We considered the implementation of the effective management strategy of the innovation process from the point of view of its integration and existing problems. We have marked the role of priorities that explain the interrelation of the levels of the state planning and the innovation processes management of socio-economic systems. We have shown the substantive part of the strategic planning and the role of the tools ensuring the achievement of goals and objectives of innovation processes. We have summarized the content of the strategic planning. The research results of the tools role determined the conditions of the innovation infrastructure formation and the list of its components. We used the following tools for the analysis: direct government influence; unity of monetary and fiscal policies; consolidated revenue policy; reforming of the conditions, the traditions and the practices of interaction between the banking and real sectors of the national economy. We applied a retrospective approach during the analysis of the innovation infrastructure algorithm. The authors made the correction of the analysis using the concept of national innovation systems (NIS). We made the conclusions based on the author’s point of view due to the lack of a generalized definition and the methodology of the NIS in the academic literature. We proposed a lineal algorithm that provides and implements the strategy of managing the innovation processes, as well as the tools. We highlighted the factors that prevent the problems in the formation of an effective management, and we have also pointed out that it is necessary to take into account the specific conditions of the country, its trends and challenges. Based on the analysis, we named the additional features to trace the management problems. We suggested the measures to ensure the greatest effectiveness of the implementation of the effective management strategy from the standpoint of mentality and timeliness. The author's algorithm has been justified as the most feasible in the modern conditions, revealing the existing interrelations between the subjects of the innovation process.

Studies have shown that the paradox of “the more resource-rich the poorer” otherwise known as “resource curse” has been prevalent in many countries endowed with natural resources. To mitigate this trend, a revenue management strategy called Natural Resource Funds (NRFs) - a government owned special-purpose vehicle to ensure effective management of the country’s natural wealth was embraced in some nations. This paper critically reviewed the roles of NRFs in breaking the resource curse. The Systematic Quantitative Assessment Technique (SQAT) was adopted in identifying and reviewing sixty-seven (67) peer reviewed journal articles that had researched on NRFs in the last decade. The findings were that NRFs have played an effective role in some advanced countries (Chile and China), while they have failed, especially in Africa, Middle East and Latin America due to poor institutional framework and governance. A globally set code of resource governance was recommended to strengthen the role of NRFs and enhance their effectiveness. Resource revenue maximization other than revenue utilization would be a good area for future research.

Knowledge has always been, and still is, a crucial source of economy. However, during the past few years we have seen a growing interest in treating knowledge as a significant organizational resource for innovation. This trend coincides with the rapid development of ICT, indicating the strong influence that ICTs have on the processes of creating, disseminating, and using knowledge. At present, issues of innovation management and knowledge management are studied independently, which creates a certain gap in the systemic understanding of the innovation development processes. The paper proposes an integrated approach to the issues mentioned. The hierarchy and taxonomy of knowledge are considered from the point of view of their influence on decision-making at different stages of the innovation lifecycle. Our proposition complements and contributes to several recent models of decision-making developed in the frame of the innovation process.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to shed light on an aspect of service innovation processes that has remained fairly hidden so far, namely, the role of emotions. Design/methodology/approach – The authors use the strategizing approach from strategy research, which focusses on detailed processes, practices, and discourse, to understand the influence of emotions on service innovation processes. The empirical data stem from a longitudinal ethnographic study of a service innovation process. Findings – In the investigated case, the dominant emotion of anxiety is revealed. The authors focus on this emotion in order to explore how it affects the innovation process itself and the outcome. The authors identify five emotion-driven practices that form elements of what the authors label emotional strategizing. Practical implications – Emotion seems to give energy and direction to the service innovation process. This is both positive and challenging for top-level managers. Originality/value – The authors reveal a hidden aspect of service innovation processes – the effect of emotions. Furthermore, the authors show that emotions are important because they give energy and direction to the innovation work, and emerge in practices. Emotional strategizing, as a new term, gives visibility to this important issue.

