For effective functioning of transport systems, information on spatial distribution of transport flows is necessary both at the current moment and for future periods. Traditional methods of obtaining observation results require very high costs, In addition, there is a high probability of obtaining low-quality data due to the strong influence of the human factor. The disadvantage of automated methods of traffic flow inspection is the high cost of equipment. The paper proposes a method for obtaining data on spatial distribution of passenger flows using constant monitoring of the online service of joint trips. To illustrate the possibilities of this approach, the online service for searching for car companions was used on the example of Sverdlovsk region. The correspondence matrix is constructed using a gravitational model applying the Poisson method. The Gauss - Seidlitz iterative method is used to find unknown parameters of the model. The assessment of quality and adequacy of the constructed model values of correspondence was carried out. It is shown that the spatial distribution of traffic flows obtained on the basis of data from online services for searching for car companions is well described by a gravitational model with a piecewise constant gravity function. Based on the analysis of the observed correspondence matrix, it was found that traffic flows between Yekaterinburg and all other cities of the Sverdlovsk region significantly exceed traffic flows between these cities.

The application of intelligent transport systems (hereinafter ITSs) on roads enables continuous monitoring of road users during a whole year with the aim to collect good-quality data based on which the more complex analyses could be done, such as monitoring of certain traffic safety indicators. Automatic traffic counters are one of the most commonly implemented ITSs for collecting traffic flow parameters that are relevant for traffic management on state roads in Republic of Serbia. This paper presents one of the possible ways to collect, analyze and present data on road users’ speeds using automatic traffic counters, where certain traffic safety indicators are analyzed in terms of road users’ compliance with the speed limit on the road section from Mali Pozarevac to Kragujevac. Based on the analyses of data downloaded from automatic traffic counters, it is observed that an extremely high percentage of vehicles drive at speed higher than the speed limit, indicating clearly to higher traffic accident risk, as well as to the need for a tendency to implement speed management on roads using ITS in the forthcoming period.

Free electron lasers (FELs) place very stringent requirements on the quality of electron beams. Present techniques for commissioning and operating electron accelerators may not be optimized to produce the high brightness beams needed. Therefore, it is proposed to minimize the beamline errors in electron accelerator transport systems by minimizing the deviations between the experimentally measured and design transport matrices of each beamline section. The transport matrix for each section is measured using evoked responses. In addition, the transverse phase space of the beam is reconstructed by measuring the spatial distribution of the electrons at a number of different betatron phases and applying tomographic techniques developed for medical imaging.

Kabori Lagoon is a lagoon located in Manokwari Regency, West Papua, where the water quality data is still very limited. Chlorophyll-a is the most important photosynthetic pigment for aquatic plants such as phytoplankton. The purpose of this study was to determine the horizontal distribution of chlorophyll-a based on the spatial data approach in the waters of the Kabori Lagoon. The study was conducted from April to May 2019. The sampling point was determined by purposive sampling at eight points for sampling of chlorophyll-a and water parameters including physics and chemistry (temperature, DO, salinity, brightness and depth). Measurement of physical and chemical parameters is carried out in situ. Chlorophyll-a analysis was carried out at the Laboratory of Water Productivity and Quality, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences, Hasanuddin University. Spatial data processing used ArcGIS 10.4 and Surfer 16 to create chlorophyll-a distribution maps and bathymetry. The results showed that the chlorophyll-a content in Observation I was in the range of 0.12-2.40 mg/m3 and in Observation II it was in the range of 1.43-10.84 mg/m3. Based on the chlorophyll-a content, the Kabori Lagoon is included in the mesotrophic category. Spatially, the distribution of chlorophyll-a content varies, but tends to be higher in the southern part of the lagoon than in the northern part of the lagoon.  Spatial distribution, Chlorophyll-A, Kabori Lagoon, Mesotrophic

Introduction. The urgency of transport modeling, which is the basis for the implementation of various technical solutions aimed on the automated traffic control systems usage based on a new generation of road controllers, is noted. The circumstance according to which the transport modeling acquires essentially dynamic approach is specified. The aim and the problems of the study are formulated, consisting in the generalization and formalization of the tasks of transport modelling.Materials and methods. To solve such problems the author uses methods of system analysis, theory of transport systems, as well as techniques that are widely used in the community of transport engineers, including various options for computational and experimental methods of modeling traffic flows and transport systems for the city or agglomeration.Results. On the basis of generalization of information about stages of transport modeling the sequence of actions leading to obtaining the required transport model, by means of which it is possible to carry out the decision of a specific task, is offered. The list of the main tasks of transport engineering is formulated, the importance of the dynamic approach and the special role of the theory of transport macro systems are indicated, according to the provisions of which stochastic processes at the micro level lead to the deterministic behavior of transport systems at the macro level.Discussion and conclusions. The main result of the research is the development of the control actions for the operation of the intelligent transport system that evenly distributes traffic flows through the network and prevents the occurrence of congestion in real time. The basis for it is the formulation and solution of various problems of transport modeling.

