ABSTRACTThe aim of this research is to obtain empirical evidence about the effects of earnings management and disclosure of Corporate Social Responbilty to Sustainability Reporting. Corporate Social Responbilty calculated with a control variable that is leverage, Growth, Roa and Sustainability Reporting projected with sustainability reporting disclosure index with is based on reporting standards Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) that the company discloses in annual reports and ongoing reports. The population in this study is all sub-sectors of manufacturing companies in Indonesia stock exchange (BEI). The total sample is 100 companies selected using the purposive sampling method issued annual reports for the period 2014-2018. Data to be tested using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research are: (1) Earnings management has a significant positive effect on sustainability reporting. (2) Leverage positively influences sustainability reporting. (3) Growth growth has a positive effect on sustainability reporting. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah semua sub sector perusahaan manufaktur di bursa efek Indonesia (BEI).  Total sampel adalah 100 perusahaan yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling yang mengeluarkan laporan tahunan selama periode tahun 2014-2018. Data untuk diuji dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Manajemen laba berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap sustainability reporting, (2) Leverage berpengaruh positif terhadap sustainability reporting, (3) Growth berpengaruh positif terhadap sustainability reporting. (4) ROA berpengaruh positif terhadap sustainability reporting.Kata kunci: manajemen laba, leverage, growth, ROA, sustainability reporting

This study aims to examine empirically the effect of real earnings manipulation to CSR disclosure. A proxy for real earnings manipulation using models Roychowdhury (2006). CSR disclosure is measured using Corporate Social Disclosure Index (CSDI) based item reporting standard Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) are disclosed in the company's annual report. The study sample consisted of 261 manufacturing companies in 2012-2014. The results showed real earnings manipulation significant positive effect on CSR disclosure.Keywwords: Earnings Manipulation, Corporate Social Responsibility, Manufacturing Companies.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, umur perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab soaial perusahaan, profitabilitas berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas, umur perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas, ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan dengan profitabilitas sebagai variabel intervening, dan umur perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan dengan profitabilitas sebagai variabel intervening. Penelitian mengambil sampel perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI).  Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder berupa laporan tahunan perusahaan. Selama periode 2014-2018, terdapat 142 perusahaan manufaktur, dan populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 42 perusahaan. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu metode pengambilan sampel yang ditetapkan oleh peneliti sesuai dengan kriteria tertentu sehingga total sampel adalah 19 perusahaan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan path analysis.  Hasil penelitian meliputi (1) ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, (2) umur perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab soaial perusahaan, (3) profitabilitas berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, (4) ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas, (5) umur perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas, (6) ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan dengan profitabilitas sebagai variabel intervening, (7) umur perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan dengan profitabilitas sebagai variabel intervening.Kata Kunci :   ukuran perusahaan, halaman perusahaan, tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, profitabilitas.AbstractThis study aims to examine whether company size has an effect on corporate social responsibility, company age has an effect on corporate social responsibility, profitability has an effect on corporate social responsibility, company size has an effect on profitability, company age has an effect on profitability, company size has an effect on responsibility social enterprise with profitability as an intervening variable, and company age affect corporate social responsibility with profitability as an intervening variable. The study took a sample of manufacturing companies sub-sector of consumer goods listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of company annual reports. During the 2014-2018 period, there were 142 manufacturing companies, and the population in this study amounted to 42 companies. Samples were selected by purposive sampling technique, which is the sampling method determined by researchers in accordance with certain criteria so that the total sample is 19 companies. Data were analyzed using path analysis. The results of the study include (1) company size influences corporate social responsibility, (2) company age influences corporate social responsibility, (3) profitability influences corporate social responsibility, (4) company size affects profitability, (5) company age affects profitability, (6) company size affects corporate social responsibility with profitability as an intervening variable, (7) company age affects corporate social responsibility with profitability as an intervening variable.Keywords : company size, company page, corporate social responsibility, profitability.

