemical factors on iron minerals with the goal of transforming them into magnetite, to increase the magnetic phase. Influence of various kinds of energetic influences on bauxite raw materials and red mud is established, under which the magnetic properties and phase composition change, the concentrations of certain minerals change.

This article is devoted to the question of one of the remote complications in dental implantology — fracture of the central screw of the abutment. Systematic studies of the influence of chemical and phase composition, volume and surface structure of products from titanium-based alloys on the functional properties of the «implant-screw-abutment» system, including corrosion resistance in biological media, have not been carried out. Therefore, the problem of establishing patterns of influence of these factors on the corrosion resistance of the elements of implantation systems, namely the central screw, and the study of its tribological properties (wear resistance), are relevant today.

The ceramic materials structure formation with the given esthetics-consumer properties is the most important mission of the modern production and should be based on the knowledge of physical and chemical processes, which are flowing past in masses based on the systems differing in the content of alkaline, alkaline-earth oxides and oxides of iron in clay raw materials.

Prion infections of humans and animals are absolutely fatal. The cellular prion protein retains its antigenicity during the transition to the prion isoform; therefore, animals affected by prions do not respond to them with defensive reactions in the form of inflammation and the production of antibodies, which makes it difficult to diagnose the disease in vivo. In affected animals, prions accumulate in the nervous, lymphoreticular and muscle tissues and are released into the environment, in which they remain for many years. The resistance of prions to physical and chemical factors does not allow them to be inactivated in food by heat or radiation. Zoonoticity has been proven only for the causative agent of bovine spongiform encephalopathy, to which sheep, goats and pigs are susceptible. Sheep scrapie and chronic wasting deer disease occur widely in natural conditions in the form of enzootics and are similar in many characteristics. The zoonotic nature of their pathogens has not been proven.

The work is devoted to study of the high-temperature hydrochemical decomposition of mineral complexes of diaspore-bemite bauxites by the Bayer method with the extraction of macro-components-aluminum and iron in the presence of metal reducing agents. X-ray phase studies were performed to determine the composition and structure of new compounds in magnetized spent red mud. Based on the results of physical and chemical studies of leaching products, optimal parameters for reducing leaching of bauxite are recommended, aimed at extracting aluminum and synthesizing magnetite. The regularities of the influence of the type of metal reducing agent on the morphology, phase composition, and particle size in the red mud are revealed.

Purpose. To substantiate the efficiency of processing hematite raw materials at the Krivoy Rog Mining and Processing Plant of Oxidized Ores using the direct reduction technology itmk3®. Metodology. Analysis of the results of the itmk3® direct restoration technology developed by Kobe Steel Ltd., Japan and Hares Engineering GmbX, Austria, with a view to using it to process Krivbass hematite ores into granulated iron (so-called “nuggets”). Findings. The involvement in the production of hematite ores (oxidized quartzite) of Krivbass with high iron content, but with low magnetic properties for their processing into granular cast iron is grounded. Originality. The use of itmk3® direct reduction technology from Kobe Steel Ltd., Japan and Hares Engineering GmbH, Austria for the processing of Krivbass hematite ores into granular cast iron is justified for the first time. Practical value. The efficiency of the use of hematite ores (oxidized quartzite) has been substantiated, which can significantly reduce the costs in the mining cycle for the economical production of metallurgical products.

The problem associated with the household behavior on solid waste disposal site in todays society is complex because of the large quantity and diverse nature of the wastes. Due increase the population, rapid development, global agricultural development has moved rapidly, limitations of financing, emerging limitations of both energy and raw materials and also add to the complexity of any waste management system, large quantities of wastes are being generated in different forms such as solid, liquid and gases. This research explored factors affecting the level of participation in solid waste segregation and recycling of households in Romania, as well as examining current Romania households waste management practices and their knowledge of waste management. This study investigated the solid waste situation and the organization of solid waste management in both urban and rural settings from the perspective of households. Solid waste management is a key component of public services which needs to serve the urban and rural municipalities in an efficient way in order to maintain a decent standard of public health.