The article is devoted to the establishment of information support to determine the patterns of changing the function of gravitation of employees of the urban-service enterprises. It has been established that the development of urban transport systems is impossible without the use of information technology to predict the parameters of the formation and absorption of passenger traffic. The design of urban transport systems cannot be achieved without assessing the impact of traffic improvement measures on changes in traffic and passenger flows. The main parameter by which it is possible to predict the choice of places of gravity by the inhabitants of cities is the function of gravitation between different areas of the city. The formalized functions of the gravitation of urban dwellers are not differentiated by the social composition of the population of cities. In addition, they use only travel time between areas of the city as an independent variable. The article proposes the formalization of the gravitation function of employees of the urban service enterprises using the parameters of the urban transport system, areas of departure and arrival, as well as the cost of movement. A special questionnaire has been developed to obtain the original information. A natural survey was carried out using it. As a result of the processing of survey data using correlation and regression analysis methods, the degree of influence of the studied factors on the value of the gravitation function of employees of urban service enterprises was revealed. Analysis of the correlation values obtained showed that the most significant impact on the value of the gravitation function of employees of urban services is the ratio of the cost of movement between districts and average wages in the city. The least impact is the distance from the area of residence to the place of application of work, the ratio of the cost of one square meter of housing in the area of residence and the average salary in the city, the ratio of the cost of one square meter of housing in the area of employment application and the average salary in the city. However, the compatible influence of all factors can change the level of influence of each factor and its combinations. In addition, it is advisable to take into account the technical and operational performance of urban passenger transport routes and individual transport routes.

The application of information technologies preconditions the optimisation of performance of transport systems: improvement of the performance quality, safety and efficiency of the overall system, increase in capacity, reduction of the trip duration without high financial investment into construction of the new technical infrastructure. The transport modelling is the only economical and sufficiently reliable way to carry out a forward assessment of the impact of the innovations to be applied on the overall system. The network of Vilnius public transport was built up on the data of 2002, and the year 2002 saw the last comprehensive surveys. Building up the PT network the data was taken from the VIDAS database, created in 2002 while drafting the special plan for Vilnius transport infrastructure (tram) development. The morning rush hour, when the passenger flows are maximum, was chosen for the modelling. Calibration of Vilnius PT network was carried out after selection of three possible methods: TSys‐based, Headway‐based and Timetable‐based. In the timetable‐based model Logit, Kirchhoff, BoxCox and Lochse distribution factors are inter‐changed. Analysis of all coefficients received when modelling allows a conclusion that further modelling of the development of Vilnius public transport network should be based on Timetable‐based model choosing Kirchhoff or BocCox distribution laws, whereof conformity to the basic averages of coefficients of the 2002 survey is respectively 0,82 and 0,81. This would facilitate adopting solutions to the development of the public transport systems and would increase their reliability. The calculated coefficients revealed that TSys‐based methods were mostly removed from reality, and the average coefficient of failure to conform to the data of the 2002 survey is 0,24. This method did not give any data about the load on the stops, although the number of trips modelled with the help of this method was most proximate to the survey data, i.e. 0,69 %.

The transport system is a critical component of the urban environment in terms of its connectivity, aggregation, and dynamic functions. The transport system can be considered a complex system due to the massive traffic flows generated by the spatial interactions between land uses. Benefiting from the recent development of location-aware sensing technologies, large volumes of traffic flow data (e.g., taxi trajectory data) have been increasingly collected in spatial databases, which provides new opportunities to interpret transport systems in cities. This paper aims to analyze network traffic flow from the perspective of the properties of spatial connectivity, spatial aggregation, and spatial dynamics. To this end, we propose a three level framework to mine intra-city vehicle trajectory data. More specifically, the first step was to construct the network traffic flow, with nodes and edges representing the partitioned regions and associated traffic flows, respectively. We then detected community structures of network traffic flow based on their structural and traffic volume properties. Finally, we analyzed the variations of those communities across time for the dynamic transport system. Through experiments in Beijing city, we found that the method is effective in interpreting the mechanisms of urban space, and can provide references for administrative divisions.