<p class="JurnalASSETSABSTRAK">ABSTRACT</p><p>This study is aimed to investigate the relationship of corporate social responsibility, intellectual capital, and corporate governance on value relevance. The sample employed in this research is manufacturing companies listed on the IDX using secondary data from financial statements and annual reports from 2014 to 2016. The sample was selected by using a purposive sampling method with the number of samples amounted to 159 firm-year. The results of this study suggest that corporate social responsibility and intellectual capital disclosure are not associated with value relevance. Meanwhile, corporate governance is positively associated with value relevance.</p><p class="JurnalASSETSABSTRAK"><em>ABSTRAK</em><em></em></p><p><em>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, modal intelektual, dan tata kelola perusahaan terhadap relevansi nilai. Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI berupa data sekunder dari laporan keuangan dan laporan tahunan dari 2014 hingga 2016. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel berjumlah 159 firm-year. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan dan pengungkapan modal intelektual tidak berpengaruh terhadap relevansi nilai. Sementara itu, tata kelola perusahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap relevansi nilai.</em></p>

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a transparent business practices, which are based on ethical values, by giving attention to the employees, society and environment, and designed to meet the wishes of shareholders and also society in general. This research is based on the belief (ontology) that CSR is a form of responsibility-oriented businesses in the fulfillment of public expectations concerning the existence of a company's business in the hope of obtaining legitimacy from the public. This study is a research conducted on manufacturing companies in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the disclosure of CSR in the annual reports of manufacturing companies in Indonesia. The data used total 18 companies that are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2014-2016 or 90 firms-years.  The sample is obtained by using purposive sampling method. Data collection method used was content analysis of social disclosures in corporate annual reports. Content analysis was conducted using a check list of items of social disclosure in corporate annual reports. Statistical method used is a multiple regression with eviews 9.0. The result of this study indicates that CSR disclosure practices as a field of coverage is significantly influenced by company size and environmental performance. Other factors examined in this study, such as profitability did not affect CSR disclosures made by companies.

Today whole society is concerned about the environment pollution and social problems that can be addressed, at least in part, by identifying, measuring, disclosure and assessing the interactions between business and the environment. Doing its business, the company has a responsibility not only to the owners of capital (stockholders), but also has responsibilities to the employees, suppliers, customers, government agencies and other stakeholders. So, the company must always balance the interests of profit with social responsibility. This study aims to analyze and provide empirical evidence about the effect of disclosure of Corporate Social Responsibility on the financial performance of cement sector companies in Indonesia with Good Corporate Governance as a control variable. Corporate Social Responsibility is measured using the 2016 Global Reporting Initiative G4 Corporate Social Responsibility index, while corporate financial performance is measured by Tobin's Q, Return on Assets, Return on Equity and Net Profit Margin. The object in this study is a sample of cement sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a study time period of 2015-2019. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained through annual reports of public companies. The results showed that Corporate Social Responsibility has a positive effect on the financial performance of cement sector companies in Indonesia. Therefore, companies need to disclosure their performance in in environmental preservation. The community's need for social and environmental responsibility disclosure is a factor that causing a good performance enhancement effect to the cement industry in Indonesia.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh pengungkapan Corporate Social Responsibility pada manajemen laba dengan keberadaan wanita dalam mekanisme Good Corporate Governance sebagai variabel moderasi. Metode penentuan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan kriteria perusahaan yang terdaftar dalam indeks LQ45 di Bursa Efek Indonesia dan menerbitkan laporan tahunan serta laporan keberlanjutan (sustainability report) berturut-turut selama periode 2013-2017. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 40 sampel. Metode dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu Moderated Regression Analysis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengungkapan Corporate Social Responsibility berpengaruh positif pada manajemen laba. Keberadaan wanita dalam komite audit yang mewakili proksi dari variabel keberadaan wanita dalam mekanisme Good Corporate Governance mampu memperlemah pengaruh pengungkapan Corporate Social Responsibility pada manajemen laba. Hasil penelitian ini sejalan dengan teori hipotesis biaya politik yang menyatakan bahwa perusahaan yang memiliki biaya politik yang tinggi cenderung akan melakukan manajemen laba. This study aimed to test how corporate social responsibility (CSR) can affect the impact of corporate financial distress on earnings management. Based on the existing literature, distressed firms tend to hide their financial crises through earnings manipulation. However, as CSR can positively affect companies in terms of performance, risk reduction, and market response, the better a firm’s CSR is the less managers will attempt earnings management even if they experience temporary distress. Consistent with the literature, test results using Korean-listed companies show that distress increased earnings management, and we confirmed that CSR weakened the positive effect of distress on earnings management. After testing each of the CSR subcategories, significant results were found mainly on environmental performance, reflecting the globally increasing interest in environmental issues. This study contributes to the literature on distress and earnings management, which rarely considers CSR as a moderating factor.

