Adaptation to the conditions of freedom and the resocialization of persons who served their terms is determined by a gender factor, especially in societies with a bright masculine characteristic, to which the Russian society belongs too. In such societies, the process of female post-penitentiary adaptation is more complicated, because it, as before, is dominated by a more negative attitude to female crime than to male one. This is a reflection of the specifics of a society of a masculine type, where the system of double standards influences public consciousness and determines the attitude towards persons who broke the law depending on their gender. Thus, the post-penitentiary female resocialization in Russia occurs under the influence of a combination of factors and difficulties that are typical for this period of women’s lifetime, typical of ex-prisoners in Russia and connected with a specific attitude of the society to female crime as well. This situation, in many respects, determines an unsuccessful scenario of the process of post-penitentiary female resocialization and, as a result, increases risks of recurrent crime in the female environment in the modern Russian society

Freelancing is largely based on finding a job through the Internet and by means of the Internet, which allows you to open up new opportunities for the Russian economy and make structural changes to it. But the attitude of Russian society to the new form of employment is still poorly understood. At the moment in Russia, freelancing is at the stage of development and its further development depends on the attitude of the society towards this type of employment. Today, Russian society is undergoing especially important changes in connection with the pandemic, which turned out to be an unexpected test for every person, as well as for the whole society. The self-isolation regime has strongly affected the economic spheres of life, confronted companies with remote work, and people with an understanding of all the positive and negative aspects of working outside the office. The hypotheses put forward have been partially confirmed. In modern Russian society, the attitude towards the freelancers is rather neutral, but the share of positive assessments is also high. A small proportion of respondents expressed a negative attitude towards the freelancers, which indicates an overall good attitude towards freelancing. Therefore, the main goal of this article is to identify the attitude towards freelancing in modern Russian society.

The article analyzes the main results of a sociological study conducted in January-March 2020 with the aim of identifying the attitude of modern Russian society to corruption, forming a social portrait of a corrupt official and analyzing the consequences of corrupt behavior. Particular attention was paid to the population’s assessment of the main corruption threats, the consequences of the functioning corruption relations, the effectiveness of government measures in combating corruption. There was revealed the duality and distortion in the definition of corruption among citizens and experts. On the one hand, they perceive corruption as a social problem in modern Russian society. On the other hand, some forms of corrupt behavior have a right to exist. On the basis of the study, the signs of acts of corruption were identified: benefit or advantage for both parties, mutual consent of the participants in the action, the emergence of mutual obligations, the basis on violation (non-compliance) of the law or moral standards adopted in society, personal benefit of the party to the detriment of public interests, committing in a hidden form. Among the main negative trends in the Russian society arising in connection with the development of corruption, the authors highlight the weakening of the role of the law, a decrease in the economic agents’ trust in the state, a decrease of trust to the government, a slowdown in economic growth and development, an increase in social inequality and social tension; deterioration of the investment climate. There is a need to form anti-corruption models of behavior in society and use all existing mechanisms aimed at countering the development of illegal practices. It has been determined that in order to solve the problem of corruption, it is necessary to use a complex of institutional, economic, legislative, educational and educational measures of state regulation.

Protest actions of the population are the most important factor in the transformation of the society’s political systems. The authors consider protest moods monitoring to be an indicator of the government legitimacy and an integral part of public opinion. At the same time, indicators of citizens’ protest activity often become hostages of political technologies and public consciousness manipulation. The paper attempts to give an analytical description of dynamic potential and actual indicators of street protest activity in modern Russian society, which is done based on the materials of monitoring surveys conducted by leading sociological agencies, as well as information from the media and non-government organizations. It is shown that street protest activity as such can indicate deep social contradictions in Russian society. The main reason for mass protests of the population is essential problems that affect specific vital interests of ordinary people. In addition, the border between socioeconomic and political requirements is becoming increasingly blurred. At the same time, it is revealed that manifestations of street protest activity in modern society are situational. The social resource of rallies and demonstrations among the population is relatively limited. Survey data indicate that the majority of Russian citizens do not support participation in mass protests against decreasing living standards, in defense of their rights. In case of such protests they will most likely not take part in them, and, in general, they hold an opinion that mass street protest movement is unlikely to develop. According to the authors, the possible scenario for the protest situation development in society will depend on what problem factors determining the «peak» social tension and protest potential will coincide, as well as on the intensity of those factors.

The article considers the contradictions and conflicts that are characteristic of modern Russian society. The processes of social disintegration are analyzed and interpreted as a result of fundamental social and economic transformations. The problems of economic inequality are presented in the historical perspective in close connection with the previous stages of Russia's socioeconomic development. Significant polarization of the population is one of the most significant conflict factors in modern society, which leads to an increase in protest moods and may in the long term threaten social upheavals. Nevertheless, dissatisfaction with the socio-economic situation does not lead to ideas of the unification and consolidation of society, but find expression in social conflicts. The emergence and development of social conflicts is influenced by a number of factors: economic, ethnic, religious. One of the most important characteristics of society is its social structure. After the collapse of the USSR, the previous social structure was abolished, and a new social reality was formed in Russia. When considering the stratification structure of society, most attention is paid to the middle class, which is considered the backbone of a stable society. The middle class in Russia is in the stage of formation, it is hardly possible to speak of a complete analogy with the middle class of Western society. The share of middle class in society can be estimated in different ways depending on the methodological approaches used by researchers. An important consequence of the transformation of the social structure was the problem of marginalization, since the dismantling of the old social structure and the slow formation of the new one put the social status and place in the division of labor system of many individuals into question. The sharp impoverishment of representatives of prestigious professions led to a reassessment of their situation, especially for the younger generation. When analyzing the origins of social conflicts in modern Russian society, it is necessary to consider the issue of the attitude of the broad masses of the population to power and national elites. It should be noted that power in Russia historically takes shape around specific leaders and does not have an institutional character. The most significant factor shaping the attitude towards the authorities and the elite in general in Russian society are the economic results of the market reforms that have taken place. Only a small part of the population believes that they won as a result of the changes that have taken place, the natural consequence of which is the population's distrust of the authorities and, in general, political institutions.
