The problem with many alternative decisions in the areas of management and administration commonly referred to as multi-attribute decision problems. For example, the decision problem with many variables so that the target decision can not always be determined easily. Well-known method of approach, to overcome this kind of problem is called the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). AHP technique is given by arranging alternative levels of decision, so as to provide a structured quantitative description. Application of multi-attribute types ofproblems such as problems in the selection of software, car, project proposal, the university, the best employees, and so forth. In this paper, the approach developed using the AHP in software selection project management.

<p align="center"><strong><em>ABSTRACT</em></strong></p><p><em>At this time, often encountered many students who feel wrong in choosing majors and the university even when they are already enrolled, it majors selected not according to their talents and interests.</em><em> Early education of students and students will minimize the potential that they will feel disappointed with their choice when they are educated in college. Therefore, through community service activities is intended to provide education about how and step in selecting or determining the most appropriate option to continue their studies to pursue higher education. After this workshop, students feel very satisfied because they have an alternative keputuan in the selection of majors to continue to pursue higher education in accordance with their interests and talents.</em><em> </em><em></em></p><pre> </pre><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><em>: Analytical Hierarchy Process, making decisions</em>

<p>Decision support systems play a role in helping the university to take appropriate decisions. In this study has made a Decision Support System for Selection of Student Achievement which serves to help the university take the right decision by using the method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The main function of this system is to process the data selection of outstanding students college level.</p>

Methods Dempster Shafer Analytic Hierarchy Process is used to rank or sort information based on a number of criteria. DS/AHP advantage of Pairwise Comparison, Consistency Ratio, and Dempster Rule's of Combination, which is used to generate information systems in the form of a sequence of courses as consideration for the selection of majors for prospective students. The sample used in this study were 29 students of five faculty at the University of Diponegoro. The data used is the standard minimum value of each faculty and the average value of the semester report card 1-5 Mathematics, Indonesian, English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Results of this study was the software selection study program that gives students the value of trust in each department. Testing the validity of the value of the accuracy of the system is done by comparing the majors were chosen with the recommendation majors produced by the system, resulting accuracy of 79.33%.

Grant scholarships to students are conducted by the University based on the achievements achieved. Since the last few years Bhayangkara University has run a Joint Degree Program scholarship in cooperation with Thailand, India, and plans to continue to the Netherlands. In scholarship grants, the Universityoften finds it difficult to determine the scholarship recipients, so it is found that scholarships are not accurate due to the manual system for the awarding of scholarships. The decision support system is an information system aimed at assisting the University in solving the problem of awarding Joint Degree Program scholarship. One method that can be used in decision support systems is Analitycal Hierarchy Process (AHP). The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method takes into account the extent of validity to the extent of inconsistency tolerance of the various criteria and alternatives chosen by the decision maker. In this research, the data used is UBHARA student data 3 last generation. The criteria used are GPA, TOEFL score, TPA Test Score, and Value of Communication Skill Test. From the results of experiments carried out the results of manual calculations of the application and manual calculations from the Institute of Cooperation get a presentation 100% equation in determining scholarship recipients. So as to produce the ranking of students, two students with the highest score in each department that will get a Joint Degree Program scholarship. Keywords: Scholarship, Student, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Decision Support System.

<p>Complexities faced by oil and gas projects due to uncertainty and risk, demand the implementation of project management techniques for their successful completion. Therefore, this is made by using analytical hierarchy process, to identify and prioritize the key factors for successful project management performance of oil and gas projects. These factors are categorized into three groups which include attributes of project staff, project planning process and assessment of project quality. Using expert choice, a hierarchy is developed followed by pairwise comparison based upon data collection from industrial experts of oil and gas sector. Results of analytical hierarchy process (AHP) concluded that, project completion within estimated time and budget, clarity of objectives and involvement of top management are most crucial elements for improvement in project management performance of oil and gas projects. Whereas sensitivity analysis being carried out according to three different scenarios highlighted factors according to their relative importance.</p>

The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) remains a popular multi-criteria decision method. One topic under discussion of AHP is the use of different scales to translate judgments into ratios. The author makes a new approach to compare different scale functions and to derive a recommendation for the application of scales. The approach is based on simple analytic functions and takes into consideration the number of criteria of the decision problem. A generalization of the so-called balanced scale is proposed, and a new adaptive-balanced scale is introduced. Scales are then categorized and compared based on weight boundaries and weight ratios, weight uncertainties, weight dispersion and number of decision criteria. Finally, a practical example of a decision hierarchy is presented applying the different scales. The results show that the generalized balanced scale improves weight dispersion and weight uncertainty in comparison to the fundamental AHP scale. The proposed adaptive-balanced scale overcomes the problem of a change of the maximum weight depending on the number of decision criteria.
