The adoption of a personal health record (PHR) is a crucial element in quality healthcare, allowing patients to permit the storage of their health information to create a more inclusive, reliable health record. However, the embracing of PHRs has been slow compared to other healthcare-related systems due to the poor design and behavioral aspects. The objective of this research is to study user acceptance factors to identify a better design for PHR systems and to promote healthy behaviors that support individuals' performance. The study proposes an integrative adoption model for PHRs that integrates theoretical factors from the health belief model with the user acceptance determinants from the technology acceptance model and innovation diffusion theory. Using structural equation modeling with the R “Lavaan” package, the study tested the hypothesis relationships of the constructs. The data were captured from individuals through Amazon’s MTurk. Among the nine relationships studied, the research revealed six significant relationships that inform the final PHR integrative adoption model. The research provides great insights into the factors that influence individuals’ PHR adoption. The results introduce a novel integration model to the current body of knowledge. This model will contribute to a better theoretical understanding of the actual use of healthcare-related technologies and bring greater estimates of patient engagement in healthy activities.

Snapchat, and Instagram are two social networks which recently gain their users after adopting such a feature called "Story" which allows a certain post to be disappeared after a certain time. This research takes up this technology trends analyzing the factors that probably affect the behavioral intention to use Snapchat and Instagram stories among generation Z. Factors are analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling, with basis model and variables from Technology Acceptance Model. Data collection was targeted to finished within 1 week using online questionnaire with respondent from Jakarta and Tangerang for 100 respondent that are using both Snapchat stories and Instagram Stories. There are two tools researcher usually use to analyze Structural Equation Modeling: SPSS AMOS and LISREL. In this research, researchers choose AMOS. From six hypothesis proposed for Snapchat analysis, four hypothesis is accepted, while the other two are rejected. Meanwhile, on Instagram Stories analysis, five hypothesis is accepted and one hypothesis is rejected. This study finds out the Social Presence is an exogenous variable which has a major role in affecting other variables. While Perceived Enjoyment influenced the behavioral intention to use Snapchat and Instagram Stories the most. Remarkable changes have taken in social operation mode and consumers’ behavior mode because of the foot ban during the pandemic spread of COVID-19. Digital technologies such as Blockchain have shown potential in gaining competitive advantages for enterprises in such situations. This study aims to provide an insight into how to gain consumer loyalty through the use of modern and efficient Blockchain technology. In contrast to the current literature, this study combined the technology acceptance model of planned behavior theory, social exchange theory to explain the loyalty of an online travel agency (OTA) consumer. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from citizens in Hangzhou, a city full of technological innovation atmosphere. Using structural equation modeling with SmartPLS©, responses from 1403 citizens were analyzed. Social norm was discovered to have a positive and significant association with the consumers’ attitude toward technology and thus enhancing the perceived usability and hedonism of OTA application, which can increase consumer loyalty. The findings suggested OTAs may gain consumers’ loyalty through adopting Blockchain technology, and local governments have played a key role in creating such an environment. New technologies have become essential professional and social tools for society. The technological environment and Blockchain within the tourism sector are fundamental elements of China’s economic engine.

It is a class research question about how trust and perceived benefit affect consumers' purchase intentions. This research examines the relationship in a very different context: consumer-to-consumer (C2C) e-commerce in China. Specifically, this research empirically assesses the differences in effect size due to the change of context. First, a theoretical model linking trust, perceived benefit, and their antecedents to purchase intention is developed upon the literature. Then the model is evaluated using empirical data collected at Taobao, the largest C2C e-commerce website in China. Partial least squares based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) results strongly support the model and research hypotheses. A developing country context can indeed affect the strength of effect. These results contribute to the literature in that they provide new insights toward a more in-depth theoretical understanding. Meanwhile, they can also provide useful guidance for managers.

In the age of digital era where the Internet is playing an important and dominant role, the concern of the higher education to ensure that the Internet within the reach of the students is very important. However, little research has been reported to indicate the success of the concern in Indonesia. Therefore, This study was conducted to assess factors influencing Indonesian PSTs’ satisfaction (ST) and intention to use (IU) the Internet for learning through technology acceptance model (TAM). Data was gathered from a total of 596 pre-service teachers (PSTs) from five universities in Indonesia. The measurement and assessment of the model were developed through a partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results informed that Indonesian PSTs’ ST was strongly influenced by perceived ease of use (PEU) and IU. Besides, PSTs’ IU was predicted by Attitude (AT), PU and PEU.

This chapter attempts to study the intentions to use cloud-based CRM applications through a combination between a Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and a Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). To test the different links identified in the research model, a research questionnaire was prepared and sent to marketing managers within Saudi SMEs in Saudi Arabia. A total of 41 useful questionnaires were collected. The authors opted to the structural equation modeling (SEM) using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) to analyze data. The tests are prepared with XLstat software since it integrates both factor analysis and PLS modules. Among the main statistical analyses, the authors conclude that the TPB-TAM is suitable to study cloud CRM. From a managerial perspective, the authors expect that cloud CRM is perceived with good impression and that this new technology should be implemented strongly and gradually in SMEs to improve the quality of services provided to customers and organizations.

PurposeThis paper introduces the term “omni-channel capability” and tests its validity. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of logistics service quality (LSQ) on omni-channel capability.Design/methodology/approachAn online survey was used to evaluate the new concept of “omni-channel capability” and LSQ from the consumer’s perception. A two split sample technique was used to validate omni-channel capability and test the impact of LSQ on it through structural equation modeling. Factor analysis and structural equation modeling were performed to introduce, test and validate omni-channel capability, and test the study’s hypotheses. Consumers who had previously shopped from both the online and physical stores of a particular retailer completed a self-administered survey.FindingsThe findings supported the use of the term “omni-channel capability,” which has three elements: channel consistency, cross-channel and social media. The results also revealed the positive impact of operational LSQ on omni-channel capability.Practical implicationsTaking consumer perceptions as a reference point, this study reveals major issues that retailers should focus on while pursuing an omni-channel strategy. The findings also highlight the need for retailers to ensure operational LSQ to implement an omni-channel management strategy.Originality/valueTo improve on the limited theoretical understanding and empirical grounding of omni-channel management, this study described the three elements of omni-channel capability. The impact of operational LSQ on omni-channel capability gives empirical support for the theorized hierarchy of dynamic capabilities (zero- and first-order capabilities).
