Communication that occurs between parents and children can be studied in pragmatic studies. This study aims to describe the types of illocutionary speech acts contained in parent and child conversations and the speech act functions. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are in the form of speech between mother and child which are heterogeneous and were obtained from Wonogiri, Ngawi, and Kebumen areas. Data collection techniques used include tapping, see proficient engagements, free engages in proficient engagements, records, and note taking techniques. Data were analyzed using Miles & Huberman's theory. The results of this study indicate several illocutionary functions found in mother and child conversation, including to convey / show something, order, praise, convince something, forbid and also cancel.

This study aimed at describing and analyzing the types of speech act and the functions of speech act produced by 3-5 years old students at Jembatan Budaya School Badung. Here, Searle’s theory (1979) is used as the grand theory for analyzing the types of speech act and Leech’s theory (1991) is used for the function of speech act. The research was conducted at Jembatan Budaya School Badung. The subjects of the research were the pre-school students of 3-5 years old in communication. To obtain the intended data, three methods of data collection were used, namely; observation, recording, and note taking. There are three instruments used, namely; researcher, observation, and video recorder. The data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative method. This research discovered two findings as the aims of this research. First, the most frequent type of speech act used by the children of 3-5 years old student is directive, which is followed by commissive, representative, and expressive. Specifically, (1) the children used 6% utterances in representative category, (2) the children used 44% utterances in directive category, (3) the children used 24% utterances in expressive category, (4) the children used 26% utterances in commissive category. Second, the children of 3-5 years old students mostly created speech act for the competitive function, which is followed by convivial function, and conflictive function. Whereas collaborative function did not appear in those children’s communication. The implication of this study is to learn and master pragmatics, especially in the theory of speech acts to be able to understand the speaker’s intention so that the communication expressed is able to be fulfilled.

When the students interact, there is what is called a speech act or language interaction which includes speakers and opposing speakers, both individually and in groups. When interacting, there will be the application of language acts responsively to their fellow scopes, as well as actions in the form of verbal and behavioral. A speaker performs speech acts well because they are used to their environment. As in the santri at the Nurul Ilmi Wal Fikri Jombang Islamic boarding school, for survival in the pesantren the santri interact and there must be a purpose and application or purpose of the interaction. In the application of communication, the researchers observed the students with the illocutionary phenomenon. There are three illocutions contained in this study, namely; directive illocutionary, expressive illocutionary, and commissive illocutionary. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, note taking, and documentation. Data validity techniques include; data transcription, understanding data, verifying data, modifying data and analyzing data. The results of this study are the students at the Nurul Ilmi wal fikri Jombang Islamic boarding school when interacting there will definitely be an application and purpose in communication, which can be verbal or behavioral.

An illocutionary act is a speech act that is usually identified by explicit performative sentences. The research on illocutionary acts in vlogs is an action that shows the meaning of speech during communication. This study aims to describe illocutionary acts on Fiersa Besari's vlog YouTube channel Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 along with its speech function. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The form of research used here is qualitative research. The data source in this study is the vlog Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 on the Fiersa Besari YouTube channel. The data in this study are transcripts of conversations between characters in vlogs. Data collection techniques in research using the observation method and note-taking techniques. The findings in the research in this vlog were only 15 utterances of illocutionary speech acts. From the 15 utterances, 7 data on assertive illocutionary acts, 2 directive illocutionary acts, and 7 expressive illocutionary acts. From this research, it is expected that we can understand the function of illocutionary acts that are relevant to everyday life

Expressive speech act is a type of speech act that functions to express a speaker's psychological attitude towards a situation. The novel My Lecturer My Husband is a novel containing education, love, sadness, and loyalty, so it is very interesting to study and serve as an example of novel learning in schools. This study aims to identify and describe expressive speech acts through the characters. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data of this research are in the form of the utterances of the characters in the novel. The techniques used are reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate that the expressive speech acts in the novel My Lecturer My Husband consist of expressive speech acts in the form of: a) apologizing in the context of making mistakes; b) expressing gratitude in the context of gratitude for the speaker's good deeds; c) praising in the context of praising the beauty and good looks of the speaker; d) blaming in the context of blaming a friend for following wrong advice; e) protest in the context of refusing an arranged marriage; f) mocking in the context of taunting Lecturers as dry chamois; f) complaining in the context of being given multiple assignments by the lecturer.

