In the globe, COVID-19 has disrupted most industries. In most nations, education is the only sector that has fully migrated to the internet environment. During the pandemic, online learning was the greatest option for continued education, particularly in higher institutions. It is common to adopt a one-size-fits-all strategy when changing modes. To put it another way, internal information is transformed into something that can be delivered to an outside audience. There is a preliminary online research of 542 pupils at a Bhopal school that examines difficulties and issues they may have in adjusting to the new "norm". The majority of pupils are not ready for online courses due to a lack of Internet connection.

O boom da internet nos últimos anos levou a sociedade a utilizar novas formas de comunicação. Seus usuários passaram de meros espectadores a produtores de conteúdo. Esta produção de conteúdo leva a uma evolução lógica dos métodos tradicionais de pesquisa, tanto no âmbito empresarial como nas instituições de ensino. Neste cenário, surge o método netnográfico ou, Netnografia. Esta nova ferramenta, focada na pesquisa online, e que favorece a coleta de informações on-line. Este estudo visa esclarecer o conceito básico a respeito da Netnografia, bem como demonstrar a utilização do método nos cursos de Pós-Graduação em Administração no Brasil.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Netnografia; Pós-Graduação; Metodologia da Pesquisa; Administração.   ABSTRACT The growing of the internet in recent years has led society to use new forms of communication. His users went from mere viewers to content producers. This leads to a logical evolution of traditional research methods, both in business and in educational institutions. In this scenario, the netnographic method appears. This new tool, focused on online research favors the collection of online information such as images, vídeos and comments. In this way, the presente study aims to clarify the basic concept regarding Netnography, as well as demonstrate the use of the method in the PostGraduate courses in Business in Brazil.   KEYWORDS: Netnography; Post-Graduation; Research Methodology; Business.   RESUMEN El boom de Internet en los últimos años ha llevado a la sociedad a utilizar nuevas formas de comunicación. The importance of blended learning has been emphasised during the current restriction caused by the coronavirus diseases 2019 (COVID-19). But there is a scarcity of studies on students’ learning experience in blended learning, particularly using WhatsApp as one of the learning tools. A combination of classroom meetings and online learning is implemented in a vocational university in Indonesia. The research reported in this article aims to examine students’ perceptions of their learning experience in a blended method of learning incorporating social media WhatsApp and Google Classroom application as learning instruments. The dataset includes a questionnaire consisting of a four-point Likert scale and open-ended questions, a recording of WhatsApp chat history, and students' work in Google Classroom. Data analysis uses a multi-methods approach. Descriptive analysis is used for the closed-ended questions using the Excel program and content analysis for the open-ended questions. Results show that students positively perceive their learning experience in blended learning. Students also articulate their concerns of the internet connection and instruction clarity on the online learning materials. This paper highlights some implications of the research findings including the lecturer's need for professional development that may enable them to help students succeed in blended learning.

With an increasing number of online courses and degrees offered through the Internet and a rapidly increasing enrollment in such courses, it is important to assess and understand how the use of Web-based features can affect or contribute toward learning. In this research, we propose a model to study the effect of hypertext and animation on online learning.

The Internet hosts an abundance of science video resources aimed at communicating scientific knowledge, including webinars, massive open online courses, and TED talks. Although these videos are efficient at disseminating information for diverse types of users, they often do not demonstrate the process of doing science, the excitement of scientific discovery, or how new scientific knowledge is developed. iBiology ( www.ibiology.org ), a project that creates open-access science videos about biology research and science-related topics, seeks to fill this need by producing videos by science leaders that make their ideas, stories, and experiences available to anyone with an Internet connection.

The educational system across the world has been affected due to outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, this new phenomenon forced teachers and students to do teaching and learning process from home. The purpose of writing this study was to investigate the students' perceptions of online learning has been implemented and the factors that influenced these perceptions. Therefore, this survey asked 60 students in Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Migas Balikpapan to convey their perception on the effect of online during Covid-19. The finding of this study revealed that students positively accepted this new learning system although they’ve found some problems such as difficulty in using application and lack of the internet connection, etc.

