This study aims to determine the factors that influence student learning outcomes and the level of efficiency of the use of these inputs. Respondents in this study were the recipients of the 2015 - 2017 Bidikmisi class at the PIPS Department of the University of Jambi FKIP, namely 53 people. This study uses quantitative methods. Data were analyzed using the Stochastic frontier production function approach. The results showed that, first the use of books / modules had a positive and significant effect on the learning output of bidikmisi recipient students. Second the use of material photocopy material has a positive and significant effect on learning output. And, third, the use of pulses for internet access has a positive and significant effect. The level of student learning efficiency in using learning inputs averaged 94 percent. Student learning inefficiency is influenced by organizational activities and interaction with Bidikmisi managers, significant at α = 5 percent.

The spread of the Corona virus has had a significant impact on the world of education. The policy taken by many countries, including Indonesia, is to close all educational activities. This makes the government and related institutions have to present an alternative learning process. Many factors affect student learning outcomes coupled with changes in learning conditions due to the Corona virus (Covid-19) outbreak. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the impacts and constraints of the Covid-19 outbreak on teaching and learning activities, especially in Geography subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Sikur. Data collection was carried out using the pretest - posttest method of students' abilities before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out by quantitative methods using paired sample t-test to test the difference in the effect of the two treatments on the interrelated sample groups. The results of the analysis indicate that there is a difference in the average Geography learning outcomes of 11th grade of social science students before and after the outbreak of the corona virus. Information was obtained that the average value of student learning outcomes during the face-to-face learning process was 86.27, better than the average value when the learning process was carried out online which was 75.73. The Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) instituted an upper-division “Writing for Chemists” course in fall 2017 that fulfills part of UCI’s writing graduation requirement. During the 2019-2020 school year, we re-designed the course using a specifications grading system with the following goals: 1) to teach students how to develop their own writing practice, while mastering chemistry discipline-specific writing conventions, 2) to provide students with frequent and constructive instructor and teaching assistant (TA) feedback by providing ample revision opportunities, 3) to increase transparency in how students can achieve course SLOs, and 4) to provide students with consistent and clear assessment rubrics. This specifications grading approach uses a high-pass, low-pass, unsatisfactory system predicated on whether students meet a certain number of criteria for each assignment. Achievement of Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) was assessed using criteria instead of points so that instructors and students could more objectively measure student learning. Standardized rubrics and a student grade tracker helped students understand the relationship between meeting criteria, achieving SLOs, and earning grades. Students completed surveys at the end of the course to determine if their writing habits and attitudes towards writing changed. After the course, students self-reported increased propensities to pre-write and edit, and several students mentioned that they appreciated the transparency of the specifications rubrics and the control the specifications system gave them over their grades.

This paper analyzes the contributon of primary input; capital anda labor, on sectoral performance in Indonesia. The analysis cover sall sectors both in national and regional level, and also the dynamic of input efficiency across period. Using stochastic frontier production function approach, this paper found the aggregate share of capital is 0.20 and 0.34 for labor; conforming the dominance of labor. The highest three technical efficiency is Mining sector (88.65%), Manufacture (70.47%) and Financial (65.93%), while the lowest one is Electric, Gas and Water (25.38%).Keywords: efficiency, stochastic frontier, productivity, Indonesia.JEL Classification: D24, J24, O18

Small developing countries have for long acquired significant benefits through preferential trading arrangements. However, these benefits have led to a proliferation of inefficient industries in the recipient countries. With the recent changes in the GAIT, these inefficient industries may close and thus lead to major economic and social problems in the recipient countries. This paper utilizes the frontier production function approach to examine the efficiency status of Fiji's sugar industry. The analysis reveals that a significant level of inefficiency exists at the farm level of Fiji's sugar industry. Some of the factors that were found to effect the level of efficiency are farming status, land class and ethnicity. These factors are then used to derive policy implications.

This study aims to find out the application and contribution of smartphone-based application ““quizizz”” as learning media in the University of PGRI Madiun. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data analysis technique used is an interactive method, including the process of collecting data, reducing data (compiling data in patterns, categories and specific issues), presenting data (compiling data in the form of matrices, graphs, networks, certain charts) and drawing conclusions. This research was conducted at the University of PGRI Madiun. The subjects of this study were students in Accounting and Economic Education. The results showed that the usage of smartphone-based application “quizizz” as learning media can make students enthusiastic in participating in learning, so students can focus and maximize the use of smartphones as a fun learning media. The concept of maximum learning will have an impact on improving student learning outcomes.

Improving the quality of education is based on the formation of the quality of learning through teacher competence in managing the classroom. However, the problem is that the learning outcomes of history are still relatively low because the competence of teachers in applying the method is still monotonous. On the other hand, the VCT learning model can provide creative-critical power, foster positive attitudes, interests, and values in students in learning history. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of the Value Clarification Technique learning model on student learning outcomes of history. The research method used quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental design. The research design used was the Non-Equivalent Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study was all students of grade XI. At the same time, the sampling technique is purposive sampling which is divided into two classes into the experimental group and the control group. The results of this study indicate that the VCT learning model affects student learning outcomes in history learning.
