Understanding concepts is one of the goals of learning physics, however there are manyindications that students have learning difficulties. This study aims to determine theunderstanding of the concepts and difficulties of students in work and energy materials and tocompare the results across semesters. This quantitative study involved 152 students majoringin physics at one of the universities in Bengkulu Province. The research instrument consistedof 4 well-reasoned multiple choice questions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The reason is used for categorizing the level of understanding of student concepts. The resultsshowed that the level of understanding of student concepts was in the category of IU(Incorrect Understanding). Students are also indicated to experience difficulties in the sub-concept of energy, effort due to gravitational force, effort due to non-conservative force, andmechanical energy.

Online and offline learning will have a different impact on the level of understanding of students about learning materials. In this study the researchers tried to find out how the learning activities of Biology Education students at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung during the pandemic were related to changes in routine during the pandemic which affected the enthusiasm for learning and understanding of lecture material during the pandemic compared to before the pandemic. This research uses descriptive research method because in its implementation it includes data, analysis and interpretation of the meaning and data obtained. This study uses a questionnaire, the list of questions is structured in the form of multiple-choice questions and open questions (multiple choice questions and open questions). This method is used to obtain data about the effect of changes in the routine of Biology Education students during the pandemic on learning enthusiasm and understanding the material from respondents. Biology education students admit that there have been significant changes in their routine during the pandemic period. These changes have an impact on student learning activities.

Students as pre-service science teachers have to reach concept mastery during learning process, since it includes in a teachers’ pedagogical competence that has to be attained well. Although this current circumstance is under covid-19 pandemic, however distance learning should provide an effective situation that can gauge students’ concept mastery. This study aims at evaluating pre-service science teachers’ concept mastery in the topic of biodiversity during distance learning under circumstance of covid-19 pandemic. The research included in a descriptive quantitative study. The distance learning was conducted in the lecture of bioconservation during odd semester, on September 2020 toward 50 students in the year academic of 2017. Data were collected using an online test consisting of 10 multiple choice questions. Findings indicates that the pre-service science teachers’ concept mastery reached a score of 53.0 in which was categorized as moderate criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the concept mastery has to be enhanced continually in every learning process in order pre-service science teachers are able to comprehend science concepts and enhance this mastery respectively.

The focus of this study is to determine students' difficulties related to mastering the concept of Archimedes Principles topics. The study used descriptive quantitative method with the subject 35 XIth students. The research instrument was 10 multiple choice questions about Archimedes principle. Although there are improvements, but overall students do not fully understand the concept of the Archimedes principle. Difficulties among students are failing to understand that the buoyancy force is the resultant force by fluid pressure on the object and still considers the immersed object to have the Archimedes force affected by the depth of the object. When working on the application of the problem the students managed to answer correctly, but when completing the formulation questions the students were still get difficulties

ABSTRACT In this paper we investigate the effectiveness of an online learning resource for introductory financial accounting students using a suite of online multiple choice questions (MCQ) for summative and formative purposes. We found that the availability and use of an online resource resulted in improved examination performance for those students who actively used the online learning resource. Further, we found a positive relationship between formative MCQ and unit content related to challenging financial accounting concepts. However, better examination performance was also linked to other factors, such as prior academic performance, tutorial participation, and demographics, including gender and attending university as an international student. JEL Classifications: I20; M41.

Specifically designed to help candidates revise for the MRCS exam, this book features 350 Single Best Answer multiple choice questions, covering the whole syllabus. Containing everything candidates need to pass the MRCS Part A SBA section of the exam, it focuses intensively on the application of basic sciences (applied surgical anatomy, physiology, and pathology) to the management of surgical patients. The high level of detail included within the questions and their explanations allows effective self-assessment of knowledge and quick identification of key areas requiring further attention. Varying approaches to Single Best Answer multiple choice questions are used, giving effective exam practice and guidance through revision and exam technique. This includes clinical case questions, 'positively-worded' questions, requiring selection of the most appropriate of relatively correct answers; 'two-step' or 'double-jump' questions, requiring several cognitive steps to arrive at the correct answer; as well as 'factual recall' questions, prompting basic recall of facts.