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris mengenai  tingkat kesesuaian Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Bank Umum Syariah (BUS) di Indonesia dengan Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Islamic Social Reporting (ISR), dan Ethical Identity Index (EII). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Bank Umum Syariah (BUS) di Indonesia. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan purposive sampling pada semua Bank Umum Syariah (BUS) di Indonesia untuk tahun pengamatan 2013-2015. Sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 11 Bank Umum Syariah (BUS). Metode analisis yang diterapkan dalam penelitian adalah analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ethical Identity Index (EII) memiliki tingkat kesesuaian paling tinggi dengan rata-rata pengungkapan sebesar 72,12%, diurutan kedua adalah Islamic Social Responsibility (ISR) dengan rata-rata pengungkapan sebesar 51,66%, dan yang terakhir adalah Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) dengan rata-rata pengungkapan sebesar 33,21%.

The purpose of this study to determine the effect of tax avoidance, earnings management, and political connection on the corporate social responsibility disclosure (case studies on manufacturing companies listed on the idx for the period 2016-2017). This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the period 2016-2017. The analytical method used in this study is descriptive analysis, classic assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that partially, tax avoidance and earnings management had no effect on corporate social responsibility disclosure, and political connections had a positive effect on corporate social responsibility disclosure. While simultaneously, tax avoidance, earnings management and political connection have an effect on jointly on corporate social responsibility disclosure

ABSTRACT Earning management practices are one of the many things that management can do in achieving company’s goals or management’s personal goals. Through earning management, the company can convey positive signals about the value and achievement of the company to the public. This study aimed to determine out how the impact of environmental aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility on earning management with family ownership as a moderation of causal relationships. This research was conducted at manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2019. The sample selection in this study used purposive sampling method and obtained 43 sample companies using panel data regression analysis techniques for hypothesis testing and processed using Eviews 10. The results of this study indicate that the environmental aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility have a significant negative effect on firm value and risk management is proven to moderate partially the causal relationship.  ABSTRAK Praktik manajemen laba merupakan satu dari banyak hal yang dapat dilakukan manajemen dalam mencapai tujuan perusahaan maupun tujuan pribadi manajemen. Melalui manajemen laba, perusahaan dapat menyampaikan sinyal-sinyal positif tentang nilai dan pencapaian perusahaan kepada publik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh tanggung jawab sosial aspek lingkungan terhadap manajemen laba dengan kepemilikan keluarga sebagai moderasi hubungan kausal tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan manufaktur sektor barang dan konsumsi yang terdaftar dalam Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2018-2019. Pemilihan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan diperoleh 43 perusahaan sampel dengan menggunakan teknis analisis regresi data panel untuk pengujian hipotesis dan diolah menggunakan Eviews 10. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tanggung jawab sosial aspek lingkungan berpengaruh negatif terhadap manajemen laba dan kepemilikan keluarga terbukti momedari secara parsial hubungan kausal tersebut.