This research is entitled "Illocutionary Speech Acts in This Program Talk Show NET TV". The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of speech acts of illocution and speech strategies contained in this program. This research uses the illocutionary speech act theory proposed by Searle and the speech strategy proposed by Blum-Kulka. At the data collection stage the listening method is used to help with the note taking technique. Stages of data analysis using contextual methods. The stage of presenting the results of data analysis using formal and informal methods. In this program, NET TV Talk Show found five types of illocutionary acts, namely assertive, directive, expressive, commissive, and declarative. There are five data as assertive acts, eleven data are directive, ten data are expressive, four data are commissive, and three data are declarative. This study found three types of speech strategies, namely direct speaking strategies, indirect speaking strategies, and signaling strategies. There are five data are direct speaking strategies, three data are indirect speaking strategies, and two data are signaling strategies.

Knowing the type of speech act is very important to understand to see the kind of speech act and its meaning and purpose behind the utterance. The purpose of this study is to describe the types, forms, and meanings or intentions of speech acts in the president's speech related to the handling of the coronavirus, especially with pragmatic studies. The type of research used is qualitative research. This study's data source is the video source contained in the upload of an account on Youtube. The data in this study are all speech acts, which are directive speech acts. The data collection techniques used are recording, observation, observation, and note-taking. The results showed: first, the directive speech acts consist of speech acts by asking, inviting, pleading, ordering, and prohibiting. Second, the speech act is in the form of an oral form, an utterance uttered by the president in his speech regarding the coronavirus's handling, which tends to be qualitative. Third, the purpose of this directive speech act has several meanings, namely to influence, invite, something, tell or explain something, expect attention, forbid, praise, criticize, and as a form of channeling complaints.

The purpose of this research is to describe the type and function of speech acts in the film of Asalamualaikum Calon Imamku.. The method of data collection in this study is the observation method, continued by the note taking technique. Then, the data was analyzed by using the theory of speech acts. Based on the result of the research was found five kinds of speech acts used in the film of Asalamualaikum Calon Imamku, namely representative speech acts, directive speech acts, expressive speech acts, commissive speech acts, and declarative speech acts. Representative speech acts found function to report, expect, acknowledge, and show. Directive speech acts found function to force, advise, prohibit, ask, order, beg, invite, and suggest. Expressive speech acts found function to criticize, judge, blame, warn, and praise. The commissive speech act found function to promise and state the capability. The declarative speech act found function to authorize.

This research presents several caricature images with various themes, starting from the issue of resistance between the Muslim Brotherhood and Saudi Arabia. Then there is also about the extreme weather that has hit Saudi Arabia for days, as well as other insinuations that contain the readers' motivation. Through this discussion, the researcher tries to analyze and understand each caricature that is presented in the account. Also through this study, researchers looked for some facts and events that were happening in the State of Saudi Arabia at that time. From that incident, inspiration emerged from a caricature and poured it out through a work called caricature. The purpose of this research is to know and understand well what themes are presented, then to study using illocutionary speech acts based on their types and some using speech acts based on their mode. The theory as a surgical tool in this study uses Searle's speech act theory. Data collection was carried out using observation and note-taking techniques, then all data were put together and analyzed one by one. In illocutionary speech acts, there are five types of speech, namely, assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. The results of the analysis of the caricatures found, there are several meanings, namely, assertiveness can mean to state, express opinions, and propose. The directive is also divided into four functions, namely ordering, ordering, and giving advice. Commissive means promise. Then Expressive can mean complaining, blame. And the last declarative changes the utterance word into a speech.

The problem in this study is how does the form of conversation and mother speech act strategy to the children in Banjar society when gabut baisukan. This study will discuss the form of conversation and mother speech act strategy to the children in Banjar society when gabut baisukan. It is hoped that this study will add the conceptabout one of communication form in Banjarese culture in gabut baisukan.This study uses descriptive qualitative method. The data collection is done through note taking, recording, and also from document, and literature from January 2019 until June 2019. The data are taken from Martapura village, South Kalimantan. This study uses several steps, they are collecting the data, selecting the data, analysis, and presentation. The data presentation uses common words. The result shows that speech act used by mother to the children are dominated by command, while the strategy which is used is positive and negative strategy. The purpose of this research was to analyze the types of speech acts contained in the Galgil T-shirts discourse. The research used theoretical approach, specifically pragmatic and methodological approach which belong to descriptive qualitative. The data in this research were fragments of speech in the Galgil T-shirts discourse. The data were collected by listening technique then continued to simak bebas libat cakap technique and note taking techniques. The heuristic method was used to analyze data. The Data had been analyzed then being presented informally. The results of this research was speech acts in this discourse varies greatly. The types of speech acts contained in the Galgil T-shirt discourse were locutionary, illocutionary, perlocutionary, direct, indirect, literal, non- literal, and direct literal.