Purpose. The article substantiates the strategic principles of development interaction systems in innovation processes of the region, which includes defining goals on a conceptual basis to ensure the value of interaction, clarifying the composition of subjects and objects of development regional interaction systems, implementation in certain stages. Design/methodology/approach. The goals set in the study were solved using the following general scientific methods: general scientific and special principles and techniques of scientific knowledge in the field of strategic management of innovative development of territories. Semantic analysis, comparative analysis and systematization method were used to carry out the theoretical substantiation of the system of strategic goals of regional development; the method of grouping, factor analysis, the method of structural-logical modeling is used in the development of a set of operational tasks to achieve strategic goals. An abstract-logical method was used to formulate conclusions and theoretical generalization of the results of the study. Findings. The subject of strategic management interaction in the innovation processes of the region is "innovation development", which takes into account the interests and goals of the subjects in the innovation process of the region. Strategic interaction management is carried out by defining goals on a conceptual basis to ensure the value of interaction, which involves the implementation of certain stages. Adherence to the proposed sequence of stages will ensure the required level of interaction value in regional systems for all participants in the innovation process on a strategic basis. The central apex of the "goal tree" is a strategic goal, in our context - ensuring the value of interaction in innovation processes. This strategic goal is deployed in tactical goals that capture large blocks of action to achieve a strategic goal, namely; block of rational use of innovation resources of the region, block of ensuring the usefulness of interaction, block of optimization of the cost of establishing interaction, block of increasing the productivity of innovation processes in the region, block of development of innovation infrastructure of the region. Practical implications. An obligatory stage in the formation of regional cooperation systems is the coordination and harmonization of the interests of potential participants on the basis a rational compromise to achieve the goals of regional development. The specified strategic goal is developed by the authors into tactical goals, which fix large blocks of actions to achieve the strategic goal, namely the block of rational use of innovation resources of the region, the block of ensuring the usefulness of interaction in regional interaction systems, the block of optimizing regional interaction, block of development of innovation infrastructure of the region. The need for improving regional management of the development interaction systems in innovation processes is due not only to its national importance for the development of NIS, but also the economic content - the formation of the economic base and support drivers of social and economic development of regions. It was proved that regional government institutions should fully support the development of the economy on market principles, while assuming the main responsibility for comprehensive overall regulation and strategic planning of economic development and direct support of the innovation process. Originality/value. For each of these blocks of strategic goals, the article substantiates a set of socio-economic tools for implementing tasks in regional interaction systems, which differ in the components of interaction systems, scope, nature of direction, duration, complexity of use, level of consistency, purposes of use, source of funding, direction raising funds. Summarizing the substantiation of strategic goals for interaction systems development in innovation processes of the region, it is necessary to emphasize harmonization and coordination of goals of interaction system formation with goals of innovative development of the region and individual goals for potential participants of interaction systems. After all, the development of interaction systems takes place through the maximum involvement of market stakeholders in cooperation and ensuring the value of their coordinated joint work on innovative projects and programs.

Stereotactic radiosurgery is an effective management strategy for properly selected patients with arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). However, the risk of postradiosurgical radiation-related injury is higher in patients with large AVMs. Multistaged volumetric management of large AVMs was undertaken to limit the radiation exposure to the surrounding normal brain. This strategy offers a promising method for obtaining high AVM obliteration rates with minimal normal tissue damage. The use of embolization as an adjunctive method in the treatment of large AVMs remains controversial. Unfortunately, staged-volume radiosurgery (SVR) has a number of potential pitfalls that affect the outcome. The aim of this article is to highlight the role of SVR in the treatment of large AVMs, to discuss the outcome comparing it to other treatment modalities, and to discuss the potential improvement that could be introduced to this method of treatment.

Abstract The objective of this study is an ontological analysis of the digital object (DO), of a relatively recent phenomenon that has emerged in relation to the performance of production enterprises. We analyzed the additional benefits that economic actors can gain from using the DO. This object is fairly well-understood from a technical point of view; although there are many options for its definition, its basic composition and functionality are defined clearly, but currently in the economic science DO has not yet been enough considered. The DO, which first appeared as a digital twin has not been properly explored by economic science. The ontological analysis of the DO within the existing conceptual framework of economic science are presented. The DO is comprehensively examined to determine whether all the properties and characteristics of the DO are described by modern economic language or whether there is a need to introduce new concepts and categories to describe such objects. We propose to analyze the DO in terms of such economic categories as goods, innovation process, the system of division of labor, the role of market participants in the creation and use of the DO, intellectual property, etc.
