Prominent among religions that claim direct or indirect lineage to Abraham are Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The three religions are known as monotheistic. Although, their interpretations of monotheism are closely similar, they have salient differences. Such differences have spurred unhealthy arguments, rivalry and hatred between some Christians and Muslims. Thus, this paper highlights some of the basic differences between Islam and Christianity traceable to scriptural differences and interpretations and the causes of disagreement between Christianity and Islam with a view to offering recommendations that would foster goodwill and engender better relationship between Christians and Muslims. The paper adopted a comparative and analytical system of research with library information and experiences as the major data gathering tools. The study finds that misinformation, ignorance, deliberate distortions, media irresponsibility among others is the major causes of disharmony among Christians and Muslims. The paper recommends mutual love and respect, constant dialogue, education and other factors that would improve the attitude of Christians and Muslims towards one another.

Concepts and Analytical Techniques of Administrative PhenomenaAmong the phenomena inherent in administrative activities, four key categories may be distinguished: (1) the “duties” of the administration which give rise to whole families of activities and operations; (2) administrative “roles” which facilitate execution of these duties and provide the functional means for their execution; (3) administrative “organs” or institutions, charged with exercising the executive powers and which organize the agents assuming various administrative roles; and (4) the administrative “process” or information exchange circuits which inter-connect administrative duties, roles, and organs. It is argued that the roles emerge from the type of operation, that the organs are, in several forms, postulated by the types of roles, and that the administrative processes are brought into being by the differing outcomes of the work of the administrative organs. We have here the embryo of a structural-functional theory of administration. The thesis is presented throughout as a method of analysing the organization and operation of administrative institutions and as a means which may be used for reforming them. Such an analytical system could serve as a bridge facilitating comparative analysis of different administrative institutions and as the administrative element of a general theory of politics.

This article intends to investigate this issue objectively and honestly without bias from the comparative viewpoint between Islam and Christianity. The methodology of the article is to have a comparative analysis of the concept of salvation in both Islam and Christianity by presenting the similarities and differences. This article utilises passages from the Qur’an and the Gospel as primary sources, which will be complemented with journal articles as a secondary source. The first section looks at the terminology of ‘salvation’ within Islam and Christianity from the viewpoints of sin, repentance and forgiveness, as salvation in both Christianity and Islam means saving from the consequences of sin, and in both religions this involves repentance by humans and forgiveness by God. The second part of this article will examine how Muslims and Christians view Jesus in relation to salvation. This is tied to salvation because the death and resurrection of Jesus is how Christians believe salvation has been accomplished. The final section of this article analyses the God doctrine of Christianity and the God concept of Islam from the comparative perspective with regards to the topic of salvation. This comparative analysis will be important in highlighting the similarities between the two Abrahamic faiths, and that such commonalities can be used as a basis for respect and peaceful co-existence between Christians and Muslims.

Globalization processes, which are aimed at forming a single language of different cultures, raise problems of modern identity and its transformation. The process of self-identification is complex and depends on the existing worldview, so the transformation of identity entails a change in the worldview, and vice versa. In other words, such transformation can be seen as transgressive processes, which is clearly demonstrated in the example of religious practice. The religious worldview is rather stable, but significant changes are observed today. Influenced by syncretism fashion, new religious practices start blurring the boundaries of the world confessions that have been formed over the centuries, replacing the sacrament of conversion with an act of uncontrolled religious transgression, which is especially characteristic of believers who do not feel a special craving for integral system of dogmas. The authors used the term transgression to fix the phenomenon of crossing the impassable border between the possible and the impossible, leading in some cases to a breakthrough beyond the boundaries of everyday commonness and generally accepted norms. This process is both constructive and destructive, but it is destructive to social norms. Therefore, special attention is paid to the act of religious transgression related to the transition to another faith, which makes it necessary to study in the framework of the article bans and recommendations designed to create a limit of impassability on the borders of world confessions. Based on the comparative analysis of various rules and regulations adopted in Judaism, Islam and Christianity in order to regulate believers’ behavior, the social effect on the formation of the individual religious worldview is analyzed.

This paper presents the results of a research work carried out in order to develop a novel gaming model for formative knowledge assessment (FKA). The benefits of FKA are well acknowledged by educators as it aids for better learning. As FKA is more frequent, the students’ willingness to take frequent assessments is poor. Often the students expressed that they felt uncomfortable and this resulted in lack of active participation. These are considered as major challenges to be addressed. Hence, this research aimed to find a way to make the assessments interesting. Based on the positive responses for game-based learning, a theoretical model that integrates the principles of extensive games (EGs) and concept map (CM), namely concept tree game (CTG), has been defined and developed. Further, a qualitative research has been performed to evaluate the impact of the FKA model. Major data gathering techniques used in this work were a class test, proposed FKA method, participant observation, survey and focussed team interview. The data were analysed statistically and the results revealed that it has been effective and useful for educators in assessing the knowledge of students and for students, it aided them to know where they stand and helped them to learn effectively.

In chapter 4, the particular epistemological aspects of the study’s research programme as well as its actual methodological approach and the database are outlined. As sketched out in chapter 3, the study adopts a conditional perspective towards the local context as a crucial factor in shaping local responses to the ESF. For analysing the role of contextual conditions, Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) is used in the study, and its main features are described in chapter 4. Furthermore, the chapter provides insights into the research design, data gathering and data processing.
