Composites of heterospin molecular magnet [EuIII(SQ)3bipy] in a polystyrene (PS) matrix have been synthesized. This complex [EuIII(SQ)3bipy] contains four paramagnetic centers - the Eu3+ ion and three SQ ligands (SQ—3,6-di-tert-butyl benzoquinone radical anion); bipy (bipyridyl) is diamagnetic. It has been established that intensive mechanical activation of [EuIII(SQ)3bipy]/PS samples leads to an reological explosion, as a result of which radio frequency superradiance, the appearance of free electrons and the formation of Eu metal nanoparticles are observed. The duration of this process is 10 ns.

The effect of mechanical activation of radio frequency superradiance in a composite based on a heterospin molecular magnet and a polystyrene matrix has been established. Mechanical activation was carried out for the first time in unloading mode of rheological explosion .

Zirconium-doped MgxZn1−xO (Zr-doped MZO) mixed-oxide films were investigated, and the temperature sensitivity of their electric and optical properties was characterized. Zr-doped MZO films were deposited through radio-frequency magnetron sputtering using a 4-inch ZnO/MgO/ZrO2 (75/20/5 wt%) target. Hall measurement, X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmittance, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) data were obtained. The lowest sheet resistance, highest mobility, and highest concentration were 1.30 × 103 Ω/sq, 4.46 cm2/Vs, and 7.28 × 1019 cm−3, respectively. The XRD spectra of the as-grown and annealed Zr-doped MZO films contained MgxZn1−xO(002) and ZrO2(200) coupled with Mg(OH)2(101) at 34.49°, 34.88°, and 38.017°, respectively. The intensity of the XRD peak near 34.88° decreased with temperature because the films that segregated Zr4+ from ZrO2(200) increased. The absorption edges of the films were at approximately 348 nm under 80% transmittance because of the Mg content. XPS revealed that the amount of Zr4+ increased with the annealing temperature. Zr is a potentially promising double donor, providing up to two extra free electrons per ion when used in place of Zn2+.

The photovoltaic devices with free electrons of nanometal were studied by nanometal scattering and near-field surface plasmon resonance (SPR) enhancing. The results revealed that devices with metal nonoparticles can improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells. The metal nanoparticles roughness also reduced the incident light reflection and increased the electrical conductivity of metal characteristics.

The sterically congested disilanes tBu2XSiSiXMes2 [X = H (1), X = Cl (2)] have been prepared. An X-ray structure analysis of 1 reveals a preference for the anti-conformation in the solid state. Similar results have been obtained by empirical force field calculations and DNMR spectroscopy. Reaction of 2 with an electron rich olefin leads to a chlorine bridged disilanyl radical whereas treatment with alkali metals yields the corresponding disilenyl radical anion, tBu2Si=SiMes2˙̄.
