Abstract: API (Application Programming Interface) is a sequence of commands, rules, or regulations that enables a software or app to leverage attributes from another application, system, or gadget to improve its own services. In a nutshell, it's a feature that allows apps to connect with one another. The IT industry has a high demand for REST API Development, hence this article provides an interactive teaching and learning platform for REST API Development. Using the LBD (Learning By Doing) concept, the suggested platform seeks to assist users in learning REST API Development. This tool would assist users in learning to design their own APIs by requiring them to practise (either through coding or MCQs). The platform would be based on selfevaluation and reflection models of self-regulated learning, allowing users to learn more effectively. The platform would also try to provide some scaffolding for users that fail test cases, such as assistance in debugging and why they might be failing the test cases. Keywords: REST-API, Teaching Learning Platform, Self-Regulated Learning(SRL), Human Computer Interaction(HCI), Dashboard, Learning by doing(LBD)

This paper addresses the issue of how to assess learners’ engagement with activities designed to develop self-regulatory learning strategies in the context of foreign language teaching and learning. The argument is that, if the aim of these activities is the development of learners’ self-regulation, then the assessment practices used must also reflect this orientation. The problem herein is that traditional assessment practices are typically normative in nature, endorsing understandings of intelligence as fixed and failure as unacceptable. Using such approaches to assess learner engagement with self-regulated learning activities will undermine efforts to promote learner development, and may demotivate learners. This paper will discuss these issues through a critical reflection on assessment practices used to evaluate EFL learners’ engagement with an assessable homework activity designed to develop their self-regulatory strategies. It is argued that learning-oriented assessment principles and practices are most suited to the evaluation of self-regulated learning in EFL. Potential issues related to the application of learning-oriented assessment in EFL contexts are also discussed.

In this paper, the author first analyze the current situation of the present domestic Web-based college English learning platform, analyze and summarize the problems exists, and propose research objectives of this subject. Then, to explore the guidance of theory that design and develop a web-based college English self-regulated learning platform required for; On this basis, according to relevant learning theories and principles of design and development in light of the characteristics of college English and the actual needs, put forward the overall design thinking of developing a web-based College English self-regulated learning platform, constructed the whole platform, design the function and the database detailed, and to carry out specific development. The platform provides students with learning tools, learning resources, exchange platform, test and evaluation platform; can evaluate the learning action, learning processes and learning outcomes of students, students can understand their own learning from the evaluation platform, and then adjust their own learning to obtain high quality and efficiency of learning. Teachers can also use the course release module to enrich the learning resources and realize to share labor of a number of teachers. In order to test the real application of this platform, tested this platform in practice teaching to analyze self-learning process of the students, and an analysis of the data collated. Finally, sum up the characteristics of the platform, as well as inadequacies, and in the basis, outlook the future research direction and focus for future research.

The purpose of this study is to identify the challenges experienced in teaching and learning Bahasa Indonesia for foreigners during covid-19 as well as to find out the strategies and solutions undertaken during online learning. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative using case study approach in Bahasa Indonesia course at Khon Kaen University. The subjects in this study were 3 teachers and 2 students of Bahasa Indonesia class. The finding shows some challenges of learning Bahasa Indonesia such as barriers in communication, the low ability of self-regulated learning owned by students, and the lack of control over the morals and behavior of students during distance learning. While, the solutions offered are still technology-based learning, making short videos as learning material to improve emotional relationships between students and teachers, reducing the level of difficulty and prioritize meaningful learning, and conducting multi-literacy learning. On the other hand, the techniques used are producing teachers' labs, conduct self-assessment as a reflection of self-regulated learning, and involving parents as substitutes for instructors in controlling values and morals. Self-regulated learning, as well as parental involvement, are extremely needed.

This research is designed as a research action performed to improve students' understanding of Arabic vocabularies by taking several actions aimed at improving (1) Students’ motivation in practicing self regulated learning, (2) Students’ readiness before entering class, and (3) Students’ involvement in teaching and  learning process. The subject of the research was the first semester female students of C-26 mubtadi' class in the Special Program of Arabic Language Learning. This research is conducted in a dynamic and complementary process consisting of four important cycles, for example: planning, action, observation, and reflection. From the analysis, it is revealed that there were some actions that positively affected the students' understanding of Arabic vocabularies.

Teaching speaking is considered challenging during this outbreak era where lecturers and students cannot have a face-to-face meeting while in fact, students still need to get examples from lecturers related to pronunciation and intonation especially. A module of speaking for informal interaction is developed to support the process of teaching and learning speaking skills. This module comes with an audio-CD of daily expressions records spoken by a native speaker to give examples of standard pronunciation and intonation. This study aims to explain the steps used in the learning process using the module. It uses narrative design to describe the steps. The findings of the study implied that lecturers need to explain what the module is and how to use it followed by some steps; introducing lesson plan, playing audio-CD, imitating the records, practicing independently, working in pairs, reporting works, receiving feedback. By giving the model or examples in audio, students can repeat it as much as they need and whenever they need it. This study's implication is giving standardized materials using authentic materials to teach speaking skills with a self-regulated learning strategy.

<p><em>Elementary School is foundation of education in Indonesia that is very important to curve character and success in academic when they are be adult. Many factors that influence in the formation of characters and academics success of the students one of them is the ability of self-regulation or Self-Regulated Learning in learning activities in elementary school. Self-Regulated Learning has an important role in the implementation of teaching and learning process, especially in determining the success of teaching and learning process, because students who have this ability can manage and self-directed, able to adjust, and self-control, especially when facing difficulties in the learning process. This research is limited to a preliminary study covering three steps: (a) initial data and information collection; (b) planning; and (c) initial product development. By applying the learning strategy of SRL, students can arrange themselves in learning by involving the ability of cognition, metacognition, motivation, and active behavior as well as managed learning or in other words learning that rests on self-regulation.</em></p>