This study addresses a relatively new phenomenon in the Malaysian higher education (Massive Open Online Courses) MOOCs and explored the perception of the Malaysian lecturers on the emerging online learning environment. A qualitative case study was adopted and fifteen lecturers were interviewed from a higher education institution in Malaysia. These lecturers are familiar with the blended learning approach. The in-depth interviews were further transcribed and thematic analysis were considered to identify the emerging themes. The study identified themes related to educational change, design of the instruction, motivational and challenging issues. The findings demonstrated that the lecturers were aware of the transition from traditional classroom teaching to the teaching in the virtual platform. The investigation also contributes to greater understanding of challenges of integrating MOOCs in Malaysian higher institutions. Based on the findings, pedagogical implications are discussed on how workshops should integrate certain aspects related to MOOCs that can be useful for the Heads of Higher Institutions and policy makers. It is hoped that these strategic workshops will increase the effectiveness of MOOC implementation in Malaysian higher institutions.   Keywords: Higher education, MOOC, online learning, technology adoption   Cite as: Annamalai, N. The Information SuperHighway, Email, The Internet, FTP, BBS, Modems, : all buzz words which are becoming more and more routine in our daily life. Confusing terminology? Hopefully it won't be in a few minutes, all you need is to have a handle on a few basic concepts and terms and you will be on-line with the rest of the "telecommunication experts". These terms all refer to some type or aspect of tools associated with a range of computer-based communication software and hardware. They are in fact far less complex than the instruments we use on a day to day basis as microscopist's and microanalyst's. The key is for each of us to know what each is and how to make use of the wealth of information which they can make available to us for the asking. Basically all of these items relate to mechanisms and protocols by which we as scientists can easily exchange information rapidly and efficiently to colleagues in the office down the hall, or half-way around the world using computers and various communications media. The purpose of this tutorial/paper is to outline and demonstrate the basic ideas of some of the major information systems available to all of us today. For the sake of simplicity we will break this presentation down into two distinct (but as we shall see later connected) areas: telecommunications over conventional phone lines, and telecommunications by computer networks. Live tutorial/demonstrations of both procedures will be presented in the Computer Workshop/Software Exchange during the course of the meeting.

This essay is written to present a prospective stance on how learning analytics, as a core evaluative approach, must help instructors uncover the important trends and evidence of quality learner data in the online course. A critique is presented of strategic and tactical issues of learning analytics. The approach to the critique is taken through the lens of questioning the current status of applying learning analytics to online courses. The goal of the discussion is twofold: (1) to inform online learning practitioners (e.g., instructors and administrators) of the potential of learning analytics in online courses and (2) to broaden discussion in the research community about the advancement of learning analytics in online learning. In recognizing the full potential of formalizing big data in online coures, the community must address this issue also in the context of the potentially "harmful" application of learning analytics.

The Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is a not for profit mutual defence organization with a mandate to provide medico-legal assistance to physician members and to educate health professionals on managing risk and enhancing patient safety. To expand the outreach to its 72,000 member physicians, the CMPA built an online learning curriculum of risk management and patient safety materials in 2006. These activities are mapped to the real needs of members ensuring the activities are relevant. Eight major categories were developed containing both online courses and articles. Each course and article is mapped to the RCPSC's CanMEDS roles and the CFPC's Four Principles. This poster shares the CMPA’s experience in designing an online patient safety curriculum within the context of medico-legal risk management and provides an inventory of materials linked to the CanMEDS roles. Our formula for creation of an online curriculum included basing the educational content on real needs of member physicians; using case studies to teach concepts; and, monitoring and evaluating process and outcomes. The objectives are to explain the benefits of curricular approach for course planning across the continuum in medical education; outline the utility of the CanMEDS roles in organizing the risk management and patient safety medical education curriculum; describe the progress of CMPA's online learning system; and, outline the potential for moving the curriculum of online learning materials and resources into medical schools.

As more libraries offer patron access to the Internet and other on-line services, they must consider the needs of patrons with disabilities who will be using their Internet links either from the library or from remote sites. In planning and implementing technological improvements to optimize access for all patrons, librarians and information specialists must take into account questions of both physical and intellectual access to electronic information. This paper addresses these issues from a pragmatic perspective, reviewing available options and suggesting strategies for improving access for people with various disabilities.
