Teaching an introductory web design course is already a blended environment. Students meet face-to-face, yet have access to a myriad of online resources, YouTube videos, blogs, and forums to support their learning. However, the challenges of learning to understand code can inhibit students and diminish their motivation to look for resources. The authors have attempted to address this issue by focusing on the use and design of games for learning to code, as well as providing video lecture material in combination with the traditional face-to-face learning environment. By using games and gamification in the course design, the authors have found that students are able not only to bridge their knowledge between modalities more smoothly, but that they understand that there are multiple ways to solve a problem and feel empowered to search for solutions in innovative ways.

Information repackaging aims to overcome barriers to delivering information to users. The high frequency of use of learning management system applications and online meetings has caused various obstacles in the learning process, both in terms of learning models and the costs incurred to buy internet packages. This study aims to repack the lecture material using the assistance of the Youtube and Google Sites applications to support online learning activities. The method applied is applied research in a practical form. Repackaged information is lecture material. The packaging process begins with the selection of lecture materials. Lecture materials are arranged in the form of video tutorials which are divided into several sections. The results of media transfer are stored and published on Youtube. All lecture materials on Youtube are packaged on a website using Google Sites. This study concludes that the combination of Youtube and Google Sites can produce structured and attractive information in the form of an interactive website. Repackaging information using Youtube and Google Sites has changed the paradigm that has been developing, by eliminating dependence on physical media, such as CDs, DVDs, flash drives, and other storage media for storage and packaging media.

Objective: For a long time, selection, as a science, has been dealing with the creation of varieties and hybrids of agricultural plants, animal breeds, microorganism strains and studying the methods of all of the above. At the same time, like any component of science, it has its own directions of development, and improves them in time. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to investigate the historical development of selection as a science, to analyze the current state, and to characterize the application of basic breeding methods in aquaculture in Ukraine. Findings: The author of the work reviewed and analyzed professional scientific literature on the development of selection as one of the methods of scientific studies. In particular, the historical aspects of the development of selection in crop production and animal husbandry, including fish farming, have been considered, and its main directions have been highlighted. A promising method for the development of synthetic selection was proposed: reciprocal crossing, and the current state of selection and breeding work in fish farming was described. Practical value: The review of literature sources can be useful for the preparation of lecture material during the training process for training specialists in the specialty 207 "Aquatic Bioresources and Aquaculture", including specialists in ichthyology, veterinary medicine, zoology. Key words: Breeding, genetics, breeding, breed, intrabreed type.

In the present times of globalization, the issues of a high level of proficiency in foreign languages are especially relevant in the context of the significant need for specialists capable of working in an international environment. Foreign language proficiency is a significant condition for establishing and maintaining international business contacts, intensifying professional interaction with foreign colleagues. According to the Bologna Convention, knowledge of foreign languages is an important component of today's mobility of students, teachers and scientists in the context of access to education, innovative research and teaching opportunities in the postmodern European space. All these factors justify the economic value of a knowledge of foreign languages and become one of the key components of the professional competence of future specialists in the postmodern space. Competitiveness of specialists is directly dependent on on the ability to process professional foreign literature, as well as on the usefulness of the ability to listen to lecture material and reports in a foreign language during conferences, round tables and seminars; from the ability to take part in an idiosyncratic conversation on professional and business topics; as well as the ability to search for new information on the Internet or in theoretical scientific sources of the world level; from the ability to prepare and conduct a presentation on a selected topic in postmodern society.

This article presents the authors personal views on the role, the place and the forms of lecture teaching of the morphological disciplines at the medical universities. Historical analysis shows that lecture has traditionally been the leading form of a university education. At the same time, the increasing requirements for the quality and efficiency of the modern educational process, the intensive intercalation of computer technologies in education and medicine raise the question of the preferred methods of conducting this type of classes. In addition, the difficult epidemiological situation, that is observed today around the world, has made its own adjustments to this discussion. The article provides a comparative overview of the various forms of presentation of lecture material (face-to-face lectures, online lectures in synchronous and asynchronous versions), and details the advantages and the disadvantages of each of them. Evaluating the positive and the negative aspects of the remote lectures, we can say that this format is not perfect for studying at a medical university. Moreover, it is not suitable for giving lectures on human anatomy because their demonstrativeness suffers. A lecture is a parade of a department, noticed the academician of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences V.N. Shevkunenko. It can give an ability for a creativity, a lifeline in the process of a powerful flow of information to a student, select the most useful and necessary things, promote the development of а professional competence, help to find guidelines, life values and meanings. All this can be fully implemented only with live communication in а lecture audience, which is the secret of the longevity of a lecture.

Patch-clamp electrophysiological recordings of neuronal activity require a large amount of space and equipment. The technique is difficult to master and not conducive to demonstration to more than a few medical students. Therefore, neurophysiological education is mostly limited to classroom-based pedagogies such as lectures. However, the demonstration of concepts such as changes in membrane potential and ion channel activity is best achieved with hands-on approaches. This article details an in silico activity suitable for large groups of medical students that demonstrates the key concepts in neurophysiology using the LabAXON simulation software. Learning activities in our practical include 1) measurements of voltage and time parameters of the neuronal action potential and its relationship to the Nernst potentials of Na+ and K+; 2) determination of the stimulus threshold to evoke action potentials; 3) demonstration of the refractory period of an action potential; and 4) voltage-clamp experiments to determine the current-voltage relationship of voltage-gated Na+ and K+ channels and the voltage dependence of, and recovery from, inactivation of voltage-gated Na+ channels. We emphasized the accuracy of quantitative measurements as well as the correct use of units. The level of difficulty of the activity can be altered through different multiple choice questions relating to material introduced in the associated lectures. This practical activity is suitable for different class sizes and is adaptable for delivery with online platforms. Student feedback showed that the students felt the activity helped them consolidate their understanding of the lecture material.

Among the most common diseases of humanity in patients of the older age group, there is an articular pathology with degenerative changes in the hyaline cartilage, which significantly limits the functional activity of the locomotor apparatus. The rapid development of experimental scientific research in recent decades has made it possible to revise the concept of the pathogenesis of this process with confirmation of the leading role of inflammation in the development of functional and structural damage in this disease. These new data supported the change in the name of the disease from “osteoarthros” to “osteoarthritis” and justified the positive effects of individual drugs. The proposed lecture material discloses the topic of the modern understanding of the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis and the additional benefits of using drugs from the diacerein group due to their anti‑inflammatory and chondroprotective effect.
